My family (ages 64-2) rented this home for a week long vacation and we were all more than satisfied. The views are amazing, home was clean, essentials (plus some) were provided, and hot tub was hot upon arrival. Communication was top notch and the management team was very accommodating. The location is perfect as it’s not in town but not too far out of town. You’ll get the watch the train go by most mornings/evening too! We will definitely be back!

We loved this house! There was plenty of room to spread out both inside and out and it had all the comforts of home. The hands down crowd favorite was the hot tub on the back deck overlooking the mountains, absolutely stunning views.

This home was very relaxing and comfortable with beautiful views. The location was perfect and the train to Silverton was exciting for us in the mornings and evenings as they passed by down the hill. We stayed in the hot tub longer than we ever have, just because of the views/quietness and coolness of evenings. Highly recommend this place for relaxation and yet close enough to town for excitement.

Very nice

We enjoyed staying here for two reasons, it’s about 10 mins north of town and the views from the back porch are amazing. The roadway noise is present but it didn’t bother us.

We booked this for the view and were blown away by the actual home itself. Close to Durango (the historic train comes within 30’ of the property!), very well appointed, lots of extra touches and space for everyone in our group. The rental computer was easy to work with and gave us personalized attention. Again… the views alone are spectacular and the home is homey and has everything you need.

We were very pleased with the home and the communication with the property management company. Would definitely stay again.

Very pleased with our stay in this beautiful property. Tremendous views...spent a good deal of time just enjoying the deck and the hot tub. The house is well equipped and was very clean. Our master bed was very comfortable. Lots of beach towels provided for spa, which had been freshly served and very clean. About ten minutes to downtown Durango, so location was excellent as far as we were concerned. We've been going to Durango each summer for the last few years and this VRBO will be our new first choice. Communication with management company is very efficient and responsive. Highly recommend

Beautiful home in a gorgeous location. Totally private with an expansive deck, hot tub, and lovely views. The Durango Sliverton Rail Road (steam train) passes right below the property and it was fun to listen for the horn and watch the train pass by. We "chased" the train in the surrounding area and got lots of fun photos. The woodburning fireplace is another plus. We loved relaxing in front of the fire in the evening, especially in the perfect reading nook that has a very comfortable chair. Master bath could use some updating, but everything else was perfect!

Gorgeous cabin with incredible views…and owners have thought of everything you could possibly desire! It’s absolutely perfect. Loved seeing the train pass…so fun. Sunrises over the mountain ranges unbelievable and evenings in the hot tub were so relaxing. The location is fabulous as well. Great fall vacay!! We will be back!

We celebrated my brother's 50th birthday during our stay! The house was ideal for us...4 adults and 3 kids ages 12-16. We had an amazing time! As you have seen from other reviews, the views are spectacular! The pictures in the listing are a fraction of what you experience. Evenings in the hot tub was fun! The house was very clean and well stocked. The property manager was easily accessible and helpful. Check in and out was easy. The location is ideal. It is about 10-15 min. to Durango and Purgatory Mountain. We loved the house so much, we cancelled one day of activities to just hang out. :) We loved the memories we made during our stay and would definitely rent this property again. Just a couple of things we noticed. The first time we used the hot tub, the chlorine was overwhelming and burned our eyes. Maybe take the covering off and let it run for awhile before getting in. We didn't have trouble after the first day. There is no window coverings for one of the big windows in each of the upstairs bedrooms and the light comes in early, so be prepared for that. If you are in the house during the summer, there is air conditioning, however it does get warm upstairs. I appreciated the fans that were provided, and it did cool down the rooms, however, the fans are loud if you use them during the night. The dishwasher had trouble dispensing the soap pods.

The home was awesome. Very comfortable for our family of 5. We loved the hot tub and views from the awesome deck. Also loved the train going right by the house. Would stay again.

High marks all around. This is a beautiful house, at the end of a road with a fantastic view. Everything worked, everything was clean, instructions were clear. This house has everything you might need for a week's stay. Very comfortable for six people, plus a couple more if kids involved. It's in a great location, 10 minutes back to Durango, 10 minutes closer to Silverton/Ouray and all that magic. Loved watching the Silverton/Durango train go by underneath the house. Love looking at the stars. Loved just sitting and having that view. Highly recommend.

My family and I came up to ski at Purgatory for Spring break and stayed at the Mountain resort. The day before we were set to drive home the radiator on my truck cracked and we found ourselves needing a place to stay while the shop got us sorted out. I found this listing and ended up falling in love with the property. It is a beautiful home with stunning views from the wrap around deck and the interior is amazing as well. It's never fun to have to deal with car trouble on a trip, but this property made all the tress fade away as we enjoyed a longer than planned Spring break. I'd come back again just to relax in the mountains...

We absolutely loved the house and the location even more. Situated around the half way point to the ski hill and to downtown Durango. Home was stylishly decorated. Views were beautiful sitting in the hot tub in the morning for coffee and wine at the end of the day. Bed was comfortable and management was very responsive. We will be back to this gorgeous place.

House was clean, some dead and dying flies and other small crawlers. Nothing that would raise alarms for our family, and you’re in the country, we expected some insects. We found multiple mice traps located around the interior of the property, again not an issue for us, and appreciate the attempt at the resolving potential indoor rodents. PS we didn’t see a single one, nor did the traps catch any. The carpet has a few minor stains, nothing significant, and overall cleanliness was good.

Kitchen was well stocked with utensils, cooking pots pans, glasses and such.
Appliances were top notch.

Place needs, better pillows, many are flat, but maybe a preference thing for me.
Better instructions for living room television, 6 remotes, no instructions, I have kids and they easily figured it out, may not be so easy for some.

No fire place instructions / direction. Again figured it out and thoroughly enjoyed the gas / log fireplace, wish we had more wood.

Couch in living room was a bit uncomfortable for us, we spend a decent amount of time in evening as a family watching TV, and couch left much to be desired. It’s wasn’t bad, but for a family of 6, the area doesn’t invite family time in the area.

The deck view was stunning, but it’s almost time to have it redone, some rotting deck boards, and paint needs refinishing. Although barefoot on deck worked for me, and baby was able to crawl around, it did cause a few small cuts. Again, nothing bad, just needs a little TLC.
Wel had one issue with the hot water, and was resolved immediately

The view was fantastic, the kitchen was well stocked with the exception of a flyswatter, which we badly needed for flies since we arrived with the front door wide open, the lighting in the dining room was very dim so difficult when playing games, the beds were very comfortable, the toilet in the master was the lowest I'd ever seen, the hot tub was clean, but unfortunately, my husband had to clean the filthy barbecue grill before we could grill burgers, parking was tricky for multiple cars especially when guests had to leave in the dark, and the hanging deer in the kids room was much larger than it appeared in the photos, and in my opinion, not really appropriate for a young kids room. Overall our stay was great and I would definitely recommend this house! We could not get enough of that view.
