My husband and I greatly enjoyed our stay here. The ocean views and sunsets from the balcony were stunning. The attention to detail in this condo with so many nice touches really enhanced our stay. Excellent hosts with great communication! We look forward to returning in the future.

From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. Conrad and Denise provided written instructions for us, which were very useful. Their suggestions covered every question we had,from who to contact with questions about the condo and property, to recommending excursions, and shopping. Their condo looks exactly the as posted on VRBO, and was clean and comfortable. We did not want to leave! Our next trip to Kailua-Kona, to visit family we hope this condo is available.

My husband and I had a wonderful time staying in Kona Reef condos this past week. The weather was beautiful, the views from the room spectacular and the unit itself was comfortable and cozy. It was so easy to walk from the unit into town for dinner and shopping. The pool was clean and while busy, there was always seating available. The condo was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. We could keep the doors/windows open to hear the ocean and take in the breezes during the day. Road noise was minimal as the bedroom backs up toward the street side. Bed was super comfortable but bring an eye mask if you are sensitive to light because the condo complex keeps the outside lights on all night and it gets a little bright in the bedroom. We didn’t use the beach next to the condo because we preferred the white sand beaches on Kauna’oa Bay - about 50 minutes north of here. Highly recommend taking a ride up this way. Also, don’t miss the Volcanic National park. We were lucky enough to be there when Kilauea erupted! Stop and spend some time at Punalu’u Black sand beach if you head south. Great trip overall and pleased to use the condo as our home away from home. Will definitely stay here again in our next trip to the big island!

Great view and great location

Get the best of both world with a spectacular ocean view as well as people watch over the pool (I also like to scope out the pool before going down so this was perfect). It’s the little things that matter and it’s obvious that the owners of this condo also use it for their pleasure as well. I had everything I needed for my stay and it was very clean and comfortable. Definitely will stay here again is available.

We enjoyed our time in Kona! The condo is as described and had everything you could need. The best part was the location. We walked to town everyday and enjoyed restaurants, shopping and sunsets.

Well-appointed condo was exactly as advertised, with view of pool, ocean, and surfers from the lanai. Wi-Fi worked, check-in and check-out were easy. Property very well maintained, lots of workers daily. Very convenient, easy walk to downtown for meals, though kitchen was well-equipped. Pre-visit information provided by owner was extensive and helpful. He was very responsive to questions and concerns. Altogether, a great place to stay and take advantage of the remarkable diversity of the Big Island!

Place was very clean with a nice pool and hot tub, also close beach access.

Fantastic lanai ocean view- this condo is well kitted out the ac on both lounge & bedroom are a must in July . Beautiful sunsets and conch blowing every night . Easy to walk to town . Appreciated the extra pantry items , but it needed an electric kettle . Check in was super easy .wish we had stay longer

This is an excellent choice for a Kona stay. The listing has everything you need. Easy parking, location on the ocean side of the road, view of the sea, nice pool, hot tub, and barbecue, comfortable bed, kitchen that can actually be used and easy communication with the host. One great thing is how easy it is to walk into the town. There is literally no good parking in Kailua-Kona unless you are willing to pay a ton. So being able to walk in was wonderful. I would highly recommend this condo if you are looking in this price range.

This was the second year in a row that we've stayed in this condo. We love the location near shopping, restaurants and of course the view. Great spot to also venture out to any part of the island. Volcano National Park is a must see with lava flowing in the crater once again.

We enjoyed our stay at this ocean front condo. It was clean, beautiful and convenient. There is some small issue after checkout. But the PM managed to solve it. Would recommend this condo.

Condo had everything we needed. Great views from the lanai, very comfortable lanai furniture, beautiful sunsets each night. Loved being able to walk to so many restaurants. The air conditioning worked well but most of the time we were comfortable using just the ceiling fans, using just the bedroom fan at night and sleeping comfortably. Bed and pillows comfy as well. We would definitely recommend this condo to others.

Location was great for walking to downtown restaurants. Past reviews mentioned not having enough air conditioning but they must have put a new unit into the bedroom because it was great throughout the house. Nice pool and beautiful sunsets.

We had a great stay. The condo is compact, but was perfect for our stay, and all the essentials were there. The lanai overlooks the ocean, and is a beautiful view. Parking very easy and close, with an elevator to help with heavy bags. Thanks to the owners for providing great details and tips on where to park and how to use, plus tips on dining. Speaking of dining, the condo is less than a half mile easy/flat walk from ten or more great restaurants, with really good menus, many focused on local cuisine. We also enjoyed a very good farmer's market, a half mile easy walk away. We rented a car and were 15 minutes drive to both great cocoa and coffee plantations, which we toured. But the real treat was experiencing the local Kona culture in the village, all less than a mile away.

Central location, near downtown Kona shopping and restaurants.

We had an awesome stay at this great property and are already looking for an opportunity to return. The sunsets from the lanai were beautiful. The sunset lined up directly with the condo during our stay in January. We also enjoyed being serenaded by the sunset group playing their conchas. The condo is walking distance to many shops and restaurants, farmers market and the pier. Safeway, Target and Wal-Mart are less than a mile away and it's only a couple more miles to a Costco. Our favorite place for breakfast/lunch was Humpys but the Lava Java always had a line so it must be pretty good too. A must do is the Mauna Kea Sunset and Starlight tour that leaves from the local Target. Maybe you'll get lucky and have Shawn as your tour guide. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, silverware, coffe maker, etc. It was also nice being able to wash clothes and towels in the unit. Overall, everything was as advertised.

Condo is older but has everything you need to make meals and is in a great location to walk to restaurants, coffee, massages. Sandy beaches are a drive, as the beaches located near the condo are difficult to get in the water due to the lava rock. We had a great time sitting on the lanai in the evenings and watching the sunset and the local community members play their conches to represent another day gone. We had a wonderful time here.

This was our first time to the big island and we weren't sure exactly where to stay on the Kona side of the island. This condo is a good location by shops and restaurants without being totally in the middle of things. We were excited to have a small beach next to the condo however we had several locals come up to us asking for money so we chose not to hang out there. It didn't feel unsafe, just unenjoyable. The condo itself was good overall, we loved the lanai and beautiful furniture. The kitchen was decked out and had several basic spices, condiments, etc. The condo had a stock of toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, etc. which was nice. There was an air conditioner in the living room and it worked well in there, but didn't make its way to the bedroom well - we were pretty warm at bed time. We had an issue with the washer and dryer, but the owner was informed and he said he would take care of it promptly. Otherwise, a great condo with a nice view.

My friend and I had a great time on our vacation. The process with checking in and out was easy. Conrad was helpful in answering all my questions and gave us tips on what to do on the island. The area was quiet and close to downtown Kona.

This condo provides an excellent location to explore Kailua/Kona! The ocean view, lanai, recliners on the grass at the ocean edge and pool were exactly what I was seeking for my vacation! The bbq area and parking were added benefits! I’d walk down to the Royal Kona Resort most mornings to order breakfast at the open air Don’s Mai Tai Bar, rented snorkel gear at Snorkel Bob’s. The condo kitchen was well stocked, new stacked washer & dryer in the unit, lovely tiled shower in the bathroom and air conditioning in the living room. Conrad provided excellent and prompt information throughout my stay!

A great place to stay while in Kona. Easy 5 minute walk to Kona Village. Very comfortable condo with all the amenities you could possibly need. Wonderful view of the ocean and pool area.

Conrad and Denise's condo is a wonderful space to stay in your trip to Kona. It is right up the street from all the local restaurants and shops, the beach is literally right behind the complex, and the lanai views are beautiful. The space had everything we needed and more, I would highly recommend this condo for a lovely Kona trip.

We stayed here for 1 week after our last leg of a 5 month trip through Hawaii. It was a great end to our stay on the Big Island. Check-in was simple (Conrad and Denise contact me via email with all the details we needed to get in). They informed me of a broken burner on the stove, which was fine for us (it had 3 other stovetops working). Before we left, they texted me saying that it was getting repaired the day we were checking out. Overall, they were very responsive, helpful and personable! The unit was very comfortable. The furniture and appliances are a bit dated and worn, but it didn't bother us. It was a little tricky getting the pullout air mattress to inflate, but we got it to work (it was mostly user error) and the kids loved it! Nice, large TV in the living room. Pantry was well stocked and the beds were comfortable. They had a lot of beach chairs, snorkel gear, coolers, boogie boards, and sand toys available for us to use. They have air conditioning in the living room, but honestly we didn't really need it. The ocean breeze from the lanai, the open windows in the bedroom, and the ceiling fans all allowed for plenty of air to circulate and keep us cool in the day and evenings. One of the biggest attractions of this unit for us is the gorgeous view. We knew we wanted to end our stay with ocean views, and this did not disappoint. You can't beat watching the crash of the waves as you're starting the day off or watching the sunset as you wind down the evening. It's a perfect view, overlooking the pool and ocean. Just walk down to the pool and exit the complex, and you'll be greeted with a beautiful, grassy area to take in the ocean breeze. Take a few steps south and you're at Honl's Beach. Overall, a great stay! Thanks!

We have stayed at this complex several times before and we love it. This condo we rented was great! The bed and the pull out couch were both comfy and the house had all the amenities needed. Thanks for a great stay!
