Breakfast??? Location was good

Beds could have been more comfortable and there was no outside lighting at night

Location is far from downtown BUT quiet, near bus stop and beach, we found it convenient.

The driveways need to be paved, extremely bumpy.

I didn’t like parking needs better parking spot

The location is great. There’s a restaurant and coffee shop in walking distance. The beach is across the street and very easy access to public transportation.

Host rushed through the check in process, literally asked If I can hurry because she has somewhere else to be then arrived 40 mins early to rush and check me out. My biggest concern though was that as a solo female guest I did not feel safe for several reasons. There is hallway that leads from the door of the room to two other doors. One of which was not able to be secured from my side. I shared my concerns with the hosts and they assured me that it couldn’t be opened from the other side and that not even they had the key to unlock it. They did come by a day later to try to secure it from the other side but being able to lock it from my side would’ve given me a greater piece of mind. Secondly the lock on the windows were unable to slide across completely. I would like to note that the surroundings of the property could be better kept. I kept my window shade closed from a view of what could easily be a beautiful courtyard but was an eyesore with junk materials, old appliances and one day there was also a male construction worke The outdoor furniture around the pool and the pool all looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while as there were stains on the cushions. The closet area of the rental (hallway) was also not cleaned. There was a dirty mop and bucket as well as a dusty safe and you can tell the floor hadn’t been swept either. My suggestion to the host would be to make that entire area inaccessible as its more creepy than useful anyway. There is currently renovations on the property. I feel this should have been mentioned so that guests like me aren’t surprised when we arrive. Again, there was a junk truck in the parking area with old material and garbage not to mention construction woke me up one morning while I was there- again with no notice whatsoever. The property is in a beautiful location and has lots of potential and many units. This particular unit in my opinion should not be available to rent until those issues are fixed.
