We really enjoyed our stay at calming tides. The condo was very clean, comfortable, and had an incredible view of the ocean. It was wonderful that there were plenty of beach towels and the beds were very comfortable. The condo is beautifully decorated. The only bummer is that the pool is under renovation. Thank you to our kind host and we look forward to coming back someday soon.

This property was just as advertised. The Communication was easy and instructions were clear. Beautifully decorated. Well appointed in all areas. Everything you need. Beds were comfortable. We would recommend this unit to anyone look for a larger unit directly on the beach.

Despite the weather the condo was absolutely beautiful. Felt like home but also so elegant. Very spacious, had everything we could possibly need. Owner was easy to reach with any questions we had. Loved it welcoming gifts, such a great surprise. We will definitely stay here again!

We loved our stay at Calming Tides. The property was beautifully decorated, clean, well-stocked and had a wonderful view. The communication leading up to our trip was very helpful. Parking in the lot or garage was easy to find and use. This has been one of our favorite VRBO properties ever and we look forward to returning.

We cannot say enough about this wonderful property. We have rented many houses/ condos over the years in many different locations , but this property is at the top of our list. The condo was everything we wanted and much more than we expected. This is 5 star all the way. It is spacious, beautifully decorated, stocked with all necessities and to top it all ….the view is breathtaking. Jason was amazing and we cannot say enough good things about our stay.We would love to come back. Thank you Jason for being a kind and considerate host !

Everything was easy. Jason made sure we had all the information that we needed. The condo is spacious and has everything you can think of. Extremely clean! Outside deck has great views and the beach wasn't overly busy. Great Vacation and we will be booking again.

We have been coming to Daytona Beach for many many years and Calming Tides is our absolute favorite place to stay! We have been there two years in a row and fully plan on coming back to Calming Tides next summer as well! The condo is beautiful and has everything you need. The view from the balcony is perfection and my favorite place to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee and listen to the waves crash. Jason is such an awesome host and is extremely communicative we well. Another fun trip in the books and can’t wait for next years! Highly recommend this condo!

Very large condo with everything needed at the beach. My college aged kids to littles had a great time! The views are unbeatable. Beautiful!

What an amazing week we had with our friends in this fabulous condo. It was everything we hoped for and more. We spent time on the corner balcony watching the sunrise and sunsets, and even saw a dolphin. Everything we needed was there and it was top notch. We tried the suggested area restaurants, and they were amazing. Jason was so easy to work with and always quick to answer questions. Calming Tides is the perfect escape. We cannot wait to go back again.

My family’s second time in as many years staying at Jason’s condo. The location and distance to great restaurants is fabulous as well as to parks. Family oriented beach with excellent views from the balcony made for many memorable nights during the storms at night. They are still rebuilding due to the hurricane they had, but very minor inconveniences. The beach wall is being restored as is the pool, but I was on the beach everyday, so not a problem. Crabby Joes is still being worked on too, so that was maybe the greatest disappointment, but there are so many other close and great restaurants you’ll survive without them until they are back up and running. Jason is of course the greatest host I have ever encountered, and he made sure that my Father’s Day visit was the best I ever had. I have said before, and will say again, Jason is like family and that’s why I returned to this spot for my vacation.

I had an excellent experience with the property manager and the cleanliness was exceptional! Decorated well, and everything we needed for us there! We will definitely vacation here again! Easy access to the beach and all amenities for our beach time were available to use as well! I can’t say enough good about this property and it’s management team!

Great location, amazing view, beautiful condo!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The unit provided plenty of space and we especially appreciated the quality and comfort of all the beds, linens, towels, etc. The location was perfect for our family and the views from the balcony did not disappoint. We would not hesitate to book this property again.

We just completed our stay and thrilled to say that we had an amazing time. The condo is everything (if not more) than the pictures and description online lead you to expect. It was great to see that everything you might need for a beach vacation was present. Things like beach chairs, a beach wagon, yeti insulated cups, beach toys (though our group was above the age range usually interested in toys), boogie boards, etc. The condo is beautifully furnished and all the furniture was extremely comfortable. Then to top it off, Jason is an amazing host. Great at communicating with us before and during our stay. We highly recommend considering his condo for your next vacation.

Plans for our four night excursion began when I was feeling stressed from work one night and started perusing beach condos on VRBO. The trip included my grown son and four family friends. Vacation day began with Jason texting me in the morning to let me know that the condo was ready and that we could get in as soon as we arrived. (Jason was the perfect host with a great sense of humor.) From the moment we opened the front door of Calming Tides and stepped inside, I felt so happy and every bit of stress evaporated. The condo was quite large and beautifully appointed and we all enjoyed the feeling of complete luxury. The beds were all incredibly comfortable and each was covered with Boll & Branch organic cotton bedding, beautiful duvets and piles of comfy pillows. There were stacks of fluffy white towels for the showers and cute striped oversize beach towels, bathrobes and even a warm hoodie for our guest who forgot how chilly the wind could be on the beach at night. All of our plans to go anywhere else were scrapped because we didn’t want to leave our lovely pied-a-terre. Instead, we ordered groceries via Instacart and cooked most of our meals in the very well equipped kitchen. The balcony porch, where we spent most of our time, was large and attractively furnished. It was the perfect place to enjoy coffee and watch the sun rise. It wrapped around the corner so that you could watch the sunset over the river in the evening. My favorite part of Spring Break 2023 in South Daytona Shores was the view that we had all the way up the coast. There were cars as far as you could see every day. But at night the Slingshot ride would become a giant red glowing V and you could see all the way to the boardwalk and bandshell where the lights in Daytona Beach were peaking through the mist. It was a truly iconic view and the best I’ve ever experienced in Daytona. Calming Tides is such a treasure and I very much look forward to visiting again.

My family & I have rented many properties through VRBO but this was hands down the best by far. Truly everything about it was perfect. It is rare to travel & be just as comfortable/if not more comfortable than you feel in your own home. The bed & bedding were worth the hype - comfortable beyond belief! Giant TVs but the view from the spacious balcony was even more impressive. The showers were great, the grill was easy to use - Jason truly thought of every aspect that you may need from games, yeti tumblrs, coozies, speakers, sweatshirts, beach supplies, etc. All of those minor items you realized you forgot - no worries - they were provided! Every amenity you could think of was covered and more. You could tell that the condo was actually cleaned thoroughly & not just swept over to appear clean at first site. It felt comfortable being there. His communication skills were greatly appreciated. Even after the hurricane, Jason went above & beyond to make sure we were informed & had everything we needed. We will 100% be repeat renters. Thanks for helping make such a great vacation!

Our stay at Calming Tides could not have been better! The condo is decorated beautifully and is super comfy with quality bedding, linens and so much more. The view is absolutely gorgeous! We loved our time on the balcony watching dolphins, boats, action on the beach, amazing sunrises and sunsets and more. Jason has thought of every little detail and amenity. We hope to visit again soon!

The condo is on the ocean with great views. The owner is very accessible and communicative. I don’t know if Jason has a background in hospitality but it sure feels like it. The space is very nicely appointed and has everything you need.. We had a great time-I would highly recommend!

Condo it’s self is beautiful and this view ca not be beat !! Every comfort of home plus has been provided and the decor is stunning. Just wish the weather had been better and wasn’t aware til after booking that pool and spa would be closed all year still / even beaches are “technically” closed but we could get access. Did learn that this is NOT the place to take seniors for the ultimate spring break get away / but def will want to return for summer breaks. Daytona was so friendly.- last days of bike week was hopping and great restaurants. Well worth the money and the trip.

Clean, quiet, beautiful.

Calming Tides is a top notch condo! The amenities provided were far above our expectations. The beds, pillows, sheets and blankets were amazing- so comfortable and soft! Jason was incredibly helpful with any questions we had and very friendly! The pool and hot tub were closed as well as the beach access- but we were able to walk less than 5 minutes to the beach or you can drive just 2 minutes to the drive on beach access. Overall the condo is fabulous and we can not wait to come back!! Oh and the views from the balcony are stunning! We saw a whale, multiple dolphins, a stingray and a few small sharks while we were there!! Amazing!

It was everything described and the the host was the best I have seen.

This is truly the best rental I’ve ever stayed in. It’s beautifully decorated and super clean. It’s a corner unit, so the entire living/dining area has gorgeous ocean views. If you step out the front door, you can watch the sunset over the river. The owners have thought of everything you could need or want: comfortable beds, endless bath and beach towels, tons of kitchen equipment, even robes and hoodies to use during your stay. There were even beach chairs, toys, and a wagon to hold everything for the beach! We did have issues with the lock, and Jason was very quick to respond. This was our second visit, and we’re definitely hoping to return!

In Daytona for a hoops tourney over the holidays and had occasion to stay at this beautiful condo. Tastefully appointed with everything perfectly thought out and spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean. Recent storms have hit the beach pretty hard and Jason reached out well before our stay to let us know what might be different. He was exceedingly generous with his customer service and recommendations and allowed our trip to be completely without worry. I highly recommended Calming Tides and look forward to another stay very soon!

Couldn’t have been better or easier .

Location is great. Pool was wonderful. Unit was very clean and well furnished. The host put a lot of effort into the condo including the little things like coffee, robes, games, and a lot of beach towels! Check in is easy, too. Overall a great stay.

Such a wonderful stay!! We loved having the kitchen area for breakfast and leisurely starts to our days on the balcony. Plenty of comfortable space- every detail was thought of to make our stay great!!!

Besides hurricane Ian interrupting our vacation. We had a great time in Dayton Beach and really enjoyed Calming Tides. A view from almost every room, especially beautiful views from the balcony . The condo was fully stocked: kitchen had everything we needed as well as the bathrooms. Jason was an excellent host. Really appreciated all the help during the hurricane. Would definitely recommend Calming Tides!!

The entire property is very well maintained. But the unit that we lived in was amazing. Very spacious and easily accommodated of us and visitors. We were also working and had enough space to handle zoom and work calls. The view was worth the price. Well decorated like a model home yet comfortable. Excellent bedding for incredible sleep. The thoughtfulness of a washer and dryer in the unit as well as all the extras that just made our stay memorable. Wonderful! I do not easily give 5 star ratings but you definitely earned it. Thank you and we will be back.

Absolutely beautiful condo, stocked with things we needed. Beds were heavenly comfortable. I’ve stayed in Daytona Beach since I was a child, and this was , by far, the nicest place I’ve ever rented.
