Liked the location, had indifferent nights sleep but not fault of bunkhouse. Would stay again if in the area

Trouble with these is selfish idiots on phones talking in foreign at 3am forgetting they are sharing. Again no fault of Bunkhouse

This weekend we played a volleyball tournament in Cardiff, all we needed was a shower, meal and bed. When we arrived and finally found the stuff, we go to our designated room and found out that there's only 3 beds ready for us (out of 6). I go back downstairs to see a receptionist, in the meantime two ladies come into our room (it should be a gent's room only when i made the booking). When I bring receptionist to a room she said that she will make beds for us, but she had no clue who's sleeping in each bed. We asked if she had another room. Answer was no, but don't worry I will make beds for you, just give me 2 minutes ( it was over 20 minutes after she came to the room). After another 20 minutes none of the beds have been done, we decided to leave and drive back home. Only for a few hours sleep and drive back to Cardiff again early morning. This lady called the manager who told us that we won't get a refund 😡. I clearly want my money back plus transport cost.

Convenient for nice quick overnight stay in Cardiff. Nice big open rooms with lovely enough facilities.

It is right on the main road, so expect a bit of noise.

Very good location, friendly staff. The bed was comfortable with plugs next to you.

The pillows very uncomfortable, the shower was cold to start, and turned off every 10 seconds. I didnt like the set up of the bathroom as there was no where to get dressed. Also it was very noisy inside and flashing lights all night as it was above a nightclub.

the property is near the city, great location, as a backpackers, it is so clean and well-organised, a cleaner was there everyday, exactly 11:00AM every morning or even earlier like 10:00AM to remind us about check-out so that we won’t be late in our check-outs as we have a £10 key deposit and can be given back during check-put which is great, and she was so great to advice tourists about good tourist places to visit as well as so friendly, and understanding.

all is great, you can even see the city outside and as well as pubs. expect to have pub noises but overall, I really don’t mind because I’m a heavy sleeper.

I had my own breakfast that I made them myself as the accomodation don't have a kitchen or serve breakfast. the comfort of the bed is fine.

The location of the plug sockets as they are not the same next to each bunk beds as someone else used the plug sockets next to mine, enroaching my space.

Perfect location, right in the city center, the staff are super friendly!

It's a great place if you want to party because you are in the center of a lot bars and clubs. The staff are great, friendly and knowledgeable about the area.

If you want to get a good night's sleep this is not the place, the pubs and clubs keep going until 2 or 3 am and there were 2 karaoke singers, one either side going until 2 am.

The location was great, right on the city centre.

The bunk beds were not very comfortable, you can't sit on the bottom bunk, there's no space for that. All the outlets are close to the ground so if you get a top bunk it will be hard to use your phone in bed. All that I could forgive, if it wasn't for the dirtyness. The bathrooms were very dirty, I stayed there for 5 days and I couldn't tell if they were cleaned at all.

It’s in a great location

The hostel had a funky smell, but the room was way worse. It smelled like poop and the windows could not be opened. Clearly they’re aware of this as there were air fresheners all over but they didn’t help at all.

Had a very friendly welcome at reception. The woman was very chatty and managed to get us checked in earlier as our room was ready. The rooms are spacious and bunks pretty standard. It was an all female room too which was ideal. Great value for money considering the location, right on the main street and very handy for our plans to watch the women's rugby. It was everything we needed for 1 night and the girls in our room were very friendly too.

Only thing was that there are a couple of 3 tier bunks and on the top bunk there is no plug on the wall to charge your phone, luckily I didn't need it anyway but worth bringing an extension/portable charger or claim a bed early near the plugs if needed.
