This was a great stay for our visit from far away. A clean, comfortable, well equipped house (and not too hard to find in the dark from the airport). A great location for adventures in any direction. Beautiful view.

We as a group fell in love with the view. The house was cozy and inviting. We as a team tried to secure the outside furniture, but the hurricane took down 2 50' spruce trees and one fell on the shed with the lawn equipment. We were out power during the night. Fortunately we pack flashlights. The house was missing the code for wi-fi and the tv was upstairs and none downstairs. The washer and dryer was a plus but the dryer needs to be replace. It is so noisy. Thank you for sharing your home to our group of seniors.

Older property on the sea. Garden not maintained. Upon entry, it smells of an older property. The bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs were clean. The ground floor bedroom, well, between spiders webs, flies and dust, not very pleasant. The dishes and drawers were very dirty. The dishwasher doesn’t work well, the floor was full of dust, and the vacuum cleaner hasn’t seen a clean in few months… once we cleaned what we needed we were fine. I’m terms of kitchen hygiene, very poor. I connected with owner who said he would pass on comments to cleaner. Mosquitoes nets are partly damaged… Not many dishes either when you advertise a property for 10. Certainly not 10 plates available, or knives and folks either. Shame as it could be a nice spot. I was very surprised at some previous reviews. Disappointing.

For the price, I really have no complaints. It’s a cute place. Waking up to the sound of waves and the beautiful view was fantastic! It is very close to the road, so there is a little road noise. The house is older so a few bugs do seem to make their way in, but that is to be expected. They have plenty of fans if you need some air movement, since there is no air conditioning. We were comfortable though with the windows open for night. I would stay here again. We enjoyed our time here.

This is an Excellent Location...less than 50 min...to everything important in that area...1. Peggys Cove. 2. Airport 3. Luneburg 4 Mahone Bay 5 Halifax/Dartmouth Waterfront 5. Queensland Beach!

Everything was fine except: 1) Umbrella needed for the deck - it faces east. 2) More furniture needed for living room - a couple of coffee tables and floor lamps and perhaps a rug. 3) The dishwasher leaks to floor; we were unable to use it! Cheers, Peter M.

Great location right on the ocean and central to many beautiful beaches

Our 2nd time here and another great stay. Accommodations were great for 4 adults & 4 kids. Roomy, clean and the bathroom /shower facilities are very good. Beds are comfy as well. It is a pretty quiet area but close to the Bayswater beach. Lots of firewood available for campfires & water views are beautiful. Only complaint would be that a couple of bedroom windows don’t have screens. Otherwise another great stay.

The lodge was well laid out eith sufficient room. Large kitchen allowing 4 people easy use. Thr kitchen was well supplied with utensils. Large refrigerator stove,We were comfortable eith bedrooms. 3 bathrooms allowed privacy and a downstairs bathroom and bedroom was CB perfect for our disabled friend. We enjoyed the bslcon facing the ocean The view was spectacular. The small towns were all convenient eith shopping snd dining areas. Tge beaches handy as well Unfortunately we were not provided eith a contact number that would have provided security. We made numerous attempts to access A good handy man could repair the screens We were plagued by flying ants that were in the hundreds. We used Raid that is toxic. We wore a mask but it is harmful We would have appreciated instructions on the use of TV Our overall experience was greatly appreciated Thank you

Charming inviting home with a huge kitchen three people can be preparing in and won't get in each other's way. Very comfortable beds and two great sitting areas, one on each floor. Great to have the2.5 washrooms. Loved sitting out the front deck overlooking the water in comfortable cushion set. Be nice to have a couple fold up small stands for food/drinks then could use them on side deck and bring them in to use for coffee table . All went well and we were greeted with flowers,fruit and wine. Very touching. I would love to return in the fall. Beach only 15 min away.

We enjoyed staying so close to the ocean. Nice quiet area as well.

The house is a lovely older home that has been very well renovated. Very quiet location and lovely ocean view. Plenty of room for the five adults that went.

The house was as advertised and with a couple of issues which we talked directly to the owner The bottles of wine was a very nice touch

We used this location as a home base to visit both Lunenberg and Halifax. It was centrally located for both ( 45 min to 1 hour). Good view of the bay/ ocean but there is not a lot to do nearby. Also plan ahead to get groceries as there is only a small grocery store at the top of the bay. The owner was very responsive to our questions.

Our stay was very enjoyable and the view was breathtaking. The owner was readily available to answer any questions. We were welcomed with fruit, wine and beautiful flowers on the kitchen table. The location was ideal for visiting Peggy’s Cove, Mahones Bay and Ludenberg. There were some screens that need to be replaced and a firestick or Roku would have been great for evenings. There was no way to mirror our devices with the tv. Also, a towel bar in the master bathroom would have been helpful. All in all great time!

The property is quiet and looks out onto the water. A great homebase to explore the south shore.

What amazing views and location. We were sorry to leave. We enjoyed the area as well as a family of river otters along the shore and the local bald eagle pair. Just a lovely place to stay,

Beautiful cottage with plenty of room for our family. The view was lovely and it was tucked away enough that we still felt as though we were in NS without any traffic, or noise around us. The view was beautiful and the setting was very peaceful. Not ideal for anyone with mobility issues due to the hills around, but the home had everything we needed to enjoy our short stay in NS.

We had a great stay here. We were 5 adults with 3 children under 7. We were all very comfortable. The property was exactly as advertised. We would definitely rent again. Some helpful hints to improve our stay would be : more indoor & outdoor games for kids. Maybe badminton net or trampoline outdoors. Games, puzzles & books for kids for the indoors. Kitchen needs a few plastic bowls & cups for kids. BBQ tools would be helpful as well.

My fiancé and both of our parents stayed at this property for 3 nights. We had an amazing time! We were very impressed with the view, the house is right on the water (no beach, but beaches very close). Every bedroom has an ocean view! We we’re very pleased with how big the house is as well as the thoughtful touches of the hosts. We used the fire pit and barbecue with no issues. Overall, we had a very relaxing stay and would definitely return to this property!

We had a great stay at the Lodge. There was plenty of room for our family of five adults and two children. It’s in a great location with beautiful waterfront views, a nice outdoor fire pit and very nice kitchen. The host is very easy to contact and always responded quickly to any questions we had. The only issues we had were five or six wasps in the entryway when we arrived and several flies in the living room window everyday. Also, the mattress in the master bedroom was very soft and had a dent in the middle of it. It might be time to change it. Considering that the cottage can accommodate 10 people, I think it would be a good idea to have a bigger dining room table, or one with an extension. Overall, it was a great place and I would recommend it to anyone.

This place is centrally located in either direction. We saw Lunenburg, Mahone Bay and Hubbards. We did spend a day at Queensland Beach so we could have used some beach towels. Other than that the place has everything you need

Our group of 6 had a wonderful time in this quaint house by the sea! The beds and bedding were amazing and that along with the fresh sea air, gave us all much needed restful sleeps! We definitely enjoyed our stay!

Our adult children, their spouses and our grandchildren shared this beautiful home for a week this winter. It was modern, clean, with a well appointed kitchen. The layout of the main floor was perfect with a contained entry/ mudroom a large living room space with a laundry room half bath, sit down eating area and large kitchen. The little ones had lots of room for indoor play on the main level and a bonus space on the second level adjacent to the spacious bedrooms. It was lovely to have an area in the main floor where everyone could gather together...and entertain a few sets of grandparents! The cozy woodstove was perfect for the evenings. The view of St Margarets Bay was spectacular and in warmer weather the outdoor space and furniture would be lovely to enjoy a coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. There was ample parking and just the right amount of privacy. The property is less than a 10 minute drive to the Hubbards shopping area, where there are a few restaurants, drug store, grocery store, NSLC and gas station. There are at least 10 beaches in the area to go for walks and enjoy a bit of fresh air. Overall, it was perfect for our needs and we look forward to making a return visit.
