Location ok, decent living area, shower was ok. Kitchen facilities ok. Near to supermarket. Parking space specific for the property was good and just outside the door.

Unfortunately host hadn't noted that we had booked and so wasn't prepared for our call on the day to pick the keys up but when we did call and they had checked their email the property was actually ready and easy to get keys for - seemed like a genuine oversight. One night there was very very loud music from another flat until 2am. Again not technically the host's fault or problem. A few hairs on the bed sheets on pulling back the covers.

It was in a convenient location to where we needed to go for the weekend, and the flat had all the amenities we required for a short stay. Few mins walk to Asda which was also ideal. The owner responded to my queries, and there was an allocated parking space which I could see from the bedroom window to keep an eye on the car. Easy to find.

The flat had a weird smell when we first entered so had to open all the windows to air it out, the building and area did not look particularly safe - the building also looked a bit run down and there was a funky smell/unclean in the entrance/stairs. There was even a smell coming from the cupboards and fridge in the kitchen when opening them. The flat looks similar to the pictures but there is a lot of wear and tear so I imagine those pictures are from when it was initially refurbed, and it didn't feel or look clean. The second night, we went to go to sleep and found the room infested with small flies (most likely a result of having to keep the windows open) so we had to resort to sleeping on the living room floor. There was also only one towel provided, although there were two of us staying. The flat has a lot of potential, but it doesn't feel like a lot of love or care has gone into the upkeep of it. Very overpriced for what we got but was also one of the cheaper options, hence why we booked as we only needed a place to rest/sleep in the evening after a long day. Would not stay again, but may suit someone who does not mind these things as otherwise the flat had all the basics you need for a short weekend.
