The view of the bay from the living room and decks was fantastic. The home was immaculate and well provisioned and the host was very quick to respond to questions. Wish we had booked a longer stay.

My husband and I stayed at the Vik for 9 days during the month of August 2024. It is a lovely property and the view of the water is breathtaking. It is in an excellent location, with easy access to Peggy's Cove, Halifax and Lunenburg. We spent many hours -- in between sightseeing outings -- sitting on the porch/deck taking in the beautiful scenery. Every day a harbor seal came to visit us. The house is very modern and has all the amenities. The kitchen is well-stocked and the beds are quite comfortable. I was most impressed with the owner of the property. She was quite responsive to all our requests both before and during our stay. She was extremely helpful and did everything she could to make our stay enjoyable. The one drawback for us at the property were the stairs, to the lower level family room where the only television in the house is located. The stairs are very steep and curved, making it difficult for us to gain access to that area. My husband and I are both in our 70's, with some mobility issues. As a result, we did not make use of the lower living room area at all. I am sure a younger couple and/or family would not have this issue. One other issue for us was the dock. It is not in front of the property but around the corner and a bit of a distance from the house. The dock had a board missing, so we did not feel comfortable using it. But as for the beautiful hot tub, it was a wonderful place to relax and enjoy our surroundings.

We had a relaxing stay at the Vik cottage. It’s in a very quiet area. The cottage has been nicely renovated and it was very clean. We loved the hot tub and fire pit. It’s also right on the water but there’s a fair amount of seaweed if you want to swim. The cottage is right on the main road but we didn’t find there was too much traffic noise. We had no issues but the owner was very responsive and reached out to check in. The only downside was that if you’re looking for places to eat or stores to pick up essentials, it’s a bit of a drive. But that is what makes it quiet. Overall, a great place to stay.

We loved our trip to Nova Scotia. The place was perfect for our family. It had all the amenities. It was very clean and the view was amazing! We loved having use of the kayaks and firepit and the great outdoor deck and space. I would highly recommend this home.

We had a wonderful week at the Vik Cottage celebrating our parents 60th anniversary. Their home was incredibly welcoming, comfortable and clean. It was centrally located to all the sites we wanted to enjoy. Lunenberg, Peggy’s Cove and Halifax. After a long day of site seeing it was great to come back to the cottage and relax in the hot tub. The beds were very comfortable and we all slept extremely well. We will definitely stay here again when we are back in the Halifax area. Thank you Thanh

Well manicured grounds with ample parking. Lovely interior decorations. Spotless throughout. Every kitchen tool we needed was already available. Scenic water views from the back of the house. Quiet location.
