Had a lovely stay , very good check in, however the fire alarms were going off at 12 ish for about 1hour at intervals nothing wrong but a system error, but no sorry or explanation from staff

Stay for 2 nights in Marriott Cardiff . Room is ok , clean and most important is the location which is close to shops and bar .

Stayed 1 night as we were going to a concert in the Utilitia which, was only a 5 min walk away. Can’t fault the hotel it was perfect - Browns bar and restaurant attached was an added bonus. Breakfast excellent, staff helpful and relaxed. Car parking also perfect.

Firstly, the reception staff and the concierge Richard were wonderful. The Browns bar and restaurant were great.
However, the rooms are very old and tired. Damaged floor tiles tiles on the walls that have been filled from olspd shower curtains, the shower was so low not one of us could stand under the shower, the towel rail is the sam as the one my grandmother had in the 70’s and the windows were from the same era.

1) Note in the room that the robes can be used, but will be charger if taken. There were no robes in the room
2) pillow/ bed was so uncomfortable
3) fridge was missing. Cupboard was there for the fridge.
4) room facing very noisy street wasn’t warned about this. Noise finally stopped around 4am

Room was average for the price, when using the bathroom the sink didn’t drain properly and the bath had a temperature cap of 50 degrees so ended up being quite cold. However the bed was extremely comfy with the added mattress topper. Outside noise wasn’t an issue but you could clearly hear the people walking down the corridor during the night.

Common areas were really nice. Room was a good size but no desk so just a lot of empty floor space.
Bed was super hard and uncomfortable and stained.
Air conditioning did not work or turn on so had to have window open which led to us being disturbed all night.

Amazing hotel, great location with everything within walking distance, staff extremely friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely stay here again.

We stayed in the Marriott for one night, we werdd ed down Cardiff to watch a show, from the moment we arrived at reception they were very welcoming, our room was immaculate on 7th floor, no noise very comfortable. We also had breakfast which I couldn’t fault, lots of breakfast choices, plenty of tea anc coffee on hand, the waiter service was faultless and the young girl that served coffee was so kind, would definitely stay at this hotel again

No complaints about the staff or service BUT as a well recognized hotel chain I was shocked to find that there is no undercover access to the lobby from the car park and the drop off area is also poorly designed giving less than adequate protection in the event of inclement weather, which in Wales is fairly often!

Great hotel, very convenient for the city centre. Clean, comfortable rooms.
A little noisy with the local bars below but luckily that was only early evening on a Saturday it didn't go on into the early hours. Lovely breakfast and good late checkout time.

Comfy bed . Nice bar and decent breakfast. We had a family room facing the Main Street which had a lot of bars on which meant loud music until late which is usually fine but we were up early for the half marathon so would have liked a room on the other side of the hotel ideally, worth asking for this if you need an early night . Overall though great location for shops and nightlife . Also few more drink options in the room would be good like decaf tea coffee. Nice room overall .

They gave us a room for disable person and we are not but what we really like is room itself and bathroom is very spacious and the aircon was functionally well. One thing we dont't liike is the shower area is very small. You can hear talking outaide of the room. The bed was not so good, and the carpet was a little bit dusty may be it was awhile to someone to stay this room.

Ideal position for pubs clubs and shopping. Ideal parking which was cheap over night. clean and tidy throughout staff were extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

Some staff was cheeky the bed was clean had to go to reception to have a clean they came to room and taken a photo of the sheets that was all stained so we were disappointed

Not great. Booked superior room with king bed but room was small as was bed. Reception tried to tell us this was what Marriott call a king bed! Anyway got another room with 2 double beds and it was a bit tired with things like broken curtain, missing secondary glazing and dirty in window sill. Bathroom and breakfast was ok and I did sleep but just felt it wasn’t up to standard for the price or the brand

Stayed for business on Tuesday 27th of August and was very pleased with the hotel.

This property is dated and needs to be modernised. Safe didn’t work and reception said there was nothing they do about it. Replace it might be a good start. Aircon didn’t work properly and was noisy. Shower was not separate and in a bath. Positives were breakfast was decent. But to top it all party central is outside of the hotel and it’s difficult to sleep. Not a place I will ever stay again, £350 this cost for two nights and that included parking. Overpriced and not the standard I expect from the Marriott.
