This hotel is a 4* at best. I was given a room on the ground floor in the corner with full view into the room from all angles, which provided little to no privacy. The bathroom did not have a proper way to drain water, so after a shower, almost the whole floor would be covered and even leak into the hall.
Also had some bad service experiences in the hotel. And the pool was way too cold to swim, making it redundant. Shame, as it is advertised bettter than it is.

Beautiful facility and rooms. Great dining and wonderful staff.

It you don’t rent a car and take a taxi to drop you off at this hotel, their security are not allowed to let cabs inside. Expect to walk from the gate with your heavy luggages. The two of us had 6 LARGE luggages plus 2 carry on bags and it didn’t matter to them. The next day we went to the mall and came back with a lot of stuff and it was raining heavily. Still, it didn’t matter to them. We had to walk in heavy rain with our shopping bags because they won’t let a cab at least to drop us inside near the hotel. They did not treat us as valued customers in that regard. However we enjoyed the pool area and the New Year celebration.

We can half an hour early for check in and where made to wait till exact check in time by a rather unfriendly receptionist. We had to take our own luggage to the room. The pool (what we came for) was under construction and we were only informed apon arrival. The room service from the previous guest was still outside the room when we finally got to the room. When we came back from dinner the tray was still outside the door... Bed is uncomfortable, room was small for the price. This was a let down!

Very clean. Very helpful staff.

This place has deteriorated substantially over the years, non functioning TV offering, loud guests allowed to traverse the passages late at night & to be polite, the obvious presence of physical companionship for sale in the Bar/Foyer areas. Not appropriate!!

Excellent stay. Hotel was very good and clean. What made the experience even better was the staff. All of the staff we encountered were wonderful and had a great sense of humour.

The hotel was ok. Unfortunately one person at the front desk was very bad and made me feeling not good.

The hotel is coupled to a casino and does not police the rowdy guests that go back to their rooms at all hours of the night. So stay here if you are happy to be woken up by drunk casino patrons every hour after midnight

Very good hotel in Windhoek. The hotel is in excellent condition. The room was spacious, clean, modern, had a nice view and Wi-Fi. Dinner and Breakfast buffets were delicious and had varied selections. The pool was great. The lazy river needs cleaning, it was not kept clean enough, though. Service was good and parking was free. The hotel has a couple shops, a nice restaurant and bar, and a casino on-site. It's next to a cute neighborhood, Academia, and the University of Namibia. It's a nice place to stay when in Windhoek.

This was our base for our honeymoon and we spent three nights here - one when we first arrived in Namibia, one after we’d visited Botswana and Zimbabwe, and one before we flew back home. They went above and beyond on our first night with a decorated bed, Le roux and a hamper. It was an amazing start to our honeymoon. Our second stay was less honeymoon-like as we were given a twin room! The third was better and we had double room as booked. We’d recommend it as a base for travelling but we didn’t actually explore Windhoek at all because we were there so briefly.

The first night the power on the room tripped and since my son is sleeping with an electric device helping with his breathing we had a very unpleasant night. The second day when we got back at the hotel, nothing was done to resolve the problem. Only when then they started looking into the problem. Breakfast on the first morning was something we want to forget asap. Food was cold, tasteless and my impression - left overs from the previous day.

Quiet location, love the serenity.

Very comfortable room, but loud dripping of water from the air conditioning woke me up at 3am. Even turning it off didn’t fix it. Had to stand on s chair and wrap a towel around it.

Staff relatively friendly and efficient. Had to move rooms three times within a 24 hour period. i.e. a faulty door lock, a faulty AC and spent a restless last night as we left at 05h00 the following morning. Food and culinary experience was poor. Had to send my rib eye steak back twice before refusing to pay for it. Firstly it arrived raw and the second time it was not edible, tough as old boots. My wife decided on the salad buffet which proved the better option. Wife ordered a soup from room service and received what looked like a chicken stew. The planned stay was two nights so wanted to maximise the experience. Pity about the first time travel to Windhoek.

Initially received an 'accidental' downgrade and staff tried to say to swtich to the room on our Expedia confirmation would cost extra. Eventually we were moved to the correct room type. Bathroom had paint peeling from the ceiling, the shower control was hanging off the wall and there was quite bad mould around the bath edge. The mini fridge also had a number of listed items missing already and disturbingly the adjoining doors for the next room (which was not part of our party) were both unlocked (just a wooden chair in front).
Ordered cocktails but were informed that half of the ingredients were not available. Eventually found a cocktail which they could make but upon receipt the alcohol was suspiciously missing from any taste.
The breakfast and dinner buffets are very good and one of the dinner waiters stood out as having good people skills and speed to respond to diners. The pool area looked like a nice place to spend time if we had been staying for longer and the golf course looked ok too (though pretty busy).
Fine for golfers, business people and those more interested in the casino side of the hotel.

Glitzy, but only skin deep. We ordered room service. After 1 hour and 20 minutes we called to check on status and were told that it's a very long wait when they're busy (weren't told that when we ordered) and that it was on it's way. Twenty minutes later, still no food, called and canceled order. Tried to call manager but was told there wasn't one on duty. In addition, the bathroom grout was moldy and the "lazy river" was overrun with algae -- disgusting. There was no directory in the room describing amenities and hours (odd given that it adjoins a golf course). And then it took 10 minutes to check-out even though everything had been prepaid. This hotel needs to up its game. The Hilton in town is MUCH better.

The Country Club Hotel was comfortable hotel basically appointed (African Standards) it probably meets the mininimum standards for a 4 Star hotel but has the feel of a 3 star cleaned up to meet 4 star standards. but in all comfortable.
Avoid the Casino unless you enjoy dark smoke filled caverns and slot machines that look like they need a good clean.
The Golf course is worth playing however the locals at the course make guests feel as welcome as a nasty rash on hot day.
Would I reccomend the hotel?
If you haven't been there before give it a try.

My only problem was that the hotel did not respond to my emails re transportantion from the airport and booking in the restaurant prior to my arrival which if I had not had experience of the City would have been quite a problem.
