The dress code for your restaurants are dumb ...you on a beach town ..how can you ask for long pants and dress shoes...for sure is not a Grand Lux Hotel...but over is good places to come back again...

The most unpleasant resort experience me and my family have had we will never return. Only bright side was the fantasia show and the beach. I have never experienced such unpleasant experience one after another the staff was horrible. I would never recommend anyone come here. Every single one of us had food poisoning . The bar tenders are the worst part of the resort refused to wash hands and half cleaned the cups with a quick rinse.

Buffet restaurants served the same food daily in both restaurants with very little variation on a daily basis. Being there 7 days we were tired of eating the same thing daily. It’s a family resort yet adults separated with kids as adult pool with swim up bar did not allow kids in the pool. Servers would not take beverage order from kids. Limited kid drink options beside pop and water.

The restaurants are top notch ! The buffets have so many varieties and assortment of foods. You cannot go wrong at any of the buffets. Their drinks, alcoholic, are not stiff so I think I'd like an improvement in that area. The staff is beyond excellent, very courteous and attentive. There is an airport transfer you can purchase at an affordable price. The spa is very nice and clean. I got a massage there, and it was good. There were nightly shows that were very entertaining and enjoyable. Small shops just across the street where you can get some souvenirs or even just a junk food fix.
My only complaint would be the check in and check out process. There was one guy when we checked in, three families in front of us for a wait time of 30 minutes. The check out, you must remember to bring all your pool towel cards back but there is no smooth process to check out as you are waiting in the same line that those that are checking in are standing in.
Overall, a great all inclusive that has everything you need for a family vacation.

Huatulco was AMAZING!!! Barcelo not so much. The food was not good at all. No flavor the drinks were watered down. Not what I expected from a Resort. The pool was dirty. If you want to Visit Huatulco do not stay at Barcelo.

Barceló is a wonderful place for you and your family, we stayed over a week and enjoyed everything, they think of every single detail, activities for kids and adults within the hotel installations.
Special thanks to Don Abel, doña Mary, Lucedelis, and in general all of the great staff who work at the restaurant

Wonderful holiday! Room was clean, spacious and loved the balcony. We enjoyed both buffets and the service was fast and efficient . Would love to see an outside shower to rinse before entering pool or ocean. 🙏. The staff was very approachable and towels bountiful. Thank you we will be back.

We had to wait 3 hours after check in for our room.
Bottled water was only stocked when the room was changed over each day, otherwise you had to go off resort to get bottled water.
Room service was extra cost on top of all inclusive
The buffet was closed from 4-630 pm so there was no option of food between those hours.
Food was only available in the restaurant and not at your sitting area.
There was only one bar for the entire resort, drink service was slow if existent at all
Staff was variable in terms of friendliness and how helpful they were to be.
In saying that, the room was very clean and the food was good, very fresh and lots of options

The property is clean and the wait staff were excellent. This was our 3 trip to the area and the second time to this resort. Instead of getting a VIP expedia room upgrade we had a room down grade. They also allow people to reserve the pool loungers so be ready to be up at 5am to get a spot by the pool. Some of the immenities such as the mini golf have really gone down hill.

Great stay, excellent service, very attentive staff. Very slow check-in process. It's not the easiest bay in Huatulco to swim to the point that you don't see many people in the water.

The property is not modern but it is well kept. It is not a huge resort but perfect for relaxing. We booked 3 nights and we were able to make reservations for dinner at the Mexican and Italian restaurant and food was delicious. The buffet restaurants are decent. We went downtown and the taxi services we requested from the lobby and there were always taxis available.

Our family really enjoyed this property. Lots to do for the whole family. Decent rooms, nice pool area and beautiful beach area. Staff was good. The food was decent as well as far as buffet goes, drinks were decent. We did upgrade to premium from reading online reviews and seemed to be worth it. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

This place is very chill. My husband and I are both 49 and we felt pretty young. The food is authentic, I am a little picky so it wasn’t my style, my husband thought it was good. The excursions are very inexpensive. The staff is amazing. There is a little town you can walk to. Nobody cat calls you, begs for money, and you feel very safe. Super clean. Overall we recommend for a chill vacation.

Loved the warm water. Great to be able to access water sports for free like kayaking and the small catermaran. Lovely staff. Very clean. I hurt my foot on rocks and life guard gave me excellent service.
Cons was the drop off for swimming but dudnt bother me.
