This is the second time I have stayed at this Sonesta in 3 months. I was disappointed that the water fountains have not been fixed since August, the dining room still needs a deep cleaning (the upholstery on the chairs is very dirty) and the hallway carpets still have not been shampooed. My door did not shut without slamming it. The cleaning maintenance does not seem to be occurring regularly. The staff in August was very helpful - and it appears there have been some new capable staff hired since August. I hope the next few hires are backed with money for some of the regular maintenance that needs tended to. Having said all of that The room was very comfortable and as long as no one wants to visit me in my room - I would probably stay here again.

We stayed for two nights. Hotel was very quiet. The room was clean , beds comfortable. Check-in and out was quick and front staff very helpful, would stay here again

The spot light outside my window lit up my entire room. When I asked if it could be turned off I was told to use the curtains. Yes I was using the curtains, the same ones that don’t completely close because they don’t overlap and still leave approx an inch gap. The bathroom light was burnt out, and candy wrappers were left on the ground next to the bed. I then found they took a $400 hold on my card for “when the room gets trashed” the front desk agent told me they take $150 when I asked why my room was authorized $400 she told me she didn’t know and couldn’t tell me.

It was a great stay but the heavyset lady working the front desk needs to smile and be friendlier to the Guest.

Hotel was nice. The room was nice but there was still garbage in the garbage cans, no hand soap, and towels were not replenished.

Overall great for the price. Walls a little thin, bathroom fan super loud, but value was great.

We checked in at 9:30 pm and Antron was there to greet us with a smile. He was very helpful and friendly. The hotel is older but well kept. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfy. The breakfast was well stocked and good. Would stay here again if we ever pass through.

Simple room great price, exactly what we needed. Breakfast was better than expected with fantastic coffee. I would stay here again.

The Gentleman that work nights at the Desk, was awesome. Very Polite, curtisy, just plain perfect.

The gentleman who checked us in was fantastic they clearly need more like him unfortunately things went down hill from there Sink didn’t drain, curtains didn’t close, toilet seat broken, no toilet paper and only 2 towels but bed was super comfortable Upon returning to our room after the first night housekeeping forgot our room and the guy at front desk seemed very irritated by us bringing it up and asking for toilet paper and a couple towels Overall extremely disappointing

We had a late night check in with one of the most friendly desk agents. Helpful and happy! All amenities were clean and breakfast was good, lots of options.

The Breakfast was GREAT

We had 2 rooms. 1 has a bag of take-out trash left on the floor, a sticky spot on the carpet, long hairs left in the shower and the handle of the hair dryer. The bottom of the ice bucket had holes in it, and the door to the a/c control fell off. The other room had 1 facecloth and 1 hand towel in it, no shower towels and no liner in the ice bucket.

This was our first time to Minot and the first time at this hotel . The rooms were very spacious, clean , quiet and the bed was comfortable. Check in and checkout was easy with a very friendly staff. Would stay here again and definitely would recommend to family and friends!

Quiet and comfortable rooms but When we checked in at 4 PM our requested room was not available yet so they asked us to wait for 15 minutes so they could clean the room. When we got to the room it was very obvious it was a quick clean-dirt on lower shelves of nightstands, slippery film of some kind of cleaner on bathroom floor, and no shampoo or soap in the shower.

A set of contacts were dried on the bathroom sink or I would give 5 stars.

Front desk staff were amazing and friendly. Rooms were very dirty. Items left in the fridge from prior guest. Used wet washcloth still in the shower hidden areas haven’t been dusted for months visible areas. Also had a layer of dust bedding was dirty and after getting put into another room at first glance, it appeared Cleaner but housekeeping is definitely slacking. Never have stayed in a hotel so dirty. Very strong stench in room. I would give five stars to the front desk staff/manager who offered a discount, but housekeeping definitely needs a lot of improvement.

The staff were great at this hotel! Breakfast was very well stocked and freshly ground beans for their coffee was excellent!

Very dirty rooms, end tables where not cleaned at all, mystery white stains all over the bathroom walls, found a short black hair in the sink. Carpets are sticky in most spots. The door to the hallway was off the hinge so you legit have to pick the door up just for it to close and there very heavy doors. Found someone elses dirty black shirt under the bench. There zero attention to details when it comes to cleaning. For them to be charging almost 200$ a night Canadian for that is absolutely outrageous. Made management aware and still have had no reach out. Clearly proves my point on this dirty hotel.

Check in was great, the young man working the front desk was very polite and gave us our first room. We checked into the room and we could hear people talking and we thought it was the TV from the room beside us. But unfortunately, there was a couple arguing in the room next to us. I had left my credit card down at the front desk so went back to get it and requested that we move rooms because it was uncomfortable being next to the arguers. The same young man at the front desk was glad to give us a new room. We went to our next room and the door would not open, it wasn't a key problem, the deadbolt was on. So there was obviously people inside that room. We returned back to the front desk and requested a third room. That room was quiet and we were able to access the room. However, the carpet in the room felt as though it was damp and sticky. The sheets and bedding also felt very damp. I'm not sure if it's because the AC was running too high or what was wrong. I turned the AC off and by morning the sheets felt fine, but the floor seem to still have a sticky feeling to it. Our bathroom had no towels in it. The only towels that we had were two face cloths. I didn't bother to request more as when we realize there was no towels. It was almost midnight. I guess there is a reason why this hotel was on the middle of the price spectrum for hotels in Minot. As you read through reviews and comments on many hotels in Minot, it seems as though they all have similar issues.

Overall it was a decent stay. I didn’t do the breakfast on either stay but my parents liked how big the handicap accessible room was and the amenities that came in their room. There was hair in the tub and beds were really hard. I liked the pillows and all the space in the room.

stayed in King SUITE with kitchen. fridge NEVER worked. NO CUTLERY, DISHES, NOTHING, TO utilize the kitchen. pointless having full kitchen. No alarm clock, No phone to contact front desk. Cleaner came in , changed garbage and replaced towels, NOTHING else was cleaned. TV was roku, subscription needed for most channels. Not helpful if you are Canadian subscriber..provider not recognized for espn etc.. likely NOT staying again or recommending

Great place to stay for a night.

To start when attempting to check in, facility struggles to process Canadian cards. Example Mastercard and debit card, with numerous attempts and no solution other than telling you to go get cash. Then it processes after the umpteen try. Room was dusty, beds were hard and carpet in room had a stickiness to it. The hot tub lacked the proper amount of water. The jets are aggressive with the splash. Breakfast was limited, example numerous items empty even though continental breakfast had only been start a little over an hour prior to attending and there was over an hr left.

The front desk registration staff was wonderful! They are friendly and willing to answer questions. The room was also very reasonably priced. Thank you for a great stay!
