We enjoyed a 9 night stay at the Kona Reef Resort and had the best stay! The property is beautiful and very clean! The rooms were very updated, spacious, and clean. The property is very well maintained and has an awesome pool, hot tub, and grill area with 4 gas grills to use all overlooking the ocean a d plenty of onsite parking. The units have all the necessary amenities for any length of stay including a full kitchen, washer and dryer, maid service with fresh towels and toiletries thoughout our stay and a beautiful Lani to sit on overlooking the ocean. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone. You cant beat the view and all of this while being within walking distance of dozens of many great shops and restaurants.

The staff was great and even after I accidentally checked out early they allowed me to finish my stay plus held on to my Luggage after check out until my flight the next day !!

Pool area and grill were a nice touch also right on the ocean! Communication wasn’t the best texted the phone number provided and got no reply. A little outdated but it’s pretty good for what you get!

I would give a full 5 stars however, I was told if I needed anything to just text the number back that gave the room code. When I did no one answered. Then I went to the office and stood outside for 15 minutes waiting for someone to come back. The location was great though and overall enjoyed my stay.

E3 is a nice unit, next to the pool. The tv needs updating. You are expected to remove your own trash and the early 10am check out is strictly enforced. Be aware that the unit is minimally stocked: no condiments.

Had a wonderful experience at Kona Reef. Staff were wonderful and accommodating. The area is walking distance to the local food and shopping area.

My family and I really enjoyed the stay at Kona Reef. The room we stayed had everything we needed including the best ocean view ever! When you go out to the balcoy, the ocean is right in front of you. The place is walkable distance from the main shopping/dining area. The staff was kind and accommodating. We had a full kitchen, washer and dryer in the room. They had plenty of parking, too. I definitely would come back and stay at Kona Reef again.

Our room B23 was 25 yards away from Ali Drive, the car noise was constant. The unit was15 from the beach where family gathered which was nice but the homeless people slept and argued. Garage parking was convenient as well

The rooms are spacy, property is well maintained and we felt was reasonably priced. It is not a hotel, its a vacation rental, its a one bedroom condo with small kitchen, furnished - equipped.

The unit we stayed in was AMAZING!! The perfect mix of privacy and accessibility! The pool was perfect! The staff was AMAZING! They were so accommodating, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful, every member of staff we encountered was A1! We didn’t want to leav.

Good spot to stay in Kona. Close enough to town, yet far enough for quiet. Everything was super smooth. Enjoyed the large room ocean view and amenities. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful biews roght next to a litter beach...easy parkng.easy entry...self check in and out. Will definitely be back!

Definitely run down, needs an update. Windows are so thin can hear people walking by. Curtain at slider was so dirty and disgusting. Was disappointed upon arrival, pictures make it look newer than it even is.

The view and access to the beach

First the pros The location is nice and close to lost of stuff. The beaches that are swimmable are close by.. the one next door is not very rocky.. The staff at the non existence front desk was super nice very helpful.. or at least pretent to help To help. Now the cons.. omg hold on. First i made numerous attempts to call before to To let them know we would be arriving late due to the flight landing at 9:30pm No one ever responded upon landing i saw a text was sent with a code to get into the room. Upon entering the room instantly smelled like mold and was stuffy. We tried to turn on the air and to our surprise they dont work. Not the one in the bed nor the living room.. who doesnt love a hot sweaty night.. The next da i told the guy at the front desk and he sent over the maintenance guy. He reset the breakers and they turn on for about and hour.. the next day i told the young lady at the desk and in front of the maintenance guy and he said he would take another look. Well we arrived and it was the same and the first night... check out day.. oh the ac maintenance guy is going to check your unit.. well that great we are leaving. In addition there was no pool key left for us to use i had to request one at the non front desk. The kicker... is the last night you get a text to take out your trash... WHAT THE WHAT???? Never ever in the history of life have i stayed anywhere where you pay to take out your trash. Honestly this was so disappointing and will not ever return.

This property exceeded our expectations. It had everything you need in a good condo: a modern kitchen with reasonably new appliances, granite countertop, good A/C, washer/dryer, lots of utensils. They even gave us a rice cooker. There was a water leak the day we checked in, and hence, they gave us a different unit. They could have done a better job of communicating that issue. But they did handle the issue promptly when we reached out. Definitely a great location - next to beach, close to main shopping/dining places.

The views on the balcony were awesome, you could relax and watch the surfers and boogie boarders. The private bedroom was perfect when you have people that are on different sleep schedules.

The location is excellent, by a good beach. Very clean. Bed and linens are comfortable. Great staff.

View of the ocean was beautiful. Very clean and quiet. I would definitely stay there next time
