We were evacuated from our rental on Anna Maria Island with Hurricane Helene getting close, so I had to scramble to find a place for us to spend our last 3 days in Tampa. I booked this hotel online and arrived the next day to find that it was also in an evacuation zone. The girl at the desk told me she was waiting to hear what corporate wanted to do about possibly evacuating. Shortly after getting settled in our room they said we would be allowed to stay if we signed a waiver agreeing to stay at our own risk. I was very happy to do so believing that it was going to be safe place, and they also had free parking in a garage so we could have our rental car on the second floor. It turned out we never saw any storm surge at the hotel although there was significant damage to the west and even east of us. So we were completely safe when the hurricane hit. The room was especially comfortable and very quiet even though there were others staying nearby on our floor and above and below us. The breakfast was fantastic each day and had many delicious options, another pleasant surprise! There were also nearby restaurants and things to do during our stay. TPA being literally across the road was very convenient when it was time to catch our flight.

We arrived early and the young lady checking us in was wonderful and allowed us to check in early. Once in the room someone just randomly opened our door and obviously startled everyone she also startled herself and just remained in the room trying to figure out why we were there. I’m assuming she was housekeeping looking to clean the room. At first glance the room looked clean but then we noticed small things that indicated the room was not. There was a charger that was left behind from the previous person and crumbs all over the nightstand by the bed. The hallways looked like they hadn’t been vacuumed in a while. We arrived at 9am and stayed overnight we never heard them cleaning. The person that took over the desk in the afternoon just kept giving my kids keycards when they asked for them in which I did not appreciate at all.

First we were met with Denise's smiling face. Check in was a breeze. It is rare that a hotel exceeds the expectations created by the pictures, but this one certainly did. The fire pit was lovely, the pool was surrounded by pretty flowers and bushes. The rooms were spacious. The breakfast was very good. The shuttle was good with friendly drivers. DO NOT CONFUSE THIS HOTEL WITH THE OTHER HAMPTON INN! The other is undergoing construction!

The hotel is in a place 30min car of everything. It is clean and confortable. The breakfast is good, considering it is USA. There is plenty of restaurants and markets 10min by car. I would comeback again

Nice place. Would stay again. Breakfast no do good. Horrible water pressure in the shower and we were only on the 2nd floor.

Our stay at Hampton Inn & Suites Tampa Airport Avion Park Westshore was a post cruise stay. We were staying an extra day and rented a car at he airport. This hotel is conveniently located for an early morning flight. Basically just across the street. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We were able to check in earlier than 3 pm. Having a car was very beneficial since there is not a lot of restaurants within walking but close enough for a short drive. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great breakfast

Very clean and welcoming hotel. The room was very clean, mattress was in good shape which I recently had a lot of trouble with in other even more expensive hotels. We needed a good location for travel around the airport and this worked great, especially they have covered parking without a fee. The only negative side is the hotel was full and while the dining area is huge, the breakfast bar itself is way too small. The toasters barely work, the large one not at all. Waffle makers need to be replaced, nobody could get them out due to sticking and to soft dough. The coffee was empty already at 8 am and only got refilled once we asked. The two ladies taking care of the area seemed to be on their own and probably did the best they could and still did it with a smile. Work on your breakfast and you have a great location for a budget-friendly trip. Overall I would book it again.

Lovely room. Plenty of space for family of four. Nice breakfast with options that you’d expect. Hot water has an issue, but we were told at check-in and that it was being fixed the next morning.

We felt welcomed from the moment we first walked in the door and customer service was excellent! We plan to stay at this hotel in the future when we visit Tampa again. Thank you!

Really enjoyed the stay at Hampton. Check in was a breeze. Everyone that works there gave great customer service. Very clean establishment and comfy bed. Really nice, will stay again.
