Always wanted to try this accomodation. The rooms have been done up beautifully with fabulous bathroom. Yes there are stairs to the second floor with no lift but not a deal breaker. The only issue was the access to the rooms is via a long hallway behind the bar/dinning area and in the morning a trolley full of left over meals was not nice to walk past so possibly they need to think about presentation outside of the rooms. Good parking and nice location with beautiful big trees and nicely kept gardens. Beautiful 1920s building full of lovely woodwork and light fittings.

Last night in NZ before flight back to UK couldn’t have been at a better place for service, comfort and location. Will quite happily book this again next time we’re back in NZ

Hotel staff were extremely nice and helpful. I should nite that the hotel does not have a lift, so if you stay on an upper floor, be prepared to carry your bags up the stairs.

This property has a low profile I only found it through Expedia. Locals are mainly not aware of its existence.
The room was very comfortable and warm. Ensuite great. Bed very comfortable. Excellent coffee from restaurant.

Always stay here as comfortable, quiet and the staff are fantastic. Love the new menu.The only thing I would suggest is more TV channels- sky movies or chromecast available on the tv's in the bedrooms.

Loved the fact it was originally the NZ air force officers mess. A beautiful 1930's building with lots of original features. Nice staff and recently updated

Check in was very bad. I am 80 years old and I have a room on 1st floor. There are no lifts and there was nobody to help me take my luggage up 2 flights of stairs, even though I asked.

Business Trip. The dinner was excellent. I did not stay for breakfast as cooked breakfasts were only offered and I did not have the time to wait. Room was quiet, comfortable and clean. Bathroom had heated tiled floor which was a nice touch. I would look forward to a return visit.

Newly renovated rooms w an old military flare in the hallways. As a retired military officer, it was a great feel to walk the halls of an old officer building.

The staff here is amazing so friendly. This is a hidden gem. The restaurant has great food, close to the airport and center city but away from all the hustle and bustle.

Delightful retro decor. Easy access in a quiet residential neighbourhood. Plenty of additional parking out back for larger vehicles. Clean room, comfortable bed with quality bed linen. Friendly staff.

From the moment we came in the door, the receptionist went over and beyond to make our stay comfortable and special. She saw our heavy luggage and changed our room so we would be on the ground floor, offered us early check-in, made sure on many occasions that we were alright and opened the door for us as we were leaving with our many luggages. It was so appreciated!

Very charming hotel with lots of interesting history & strong tie to RNZAF. The bathroom has heated floor, what a lovely surprise! The restaurant makes nice meals and provides good customer service. The only setback is the desk inside the room was too small and there’s no power point near the desk, a bit difficult for a business traveler.

We enjoyed the room (nicely decorated) and the building and history attached to it. However the overall experience was spoiled by the debris and rubbish outside our bedroom window, the fact we where supplied a very limited amount of milk (only allowed for one cup of tea each) as well as that the bed was poorly made up for our second night stay. Given what what we where charged a night this was very disappointing and would not return or recommend to others

Lovely stay at the Wigram Hotel. We visited the New Zealand Air Force Museum which was really interesting.

Quiet and easy to access. Friendly helpful staff
Air con was uncontrollable kept resetting itself onto higher temperature therefore turned it off and opened windows which was OK but a bit noisier.
Thought you would like to know that the seal on shower door was not good and leaked onto outside floor.

Lovely boutique hotel. We stayed for loner than we originally booked as the venue was so interesting, the room and bathroom lovely and we slept so well because the bed was so comfortable. Very friendly and attentive staff.
