The Copley Square Hotel (CSH) is conveniently located a 5-10 minute walk from the Hynes Convention Center. The CSH building is (very) old but the facility has been recently renovated. My room was modernish, large by Boston standards and had all of the expected amenities. Heating worked. Internet was fine. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. There are many, many eating options nearby, with an upscale market across the street. I arrived late, and so used the vending-machine, guest kitchen on the first floor. Much to my amazement, the prices for sodas and snacks from the machines were less than at neighborhood convenience stores, and less than at my place of work (a university). I am very accostomed to hotels charging outrageous prices for products from vending machines. I was delighted to see that the CSH did not do so. Yes, I know that this is a small thing considering that the cost of hotel rooms in Boston in the equivalent of a hundred (and more) sodas from a vending machine. That said, I appreciate that CSH chose not to take advantage of their guests.

It will do. For the price. Its perfect. If you’re looking for a bit more luxury or hands-on specialty, this might not be the place. If you’re looking for a no-frills locale near great shopping and restaurants, this is the place.

You can’t beat the location. The room was nice and large, but the bathroom was a little challenging overall it was a great stay. Although there weren’t enough towels andthe pillowcase had a stain on it.

The rooms are tiny but adequate. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Very good value for the money. Very reasonable price. Free coffee and perfect location.

The actual hotel experience was great. Everything was very clean and comfortable. However, the parking is very expensive. The hotel offered valet service for $65 per day and the only other option is a self-parking garage across the street for $45.

The hotel is beautiful, clean and spacious. The staff at night were not very friendly and only kind of helpful. Morning staff were a little better. I would stay here again just based on location, and comfort.

The staff is always so nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. The rooms are always clean. A few upgrades would be great, such as better coffee and snacks or a coffee shop. The surroundings are not that well-lit, so in my personal opinion, I felt a little uneasy going out to get food. Maybe a new carpet while keeping the historical integrity of the Hotel. I will keep coming to the hotel, I love it.

The Copley Square Hotel was a very quaint, special hotel that I would definitely stay at again. I very much enjoyed staying at the second oldest hotel in continuous operation in Boston. I was solo on this trip and reserved a queen room. It was the perfect size for just me. In the future, I I were to stay there with my husband, I will reserve a king room. The room had no closet, but instead a clothing rack that worked just fine for me. There was not coffee pot in the room, but there was a coffee machine downstairs that had decaf, regular, and cappuccino which was great! Even when I was up at 4am to catch my flight out of Boston, there was fresh coffee available. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. The hotel is within walking distance of shopping and restaurants on Newberry Street. Attached to the hotel is a latin restaurant where I ordered delicious chicken tacos and friend plantains my last night in Boston. This is a lovely hotel! I highly recommend.

I can’t believe this room cost over $500 a night. The only thing good about this place is the location. The rooms are very small and worn. The most disturbing thing though was seeing the light turn on and off of the other person’s room/bathroom through the vent. You could hear toilets flush and people brushing their teeth very clearly.

The hotel was a good place to stay in the center of Boston. Staff were very friendly & helpful when I arrived & checked in.
My room was clean & comfortable, the one negative thing was the noise from a fan, or some motor running during the night.

Good location near Back Bay. The only issue I had was the room was not very clean. I found a few hairs on the desk in my room, and the bathroom ceiling was peeling paint. I just expected a little more for the price point.

At $650 a night I would expect more. If you get a room in front of the building, 1st floor, request a new room. You hear everything outside the hotel. Also, the wifi/cell service was terrible. Maybe not import to some but for me on a work trip, it's important. Lastly, if you desire a room w/ a bit of space, pass here. It was barley big enough to fit the bed, full/queen. I did stay here as Boston was all $600+ a night during this trip. I should have spent the extra and went across to the Marriott where i normally stay. Tried to save work some money.

The property is situated in an excellent location, just a short walk from Newbury Street. As the oldest hotel in Boston, it carries some historic charm but also presents a few challenges. Noise can be an issue, as sounds from doors closing are easily heard throughout the hotel. During our stay, the television fell off the wall, but the staff promptly addressed and resolved the situation. Overall, the service was outstanding, and the hotel is well-suited for a brief stay.
