allocated a very large room (#3 Greenfell) with large bay window with window seat overlooking the front of the hotel with views to the right of the sea. Had everything i needed, and lots of space. Great shower, proper hairdryer - very happy. Dedicated gluten free choices for breakfast and hot food made to order - very good. Only complaint - please put a proper mug in the room, tea cups are too small

Hotel excellent. Room lovely and spacious, loved to ‘big bath’. Met by a friendly male at reception on arrival. Staff all had attentive and friendly manner. Lovely clean hotel, from sitting areas to restaurants and rooms. We used the swimming pool daily for an hour with the children which they loved.

I had a lovely room and enjoyed my stay. Clearly the hotel has been and in the process of updating, and a lot is looking very smart but some wear and tear signs are visible -and it was on the cool side. Staff were lovely and friendly, despite being busy with weddings. On that matter, I had not been told that there was a wedding when I booked and was toldnon arrival that my room was over the wedding and hoped that would be ok..... not brilliant, but thankfully I was so tired I fell asleep with the TV on to try and drown it out.

We stayed for a wedding which was elsewhere, but not far from the venue. Room is in need of an upgrade, breakfast was lovely and is made fresh, great selection of fruits and cereal etc

Very satisfied with our two night stay at the Fairfield. We would definitely stay again. Everything from check in, spaciousness of the room and bathroom, excellence of the breakfast, courteous staff, cleanliness etc. to check out was great. Thanks for a lovely stay.

A pleasant place to stay, a short walk from the beach and the town centre

In Ayr for just the one night and lucked out with an executive room. Staff all friendly and efficient. didn't have dinner but the food we saw heading to the dining room looked delicious. Excellent breakfast.
Only negative was poor water pressure in shower.

Been to this hotel several times and it doesn’t disappoint . Lovely big room and bathroom . Nice wee swimming pool though jacuzzi broken . Great food in restaurant and sat outside in glorious weather looking over the sea towards Arran .
Staff very friendly . We arrived early as it was my birthday to enjoy the weather so allowed to park car till room ready . When returning to check into room staff had left me a lovely bottle fizz in ice bucket. What a lovely unexpected surprise .

Oldstyle. No elevator, but lots of help with bags. Amazing window to watch the sea. Comfortable. Clean . Great food. Great staff

Loved our stay at the Fairfield facilitys were great and we used them too.
Bar prices were very good too unlike some who can and do charge a lot more over the odds.
Views were good to and room was great for the price.

Rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. The decor could probably do with being updated as its just getting a little bit tired looking, but this in no way detracts from what is a lovely hotel. Staff are really polite and helpful. Our room had a view over a field with tiny Shetland ponies in, and aside view of the sea! We will definitely return!

Our stay for 2 nights was comfortable the staff were helpful and hotel was spacious and clean. The floors on our level were however very squeaky and our second night was interrupted by guest noisily moving around very late and into the early hours

Beautiful room and bathroom. There were stains and marks on bedding, hair in the toilet, leftover water in the kettle. The shower design made water splashes everywhere outside of the shower. Other than those, members of staff were lovely and welcoming.

Hotel was well situated and easy to find with plenty of parking. The rooms we had were quite basic but clean and one room had no window that offered a view. The beds weren’t comfortable although they were sizeable. The leisure center was ok apart from the jacuzzi was out of action. The staff were very good and very helpful but I feel the hotel had room for improvement to make it more modern.

Great price for an unbelievably massive suite! (paid less than what I’d have paid in a travel lodge or premier inn). Room was spotless, bathroom was 5% and the service from the bar staff and receptionist was first class

Some areas of the hotel need some TLC.
If you request a walk in shower then should be obvious that 5 steps up inside the bedroom to the bathroom is not a good idea.
Food was much improved from our last visit.
