Hotel Hauser is a family-run hotel since 1938. The Entrance & lobby is on the ground floor, Reception & Breakfast on 1st floor with 4 floors of rooms the layout & style is human-scale and warm. Staff is welcoming and breakfast is a tasty variety. Rooms seem to be singles (I had a very nice one) and doubles. Location is in Maxvorstadt just a couple of blocks from the Universitat U, and a friendly neighborhood with shops, bars & grocery stores. I would be delighted to return!

I had a single room, with a twin bed. It was small, but I knew that beforehand. Very clean, and great breakfast.

Stayed for Oktoberfest, good location , clean, friendly. Rooms on small side but great value for the money.

This was a great location and option for Munich. The hotel was spotless and had a wonderful breakfast. The staff was even flexible in getting me something when I had an early departure. I would gladly stay again if ever in Munich

This is a great hotel in a perfect location, Schwabing, near the University and Englische Garten (5 min walk). It is near a subway line (U3/6, Universitaet)) that connects to the S-bahn to the airport at marienplatz and is thus easy to reach with pubic transportation. There are lifts in the subway station for luggage. One can walk to the central city (Marienplatz) in 15-20 min or take two stops of the subway. The rooms are relatively small (to small for calisthenics for example), but this is the case for most hotels in Munich. The hotel is in an old apartment house and as such each room is a bit different. The hotel is really clean and run by a family of local germans (bavarians). The breakfast was excellent, typical german food (ham, rolls, etc). I will come back.

This hotel sits in between the main downtown area and the very trendy Scwabbing district. it is an older building on the outside but the interior is immaculately kept. My room was very basic, quite small, with a small shower and bathroom. It was kept super clean and had everything you need for a short stay. Staff are friendly and responsive, very nice buffet breakfast is included in the price, and the location could not be better. there are many restaurants of every type, stores, and shops within easy walking distance, and the beautiful English Gardens are a short walk away. UBahn line 6 is close by. I enjoyed my stay and will return here again.

Wonderful choice of hotel one block from University, steps away from many great restaurants, beer halls, and cafes, in a lovely neighborhood filled with antiquarian book shops, antique stores, etc. And not far from Munichs old city. Rooms are spotlessly clean, staff helpful and polite, and the breakfast is amazing! Only small complaint was that the rooms are quite small and the wifi stopped working (but this was not the fault of the hotel). Would stay here again any day, and recommend it without hesitation.

Excellent location - walking distance to center, but...Very small room with a tiny shower, not suitable for disabled or overweight people, no hotel amenities like iron or fridge, 1 key per room, nobody at reception after 10:00 pm - no emergency number provided (In addition, I did not see an exercise room as advertised)Yet a very nice breakfast!WHy didnt I complain? Staff turned defensive when I mentioned slow and spotty wifi. Other hintsabout lacking service were met with equal denial.This is a very basic room in a Pension for which you pay hotel price

A lovely hotel in a wonderful, university-centred neighbourhood, only 20 minutes walk or two subway stops from downtown (Marienplatz), and even closer to the museums and English Garden. The management were very helpful, even though I arrived early in the day. The rooms are not large, but fully comfortable. The breakfast buffet is amazing, with lovely breads, meats, cheese, yoghurts etc.

Great location. Staff was wonderful and helpful. The bed was not comfortable and pillow way too large. The hairdryer was a hose that got too hot to handle after 2 minutes. The breakfast was very nice.

Typical European inner city small hotel. Comfortable, good breakfast, but small room. Not a problem when you are only sleeping & departing. Great location in the University area, 2 minutes to th U Bahn.
