Troy was an extremely disappointing hotel. The noise emanated from both inside and outside the hotel. My wife and I could barely sleep. The breakfast was substandard as they only served stale croissants, and cold cereals. The shower was excellent and probably the best part of the entire stay. The front desk assistance were nice enough. I don’t often leave negative reviews but this was not a comfortable place to stay.

I’ve stayed there several times,it’s a convenient location.The breakfast is sufficient, but always the same. I would stay there again.

A comfortable hotel with lovely old features, located in a quiet street close to park and tube station. Very friendly staff and good breakfast. Great value for money.

I've stayed in the neighborhood and like the area but this was my favorite hotel. The room was not huge but adequate for two people. The breakfast was good and the staff helpful.

We stayed in the family room which was large, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was limited in choice but adequate for what we needed. The staff were all friendly and the hotel clean throughout. We would stay here again.

Good budget stay. The single room was ok sized. The shower unit very small as you cannot move when inside. It's fine for a short stay. Close to Bayswater station and shops/restaurants

Single Room was very small, the main Ceiling light to low as I could hit it with my forehead...I'm 6"1. The room is catered for a small person. The bathroom sink and toilet too small. The shower cubicle height and width again too small. You couldn't manoeuvre round. Positives...Quiet and Friendly staff, free Breakfast

Great location. But that is about it. It has old nasty looking carpet. Terrible breakfast with staff looking angry to be working. I would not recommend it to a friend.

Good location! Very centralized. Decent breakfast at this price point. Downside was the bathroom door in the room couldn't be shut (Probably the hinge). And Single bed is a tad small. Overall is good stay for budget concision travellers.

Very good value. Excellent location near to cafes and restaurants and walking dstance to museums, Hyde Park and even centre of London (keen walkers). Helpful and friendly staff. Clean bedrooms but soundproofing could be better. Very adequate continental breakfast, with boiled eggs.

Location was great for us. Close to two tube stations and Hyde park. The room was more spacious than we expected and the breakfast was very good. Staff were friendly and helpful as well.

A well managed, well maintained small hotel. My room was a good size with very comfortable bed and a modern bathroom, both kept perfectly clean. There's an in room safe and kettle with coffee, tea. Electronic door access and a lift. Continental breakfast was plentiful and never overly busy when I was using it. Location great (200 metres to tube and also a long street full of restaurants of all kinds). Just across the road is peaceful Kensington Gardens.

Clean hotel, in a nice and quiet neighborhood Close to Underground stations Queensway and Bayswater (3 Mins. walking distance), a travel of 4 Tube stations to the center (Oxford circus). Nice breakfast (Continental Buffet)... All in all - a pleasant place to stay

Our first room had twin beds that when you lay upon them I could feel the springs in the mattress digging into my back. After a sleepless night I politely enquired if there was another room available with better bedding. Aurelia, the staff member manning the front desk apologised saying no-one had complained before but arranged for another room. The second room was slightly better but the sheets did not fit the bed and the mattress was exposed each night which was not a nice feeling. We stayed for 8 nights and the bedding was not changed in this time, just the beds were re-made each morning. The staff attending the breakfast room were lovely. Both husband and wife were helpful and friendly. At breakfast we met other tourists who also complained of sore backs because of the poor quality of the bedding so it was evident that the problems existed across all of the rooms in the hotel. Considering we spent the majority of our time in London on this trip, we were seriously disappointed.

Small room with no air flow. Old fan barely moved humid outside air. Few outlets. Old fixtures. Grumpy unhelpful staff.

I informed reception that there was no heating in my room and that the bed side lamp did not work. No action was taken. I informed them again the next day and they fixed the matter although it was not terribly warm. On waking up the next morning the heating was again not working but as I was due to leave I could not be bothered to report it.

Great little hotel. Close to tube station. Well run and well looked after. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. We arrived early and the staff gladly stored our luggage until late in the day. Desk staff are there 24 hrs a day. Breakfast included cereals, yogurt, fruit cocktail, toast, hardboiled eggs, cheese and breads. Free Wi-Fi available and worked fine in our fourth floor room. Will happily stay here again when in London.

Good central location for bus and tube. Not too far to walk to Royal Albert Hall and museums .Will use this hotel again.

The hotel, based just off the Baywater Road, is well situated for the shopping areas of Oxford, Regent and Bond streets. It is also very close to Queensway Circle Tube. Staff were very accomodating and the hotel was scrupulously clean. The only slight downside is that there is only a continental breakfast option though this is quite extensive. Would thoroughly recommend to families and couples

This was a one night stay after a gig in Hyde Park, so the hotel was very convenient. OK for this purpose, but shower did not work. It's an basic place but not one for a longer stay if you are used to comfort. Just a B&B.
