Lovely hotel, very convenient location with friendly and helpful staff. A few minutes from the Ponte Vecchio on the quiet side of the river and very close to the Palazzo Pitti. Beautiful rooftop dining with amazing sunset views and the food was delicious and quite reasonably priced. Good playlist too. The only downside were the stairs but in a 14/15th century building it was too be expected and I was aware of then before booking.

Everything was good the room size, location, the cleanliness and cleaning staff. HOWEVER a young Italian man (unfortunately I did not get his name) who works in the front desk was very rude both during check in and check out. He spoke and treated me as If I did something wrong to him or as if he had a personal problem with me. Very unprofessional not welcoming at all.The lady at the front was very polite welcoming but that young man needs to be retrained on how to give customer service and treat paying customers with respect. Example: during check out he didnt great me or smile barely made any eye contact with me and asked for the local tax payment. As I pulled out my credit card he very rudely said "you where told the payment had to be in cash...the payment has to be in cash"..he repeated himself three times as if insiuating I didn't have it. I pulled out the money and gave it to him he didn't say thank you it was very insulting. He needs to be retrained or put on the cleaning staff if he hates dealing with happy tourist who come spend money and unwind.

The location is excellent. Easy walking distance to all the tourist attractions and restaurants. The room was immaculate and large. Breakfast was good but they charged for you to fill your water bottle. We would stay at this hotel again when visiting Florence.

Great location for a hotel in Florence, however that’s just about it. The air conditioning was terrible especially given the heat in the summer and we were given the excuse that it was due to the humidity however the air conditioning in the reception seemed to be working just fine. No free amenities, not even bottle of water (can’t take 75 cents out of the hotel cost to provide this?) which I would understand at a cheap hotel but this was not cheap. Rooms are pretty dated and simple with stained walls (a lick of paint isn’t very expensive) and very basic furniture. The rooftop bar seemed to be completely un attended whenever we checked. Not a good layout either with a maze of a stair system. If you’re looking for a great location this works but don’t expect much more.

Great hotel! Depending on the shift, the staff was accommodating provided they were not swamped with checkouts. Otherwise they had a very nice patio on the top floor - great view! our room in the courtyard was very quiet and unique layout inside.

I am patting myself on the back for this find. Takes less than 5 minutes to walk to Ponte Vecchio, easy walk to the Duomo. The hotel rooms were big, bed was comfortable, good water pressure and nice hot showers, air conditioning was fantastic. I never did get to their bar. The staff was fantastic, not only did they call for a cab (a van), but stayed with us outside and called again when it took a bit too long for our taxi to arrive (had to catch a train). Getting in and out of the bathroom was a bit of a trick, the way the door closed was a bit awkward.

it was a great stay at La Scalletta. I did my engagement proposal at the restaurant terrace of the hotel and all the staff was really helpfull and got an amazing video from Khady. The location is wonderful, close to 2 stops from public transportation and 1.5 blocks away from Ponte Vechio.

Wonderful location! The room was quiet, cold (in a good way) and large. The only downside was there was a very musty, mildewy stench that seemed to get worse throughout our stay. Not bad enough until the last night to say something and then we were leaving the next morning. The staff were lovely.

Great location near many shops and restaurants. The restaurant on the roof is delicious and has great views of the city. The rooms are reasonably sized but do be aware of the stair climbing in case you need accommodation. There is an elevator but it’s not ideal for more than one person.

Our first time in Florence and the staff and facilities at this hotel made us never want to leave. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved everything at La Scaletta! The best thing is the Sky Bar and roof top restaurant! Wide variety of excellent food and drinks, super conveniently located at a few steps away from Ponte Vecchio.

We stayed for one night and we really like this hotel. Staff were friendly, hotel was super clean and room was spacious.

This hotel was wonderful! Just across the Ponte Vecchio bridge and a short walk from the train terminal was a great location for us. A unique floor plan layout made finding our rooms a little tricky but well worth it once we saw our amazing view of the Boboli Gardens. Roof tops bar and terrace were breathtaking 360 degree views. Wonderful team at reception and checkout along with a friendly hotel team overall. A great stay at a great hotel we will remember for a long time.

A very charming hotel. I can’t fault staff who were very accommodating. Location is ideal to visit museums, churches and gardens. There’s a selection of cuisine and take away foods It doesn’t wasn’t too crowded either.

Perfect location. Convenient. Great room. Breakfast terrace has a great view. Breakfast needs some work. They should offer better breakfast.

La Scalette is a beautiful hotel in Florence. Its location is perfect. You’re within walking distance of amazing shopping, restaurants, the Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo, etc. The only reason I didn’t give it a five star, was the accessibility and mobility within the hotel itself. Even if you take the tiny elevator to your floor, you might have another set of stairs just to get to your room. After a long day of sight seeing in the heat, the last thing you want is to return it to your hotel and have to take 3 to 4 flights of stairs just to get to your room if the elevator is not available. I would also say I found the in-house restaurant very costly. But even with that, it was a lovely stay.

Great location. Great service. Friendly staff. The only drawback were the mosquitoes in our room, the amount of graffiti everywhere, and the streets were pretty dirty and/or had a bad sewage smell most of the time.
