The staff at the reception was very impolite and they where not courteous . (Felt the same both at the time to check in and check out)

The hotel itself is nice but there wasn’t really anything close by in the area. Walking to downtown is doable but a little long trek.

The staff especially Juan Carlos from the breakfast dining area and Rosa from the 12th floor cleaning service were wonderful to us. They went above and beyond. Breakfast was legit Plato typico. This is our second time to the country and we will bookend our next trip with this hotel for sure as we look to explore the nature side of the country. Do yourself a favor and stay here for a few days and learn about the people before hitting the playa!

I was not informed that they are renovating the area around the pool and gym. Therefore the pool was closed and we couldn't use it. Furthermore the gym doors were removed and there was a lot of dust everywhere. If we would have known, we would have booked somewhere else. The food at the restaurant was delicious, the hotel is not located in the best area of town and is a short drive away from San Jose.

A very good hotel for a short stay in San Jose. We had a hugh room on the 9th floor. Breakfast was good, but not many choices. Coffee was weak, but that's a problem all over Costa Rica. Some nice restaurants in the neighbourhood, I highly recommend Lubnan, a Lebanese restaurant. The hotel is a 20 minute walk from downtown San Jose.

Staff was nice and helpful. The room had an intense odor of cleaning alcohol that was tough to withstand. The pool needed to be cleaned.

Unfortunately, because I was feeling when I got there I couldn’t Get out and explore the area, but the hotel itself was extremely nice. The room was excellent in the bed was very comfortable, which was perfect for me because I was feeling sick and I just needed to lie down. I plan on returning to San Jose and I will definitely be staying at the Park Inn again.

It’s a nice hotel, with easy access to local markets on the east side of San Jose. I walked every where. Housekeeping had the best smiles for me, whereas the front desk rarely did. Only one English Channel, HGTV and there was no sound on the Golf channel. All rooms have Mountain Views. Bed was comfortable, all pillows were very full/fluffy. Water was hot in shower. No decaf in the room, only at breakfast.

Very nice hotel that is centrally located. We walked everywhere during the day. Close to central market, central avenue, museums, parks, and restaurants. We did not walk around after dark due to safety concerns, but really enjoyed the happy hour at the hotel. Oscar makes some great drinks. The strawberry daiquiris, margaritas, and mojitos are delicious. We also appreciated the daily breakfast. It is very good. All of the hotel staff are very kind and helpful. We had a fantastic time and I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The only suggestions I would make is it would be nice if the hotel offered to go cups for coffee for those leaving before 6 am or just wanting to take it on the go. We saw this at some of the other hotels. Also, the pool and hot tub close too early at 8 pm. Overall, a great experience.

Staff wss incredibly rude and pretentious, for the entire duration of our stay. This was shocking to me as I have been travelling to Costa Rica for several years and it’s the only time I’ve ever experienced this. The cleaning products they use have me a migraine and the smell was so strong of chemicals. With all the hotels you can choose from in San Jose, I would not recommend this one at all.

Front desk customer service was not helpful at all. Came in at 6am and was told by a young lady in reception, I could get breakfast just to be told I had to pay by a kitchen worker since I hadn’t checked in yet. Worked in lobby until check in hoping I could get early check in, told reception to call me if there is a room available early. They never called me and I noticed they were letting people check in early so I had to ask again and they seemed irritated I wanted to check in early.

Stayed here for two nights while awaiting our flight back to the United States after driving around Costa Rica for two weeks. Room was clean & air conditioning worked well & free breakfast was excellent. Hotel is far enough away from downtown San Jose & the airport that it was not too noisy & we felt safe. If you like to walk, you can walk to the downtown area where the museums are & lots of places to eat, but it is a couple of miles. They have a good parking area for those driving cars.
