Really friendly and attentive staff. A perfect break, lovely modern room with great facilities. Food, both breakfast and evening meals were super. Will recommend and return ourselves.

A lovely hotel, very friendly and professional staff. Nice decor and a spacious room with superb amenities. Only 2 factors for not a good nights sleep were personal preferences; the bed itself wasn’t great for me, personally, as it was hard with hard pillows. But some may prefer this. Also the room is lovely and light and airy in the day but at night it was too light for me. The early morning sunlight light floods in through from the glass bathroom door and artificial light in from the hallway under the door. Overall it was a nice hotel and the staff were excellent though.

This hotel is faultless, beautiful interior, outstanding customer service. Every member of staff we encountered were friendly and attentive. The restaurant food was excellent quality and cooked to perfection. The breakfast was amazing in every way. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Beautiful hotel, the room is very cosy! The food was also good (I had dinner there) and breakfast was nice, it’s not buffet so you need to ask for things and they’ll bring it to you.

Staff were very helpful and Keep an eye on guest anticipated there needs (not standing around talking as in some places o have visited) overall a very good nights stay

This hotel is absolutely stunning. The decor is perfect and very tasteful. The staff were really friendly. The food in the restaurant was delicious. Breakfast was lovely. It was really clean. The only complaint we had was the creaking floorboards in our room… everything else was perfect and we’ll definitely look forward to staying there again. We think it deserves a 5* rating!!

Beautiful boutique hotel in the Black Mountains. Staff and service was excellent, so friendly and accommodating. Dining and standard of food was very high.

Arrived at 2pm, thankfully our room was ready for us, we unloaded our case and went out for a long walk in the very pleasant countryside, stopping at a local pub for a cooling drink, we returned back to the hotel a couple of hours later where we sat on the terrace to enjoy a drink in the lovely sunshine, the room quality exceeded our expectations , later we had an evening meal which was excellent. The hotel is in close proximity to Hay on Wye which has many unique shops, plenty of restaurants and pubs, much to occupy oneself, the staff were very welcoming and friendly, I would certainly recommend this hotel for a relaxing short break.

I don’t think I have ever been anywhere so clean! Everything was sparkling. Not a fingerprint or speck of dust anywhere! Gorgeous room with everything you could need. Breakfast options were a little carb heavy, but the eggs florentine were heavenly and the coffee to die for. I’ll be back.

Had a wonderful stay at Foyles of Glasbury. The entire place had an old country feel combined with modern quirk, it was decorated impeccably from the restaurant to the hall ways to the room itself, such thought has gone into every area. The room was lovely - we stayed in a family room which had a double and a single bed for my daughter. Plenty of room and storage space for the three of us. The bathroom was spotless and there was a very impressive selection of teas, hot chocolate, coffee, water and toffee waffle biscuits. Breakfast was one of the best we’ve ever had at a hotel - a lovely fresh continental selection followed by whatever you want cooked freshly for each guest. We were planning on eating somewhere different each night for dinner however having sampled the restaurant the first night we ate there 2 out of 3 nights. The food was top class - I had the Pesto Tagliatelle one night which was amazing, my daughter had the steak both nights as it was so delicious. The prices were very reasonable too, they had a bar menu and an a la carte menu - you could order from either. The staff were wonderful - nothing was too much trouble. They let us lock our bikes up in a secure room when not using them. Thank you to all at Foyles of Glasbury - we had a wonderful stay.
