Nice house. TV’s in bedrooms would be nice. Curtains in the bathroom with the claw foot tub would REALLY be nice. Hot water heater ran out of gas but the management team was quick to reply and was able to get it filled the next day. I’d book with them again

The home has been recently updated and worked out perfectly for our family of six adults and three children. Great location and the property around the house was beautiful. Very private with no neighbors close by. Beds were comfortable and living area was a nice size open to the kitchen. Check in and out went smoothly and we would consider this house again when visiting Durango.

The reality exceeded our expectations! Spacious, Quiet, and Perfectly Located.
We were pleasantly surprised by the generous amount of space in this listing, far more than the photos convey. Its proximity to Durango was ideal, making our last-minute booking feel like stumbling upon a hidden treasure.
Despite reading about previous plumbing issues in reviews, we encountered none during our stay, indicating that any prior concerns have been effectively addressed.
The only downside, if any, was the absence of air conditioning. However, the warmth of late May was manageable, and the house remained comfortable throughout the day.
An unexpected delight was the welcome box provided, stocked with essentials like dish soap, a sponge, laundry pods, and more. Accessing the property was simple, and the presence of a small river at the back offered a serene backdrop.
Without hesitation, we highly recommend this property and look forward to returning ourselves.

We had a great time at the property. It was beautiful and well kept. We requested firewood at one point that was never delivered but we made do without it. Ultimately we would recommend this place & would stay here again!

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful home. Plenty of firewood was provided which was extremely appreciated as it was snowy and cold outside. We had plenty of room to spread out in the house and really enjoyed our stay. Only cons-horrible water pressure and no extra trash bags.

This property has some serious sewer and plumbing issues. Toilets wouldn’t flush. Showers didn’t have water and the whole house smelled of sewer.

Beautiful property with great space for everyone in our party. Would have been perfect except when we unplugged the 10 scent warmers and had management close the three broken open windows the smell of the septic made one of the restrooms and bedrooms uncomfortable. The very helpful gentleman that brought firewood and propane said they needed a plumber to fix it, but a plumber did not come during our stay so we were stuck with the awful smell.

The Hesperus house was perfect our families vacation. Every room was unique, spacious with large comfortable beds. The family room, kitchen open concept allowed everyone to enjoy one another company. The house is a short 18 minute drive to Durango. My only recommendation is that the rental agency purchase new hair dryer, the only one all three bathrooms kept over heating. Individuals with one thick hair would never be able to get their hair dried.

My family and had never tried VRBO before, and all I can say is WOW, it was an amazing experience! It’s rare, but I feel like the home looked better than the pictures, the rooms were big, the home had everything we could have needed, and more! The home was stunning and it was only 15 minutes away from Durango! The best part about it, is unlike other similar sites, we didn’t have a long list of chores before we left. Although we did leave the home in great condition, it was nice not to have a chore list. My family and I are planning another stay in this rental and definitely using VRBO again!

the house was as advertised, the pictures were 100% accurate, the house is well stocked with a complete kitchen set up, plenty of towels, etc. The wood burning stove was lovely and the grounds were well kept. The host checked on us and was easy to work with. Our stay was relaxing and trouble free.

Great stay in Hesperus❣️ We came for the annular eclipse. Our group traveled from Northern New York State and locally near Denver. We spent a day at Mesa Verde…easy travel. Great location for the eclipse.
Loved the house…the kitchen was amazing and had just about everything we needed. Bedrooms and bathrooms were fabulous. Lots of towels and plenty of bedding supplies. Lots of unique designs to the interior. Nice touches in every room. Great soap and room scents. The property is just pretty. Lots of outdoor seating. There are 2 fireplaces and a wood stove. We did not need to use them but they look so nice. Not much for groceries/supplies in Hesperus. Stop in Durango on the way in for those things.

Bedrooms worked out well, did not realize two bathrooms where across the hall , but didn’t bother us. We never used the kitchen, but seemed to have adequate supplies. Short drive to Durango.

We liked being a little outside of Durango, but still close by for all necessities. The Kennebec Restaurant was nearby and excellent. All the activities were easily accessible: Mesa Verde, Train to Silverton, Pagosa Springs and the Million Dollar Highway to Ouray. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the property.

House is beautifully designed, and had the most comfortable beds we’ve had at a hotel or VRBO. Extra bedding, fans, heaters, etc were available. Kitchen was well stocked. Only issue was not enough towels were stocked, and it took a while of working with the management company to get some.

Highly recommend this place! We spent a week at this cozy, quiet and very spacious property. Closer to Durango then what we had anticipated it was a short 12- 15 minute drive. Very comfortable beds, large closets and newly renovated bathrooms! Great for family's with kids as there is a nice big kitchen and family room. We enjoyed evenings on the back patio cooking out and playing horseshoe and cornhole. Well maintained property and great location, we will definitely be back.

The location of this rental is off the beaten path which made for relaxing evenings after days in Durango. The house has upgraded furnishings which is very nice. We didn't lack for anything indoors. No air conditioning is needed and my family truly enjoyed the mountain air. Windows are hard to open though (some don't open at all such as in the master bedroom) but we made do with moving air in the evening. The location does need more outdoor seating areas that can accommodate 6 to 8 people but work outdoors did begin the morning we left. I myself will be anxious to see the improvements outdoors when we come back to the area.Overall...great location and home. We would stay again!

We had 8 people (4 kids - ages 9-13 & 4 adults). It was a great house with plenty of room for everyone to hangout. We had one small issue come up (that we caused) and they were very helpful and nice to fix it for us!
