Excellent service, excellent stay!

Im not one to leave a review other than just giving a rating, but this is ridiculous. There were three front desk staff working that could barely understand or speak English. There were also three other people ahead of me checking in who also had issues with communication, one of which had become very frustrated as he was trying to ask questions they couldn't understand. It seems they are able to do the bare minimum to make things function and do not care for the customer's satisfaction, just their process. Will not return or recommend to others.

Front desk staff very friendly and quick check in. Rooms are clean and bed extremely comfortable. The room has a coffee machine, small fridge & microwve. The only negative is people are smoking near the front entrance and someone a few which can be intimidating. You are in close proximity to shopping and dining plus easy access to the highway.

Everything about this hotel was positive. The hotel was clean upon arrival and the staff was friendly and was quick to get us to our room. The room was big and clean. There are food places around the hotel that is close and the shopping area is just down the street around the bend. I ended up screwing up our bookings because we were going to different hotels to watch our daughter place soccer. I ended up missing a night on the friday night. The staff was amazing and was able to let us book our room for that friday night so we weren't without a room for the night. They made it so we didn't have to move to a different rooms. This hotel was a great find. I recommend this hotel to anyone looking for great accommodations in the Halifax area. Location is 30 Fairfax Drive, Halifax. We reserved 2 rooms, when we arrived at 4 pm only one room was ready. They called us at 6 pm to tell us the other room was ready! I feel this is unexceptionable, they did not even offer a reason why the room was not ready. I feel they should have offered a free meal in their restaurant or a reduction in the bill.

The front desk staff are always very friendly and accommodating. Extra towels, no problem; early check in, always try their best; late check out, what time do you need? They've held my luggage for me. They value their visitors. Head of housekeeping (Marie) is amazing, as is the rest of housekeeping. They always have a moment to say hi and ask if you need anything. Maintenance are very efficient. Reuben has been so helpful. Sink draining slow, they are there. Keycard reader not working, there to open your door and ask if its a convenient time to fix it. And if someone's not available right away to help, Scott (manager) or Jessica (assistant manager) will be on their way to see what they can do. I highly recommend this hotel to friends and colleagues. And besides the great staff, its a very convenient place to stay. Just on the outskirts of bayers lake, off 2 major highways and lots of free parking. No need to circle the block hoping to find the perfect spot or paying for parking over and above the cost of your room.

beautiful, spotless rooms. nice place overall. only gripe is there are 7 steps to get to first level floors. which is not easy when you have 6 pieces of heavy luggage.

Great hotel, new condition close to the highway

This hotel was great! We only stayed one night but it was significantly cheaper than other hotels that we looked at in the area. It was clean, on-site parking was free and easy to get to ! Loved it ! Will definitely be back when in the area again . Thank you
