It does a job, but be warned a family suite is actually a cramped small room with three beds tightly packed in with very little space between them and restricted head height, up several flights of stairs. The room was clean but very tired, and the floor had holes in that you could feel as you stepped on them. Fortunately there was only two of us, but if we had had children with us it would have been a nightmare. As it was I hit my head on the sloping ceiling, trying not to bump into my husband, and spilt burning coffee on my hand and bed. Don't expect to get any breakfast if you are catching an early ferry to Arran, at 7.15am it was difficult to even get an apple! However all the staff were very friendly and there was ample coffe and tea supplies in the room. Overall for the price it was ok.

We stayed here with the kids and our fur baby to see the Air Show; the staff were so helpful and friendly; the room was lovely and clean and the breakfast was delicious. Had a great time and would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area: it’s right at the shore and only a 20 minute walk to the main shops and train station

Staff very pleasant. We were in attic rooms where we had to climb a lot of stairs.

Nice comfy bed. Good shower. Friendly staff. Lovely tempura but not so good french fries.

We have stayed many times at this hotel and it never disappoints us. lovely bar and social areas. Excellent breakfast and lovely staff.

The property was old and had character. The options for food and entertainment were a bit limited due to it being Sunday and raining sideways.

This hotel is in a perfect spot. It’s across from a nice boardwalk to walk the sea. The restaurant is lovely. The staff are so nice and helpful. Zoe is a lovely employee. All the staff are wonderful.

We had room number 10 - absolutely loved it, ground floor could not see the sea but facing it. Had our own little door to the outside where we had a bench fir 2! Staff super helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel is value for money, excellent food, Tracy the duty manager and her staff go well and beyond to ensure that you experience a fabulous time , We can't wait to return Thanks for all 2 John's

This place has more signs then the highway code! Don't do this don't do that, you'll be fined for this you'll be fine for that. Receptionist was abrupt On getting to the room the stench of 1980s aerosol airfreshner was so over powering i opened the window and left the room to work from the bar area. 10pm back in the room or still smelt awful Again found now signs in the bathroom on the hotel rules and charges you will face. I did eat in the bar and the food was average not terrible but the bar man was more friendly Was glad of the hot shower as i felt like it's slept in a bowl of potpourri all night, didn't take the breakfast as i wanted fresh Cheam smelling air

Small room. Draughty window which didn't shut properly. Adequate accommodation for one night stay. Reasonable breakfast cooked to order.

The staff were absolutely lovely. They were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. There were some bits, that could do with a little touch up, but otherwise it was great. A lovely quiet hotel, a minute from the beach.

Great that hotel was on the sea front . Our room had a sea view and couldnt fault the hotel or staff really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back again
