Such a lovely property. From the time we booked several months prior to our stay, all the way until check-in, the owner stayed in touch. The apartment is well furnished, very clean and well-kept. It’s in a wonderful location close to shops, restaurants and the Edinburgh Castle/Royal Mile area, as well as museums and art galleries.

We had a great stay with the perfect location for Edinburgh and the historic sights. Teh arrival was made super easy and the landlord was so accomodation to our request. We would come back anytime and recommend it to others

We travelled with our 2 teenage children (14 and 17) to Edinburgh and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Laura’s. Communication and checkin were excellent. Stockbridge is a fabulous place to stay. Easy to walk everywhere and gorgeous pubs/restaurants all around. We would definitely return.

Superb location - could walk to all main sights and areas all within 30 mins. Flat located in an excellent neighbourhood for bars and amenities.

Lovely flat in Stockbridge in a central location that also provided a bit of peace & quiet away from the crowds. All necessities were there and we had a lovely welcome basket & fresh flowers to boot! Don’t miss the Stockbridge Market on Sundays or the lovely Water of Leith walkway for a dose of nature right in the city.

The accommodation was amazing. The apartment was comfortable and had everything you could need, and Laura was lovely so you knew you would be able to contact her for anything. It was in the perfect location and easy to walk to anywhere you would want to go.

Nice clean cozy and comfortable third floor walk-up apartment. Fun neighborhood with eclectic mix of shops and eat/drink establishments. Close to bus stops that eliminate driving and parking stress while exploring and sightseeing in Edinburgh.

We were welcomed to the apartment with flowers, milk, juice, and snacks. A very nice surprise. The apartment was charming. Its location was perfect for us with a splendid restaurant immediately next door (SKUA) and others within an easy walk. The entire Stockbridge area is delightful. We found it easiest to use a taxi to get 3 of us up to the Royal Mile although it could be walked. For those concerned with such things, be aware that there are 38 steps up to the apartment. Also, the bedroom configuration is probably best for a couple with 2 children or 2 friends of average height. The second bedroom is quite tight and its twin beds are not well suited to those who are 6 feet or taller.

Everything you need in a wonderful location for Edinburgh stay!

Wife and I planned a visit to Scotland. We selected the two bedroom flat in a nice neighborhood. It was a great location and place was ideal

Loved, loved, loved the flat. Two bedrooms - roomy, airy and light. The two bedrooms backed onto a green space, so we slept to the sound of rustling leaves - so restful. Kitchen is perfectly appointed and the living room was spacious with plenty of seating. Laura was fantastic to deal with - lots of helpful suggestions and very accommodating. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

My daughter and I stayed at this lovely flat for a week. The check in process was quick and easy. It was exactly as listed. We enjoyed the location and the city.

This is a great place. I really enjoyed the rental and wish I would have planned a longer stay. My family loved it. The place was immaculate and the owner was great. The location is excellent. We walked everywhere. Even walked to Murrayfield to see a concert. I would definitely suggest this unit and location to friends. All the people were really nice throughout Edinburgh.

The location of this flat was great. We could walk to almost all of the main attractions in Edinburgh. The owner was great to work with. She communicated well and responded to our questions promptly. They provided everything we needed and included flowers, coffee, shortbread cookies and even arranged for us to check in a bit early.

Laura communicated often and quickly before our arrival and even checked in on our stay after we settled! The flat was comfortable and cozy with a lot of information available on Edinburgh and Scotland. Comfortable beds and amazing linens. Lots of steps up to the flat, but a great view of the street and all the local shops. Centrally located, it was easy to get around the entire city.

My stay here in Stockbridge was truly exceptional. The flat was bright, safe, clean, quiet and in a wonderful location. The host was so communicative and made sure we had everything we needed. I can’t wait to return.

Our stay at Laura Findlayson's flat in Old Town, Edinburgh could not have been better. This apartment was utterly charming - beautifully appointed and extremely comfortable - with modern amenities in the updated bathroom and kitchen. Laura was the consummate hostess - meeting us at the property at just the time we arrived, showing us around the apartment and explaining how everything worked. She had already put fresh tulips in a vase, left us milk in the fridge and fresh fruit and shortbread cookies (as well as tea and coffee) in the kitchen. The place was immaculately clean and oh, so comfortable. With huge windows that look out on the Old Town streets, it was the perfect blending of new and old world charm to make our visit wonderful. I wanted to stay forever! There are plenty of shops and restaurants right on the same street to get you started on your visit. It's a fairly easy walk from the Waverly train station and a comfortable walk to Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile. Our three days here were the best part of our two week visit to London and Scotland. Thank you, Laura, for a great experience. I will definitely look you up when we return to Scotland!

Fantastic, well-appointed, apartment in the center of Edinburgh. Absolutely loved our stay.

The flat was right in the heart of Stockbridge beside plenty of shops and bars and just a 10 minute walk from George Street. Very well presented and a comfortable place to spend a few days when in Edinburgh. Laura and Catriona were very easy to deal with and we will hopefully stay again when we are back in Edinburgh.

Lovely apartment but really needed a deep clean. Misleading advertisement as it sleeps 4 in 2 rooms, one double, one twin room. There were 3 in my party, yet we were hit with an "extra guest" charge??? The lady who met us was lovely, showed me around and asked if we could keep the noise down in the stairwell as they had had problems with another guest. No problem at all, but then I received a text message of the owner who asked again for us to please keep the noise down in the stairwell, which was unnecessary. We had no intention of getting drunk and causing chaos in the building. The rugs in the living room also made the floor really slippery, and the television didn't turn on or off with the remote control, you had to go in the cupboard and turn it off at the switch. My towel was also covered in bleach stains and should not have been used for a paying guest. The owner left a lovely welcome pack which was very much appreciated, however, I felt like I had already paid for it myself with the "extra guest" charge!!!

The area has a real village feel to it. Lovely walk along the water of Leith to Dean village. Also plenty of restaurants and bars for a good night out, better to book in advance as they get very busy

Had an enjoyable stay at this cosy and quirky furnished Stockbridge apartment. Very thoughtful host, nice welcome with provisions, convenient parking, nice area with lots of coffee shops and restaurants. Loved Edinburgh!

Charming apartment in great Stockbridge location with shops and restaurant all within very easy walking distance, and close to Old Town and all Edinburgh has to offer. We'll be back.

Very nice well-appointed flat with adequate supplies for a short stay. The neighborhood is very quiet, but has a few eating places within a quarter mile radius. The Royal Mile and the railway station are about a 20 minute walk away with many more restaurants and cafes within a mile of the property.

Had 4 people , worked out nicely. Very quiet and a great location to restaurants and bars. Also walked to town and to castle. We would do again.
