Great hostel! Big rooms, nice common areas, clean and close to everything. The free breakfast was amazing!

I loved everything about the property but the price was little too high for the hostel for five days stay i had to pay around 455 CAD but rest of it I loved it. It super close to downtown and staff are just wonderful, I made so many friends here! Would love to be part of Samesun family oneday!

The bar had amazing food and staff

We were so disappointed with this place! There were 7 of us that booked for 1 room and were surprised we will be sharing room with another 7 strangers! It was not clear in their website! Also they took money from my account right away, I was told it will just be on hold but they actually took the money! The front desk is not very helpful, we cancelled our stay but were not refunded because there is NOTHING that their management can do about it!! We were not even given an option! We want our money back! This place is the worst place I ever booked! Stay away from this place! I hope booking.com will take immediate action on this!

The vibe of the hostel was immaculate, the food in the bar was on point. The beds were so comfy and the general look of the place was inviting

Staff were great 👍 felt like a big family with everyone, from locals to staff to guests!!! And whoever made the muffins, SHOUT OUT!!!! they were delicious 🤤

I ended up being in a room full of only men who spelt horrible and hogged the bathroom 😂😂😂 other then that everything was great. Location was excellent. The room was clean, comfortable and warm. There was even a fire in the room. Charging points and lights with every bunk. Bathroom was in the room with lovely hot shower. Great common room. Friendly lively bar with food. Free breakfast and coffee in the morning. One of the best hostels I've stayed in. Highly recommend if your in Banff.

If I were to be picky I'd say 1 cooker and 1 sink in the shared kitchen is not enough. The kitchen was locked until 7am and the breakfast was after 8. So if you are an early riser it might be a bit of a nuisance. But there is coffee available at the garage next door. Perhaps put a coffee vending machine of some kind there? But that's a small thing. Overall it was great.

Convenient location.

Stayed in a 8 female dormitory room and was the last to arrive. All the lockers already had stuff in it (although not all were locked). Some of the girls treated the room like a dumping ground for their personal items, leaving their razor on the bathroom floor, clothes behind the bathroom door, and there were at least 2-3 hair curlers/hair brush around the sink. It was terrible and made me feel extremely unwelcome, not to mention the entire place felt dirty because of all the personal items lying around. Went to hostels in Europe before and it was not like this, not sure if it’s a cultural difference but at highly discouraged from staying in a hostel in Canada.

Common areas were nice. No need to go outside for the bar, kitchen, or reception.

Only one working fridge for all guests. some walls in the kitchen needed a cleaners attention. No second chances given. Not all beds had curtains

Great location, spacious dorm, lovely free breakfast including pancakes, friendly staff, nice and clean 👍

only thing I could fault, was that the bunk bed was VERY creaky every time one of us even moved slightly.

The hostel is so home-y! It’s an amazing little spot for solo travellers as you immediately feel at ease 💕
