Love the location, comfy and modern room with good kitchen facilities and a washing machine. Pool and spa were top notch, heated and a good size.

Parking is a hassle. Valet is expensive, alternative of parking in Te Papa was good however the staff member forgot to tell us we needed to validate our parking ticket and pay at the front desk to get the special rate so we ended up paying a lot more. Don’t use the dryer function in the washing machine, it’s a bit rubbish- clothes dried faster in the bathroom/hung up in room.

The air conditioner in the first room I stayed in was directly on the bed and so loud I could not sleep. The next day I was moved to another room where the tv didn’t work (requiring a visit from maintenance) and the hinges on some of the kitchen cabinets were badly misaligned so the door stopped the drawers from being opened without assistance. I also ordered a glass of wine from the bar to take to my room which was oxidised. I called reception to let them know but they didn’t lodge the complaint so I had to challenge the team on checkout so I didn’t have to pay $24 for a bad glass of wine

Most everything went well, location (particularly across from the museum), quality of lodging and general uniqueness (loved the art) were all amazing.

I was a little disappointed both that there was a charge, and the amount of charge, for using pay wave to pay the account.
