The game drives were absolutely amazing
Our game ranger Tayne was phenomenal. So knowledgeable and very friendly.
We saw all of the big 5.
The staff went out of their way to make my birthday special.
The food was not 5 star standard. There was no variety. Which is offered at other lodges in Nambiti.
At breakfast our baked beans were very salty. The oxtail was also very salty.
A buffet breakfast should been offered at a 5 star lodge

Breakfast was excellent, the location suited us perfectly. Dinners were exceptional.
The staff couldn't do enough for us. Our Ranger Reynhart was an exceptionally good driver, he was patient, had a wonderful sense of humour and was very knowledgable. Each drive with him was exciting and fun ! An Amazing experience! We can't wait to go back!

Secluded, overlooks the waterhole, rustic decor chic, architectural aesthetics at one with nature. Would love to be a return visitor. Staff very attentive, but discreet. Lodge exceptionally well run.
There’s nothing we didn’t like, except the erratic flow of the hot water, which always ended up with laughter.

Everything, from reception to departure the staff were excellent. Game drives were terrific, and we saw lions, cheetah, giraffe, elephants and rhino and lots of others at close quarters.
The weather at times, but we realise this was out of their control

absolutely stunning lodge. exceptional accommodation in a fantastic location. the staff were all so helpful and super nice and friendly. the standard of the food was superb. our guide Daniel was really enthusiastic and so helpful his knowledge of the big 5 was fantastic as well as the wild birds and insects that exist on the reserve. He really put myself and friends at ease as this was our first Safari. He really looked after us on our game drives. We were lucky to see 4 out of the 5 big 5 which was incredible. The facilities in the lodge and super luxurious and the suites were absolutely amazing. Fabulous pool area over looking the water hole. I would recommend anyone to stay at the lodge. It was frankly one of the best places I have ever stayed
There isn’t any negative comments I have

My friend and I loved everything about the this lodge, especially the food. All meals were glorious and very delicious with very generous portions! Kudos to the chefs! We enjoyed everything that we had.
The staff members were absolutely friendly, always willing to assist, a pleasure to be with and they made our stay wholesome and comfortable! Stay shining team ❤️
All rooms were clean and fresh. Well done to the cleaners and maintenance team.
The game drives were very fun and very informative/educational. They were fantastic! We had a short break in between our drive, in the bushes with drinks and snacks (the ranger usually stopped at the safest place with beautiful views). Stefan was our ranger/guid and he was incredible. He loves his job and he's very knowledgeable about the environment and animals. He shared a lot of interesting facts about the different types of animals that we saw. We saw lions, giraffes, elephants, zebras, rhinos, buffaloes, kudus (just to name a few) and many more as well as the different kinds of birds. This place has really made me appreciate nature more.
We couldn't use the outdoor shower because there was a snake (apparently one of the most dangerous snakes) that we saw through the indoor shower glass. Luckily all doors and windows were closed and there was nothing in our room. We called the reception and the team's response was very fast.

The rooms at the lodge were spacious and comfortable. Daniel the game ranger was highly knowledgeable regarding the animals and the Bush which made the game drives enjoyable. The game reserve itself is amazing.
Overall it was a good experience, only criticism would be there wasn't enough of a variety of food options in my opinion.

We loved everything. The entire team made us really feel at home. We have been to many big 5 parks but this was truly the best experience. If we were judging the experience they would score a 10/10 for everything. It is absolutely amazing that we could visit a place within SA and feel so safe, recieve a 5 star treatment and be showered with so much of care. We were certainly treated like royalty. It was our wedding anniversary and the team set up a romantic dinner by the pool. It was truly amazing at how everything ran on schedule. There is just too much to mention. One has to go and experience it.
Well Done Lions Valley Lodge!
We will certainly be returning.

What a wonderful experience. We loved it from before we arrived as all the communication was very clear and then the facilities were fantastic. The African bush is something special and the animal and birdlife were exceptional. The staff were very accommodating and nothing was too much. Adri and the team made it special, and Nick our guide was a blessing to have. His knowledge of the birdlife and animals was first class. Well done to the entire team.
Nothing, even getting stuck in the mud once was a fun experience :-)

Very clean and peaceful
The location and road to the lodge is quite bad

Almost everything was perfect. The accomodation, the guides, the staff - all excellent. Only disappointment was the food.
The food was not what one would expect at a 5 star lodge. On our first night we were served a massive chunk of white fish with nothing else except a tiny side bowl of salad for us to share. Massive portions of protien at every dinner and almost no vegetables, salads or carbs to balance the meal. I think meat eaters would disagree but for people who don't eat meat, this is not a place to go for good dining. Simply not enough choice and a chef who did not bother to meet us to discuss or understand our needs. I have only had excellent food at 5 star lodges before so this was very disappointing. The price we paid to stay there was not justified by the dining.

Ranger Nick excellent knowledgable and friendly
General staff very helpful and oleasant
The plumbing needs a little maintenance. Basin drainage a little slow and shower temperature a little finicky

This place is EXCEPTIONAL Everything surpassed our expectations. Decor, style, ambience, comfort, views, game drives, food, attention to detail, value for money. We loved everything about it. Special thanks to Matt, our ranger who introduced us to sightings on another level. Thanks Lions Valley, we will be back.
