Pleasant and friendly staff, large comfortable room and bed, nice view of the pond. Large bathroom with separate shower. Quiet location and plenty parking. Outstanding food in the resturant for evening meals. Breakfast generous and wide range of choice

Room was lovely and spacious, though we had selected a higher spec than basic room. Good breakfast and gym excellent.

Two restaurants at hotel but only one seemed to operate on any given night. When booking, one assumes there is a choice whereas this is not the case. Also, bar and restaurant is referenced yet both restaurants are in effect both bar & restaurant with bar area not really a bar and more of a waiting area for restaurant. Thought a separate bar that had a bar feel would work better.

Modern, comfortable and clean. Pool,spa and gym excellent. Golf course looked great but staff poor. No response to emails and lady at club house not very informative so I played elsewhere.

Main restaurant and bar with beautiful vista closed for private function EVERY evening. Which left Bistro with limited veggie options dark and dingy. Thursday evening they set up Bistro for breakfast next day as main lounge function. 90% with empty tables all set. Guest crowded into corner no view, music , tv , atmosphere. The MG convention that took command emptied the fruit juice at breakfast into flasks, took all the fruit and pastries, also made sandwiches up for packed lunch. Leaving us to ask for breakfast. Very poor.

Everything as expected, nice hotel, breakfast excellent. Rooms clean and comfortable.

We could hear rumble from I guess running machine in fitness centre in our bedroom. No secure parking, but giving the islands very low crime rate, all was fine.

Excellent staff and excellent stay. The whole package from breakfast to dinner. The staff went above our expectations Blessings for the reception and cleaning and waiters.

Although we enjoyed the hotel, when it was Mount Murray, since the refurb, the place looks fabulous. Lovely buffet breakfast in the morning. Thoroughly enjoyable stay, and would happily stay again.

We really enjoyed the food and the fact that our dog could use all areas of the hotel. The position of the restaurant, overlooking the golf course and pond, was really nice.

The WiFi could be a bit patchy and the room could have been cleaner; the outside of the sink was dirty, there was half a dozen dog treats underneath the furniture and dust webs over the heating vents. Drinks were a little expensive.

The staff were really friendly and welcoming even though we arrived very early. They picked us up from the airport, which was convenient. The golf course was in a great condition. The spa was super clean and pool a good size. I had a massage, which was very relaxing. Breakfast was included and had everything you could want. We ate in the bar and the food was very good, and not over-priced. Our room was large, clean and the beds were very comfortable. Overall, this is a great hotel for a relaxing break.

We did not have access to the sauna and steam room unless we paid £49 per person per day and that was only for a 2 hour slot. It would have cost £300 just for us to have one steam and one sauna each day we were there. Ridiculous amount of money. This was not indicated on the booking. com listing or in the booking email. I would never have booked if I’d known. Complete rip off. Gym closed at 4pm on Sunday. Never experienced such a poor deal in a hotel with a spa.

Breakfast was plentiful and varied super produce. On the Saturday afternoon we played parlour games in the hotels chill out area. It was a total blast and a bonus to our already wonderful visit.

Sausages were nice but a little over cooked for my personal taste.

The hotel is beautiful and super well equipped. The food was delicious, and they did a good vegan breakfast on request (despite being a little surprised - sausage, hash brown, beans, tomato, mushroom, toast, plus fruit salad). The room was so comfortable, the pool was lovely. And the fact that the hotel is so dog friendly is a huge bonus - it's great there is such a big fenced off green area surrounding the rooms that dogs can run around in. For the £95 per night rate we paid with breakfast included it was really great value.

I was surprised that the jacuzzi, steam room and sauna are not included in the price of the room and you have to book a two hour slot seperatley. There weren't many vegan/veggie options. We were there on a sunday and whilt the carvery was on, our only other option was a vegetable gnocchi (which was lovely) but a bit overpriced considering we didn't have the variety of options avaliable. Also I had to bring my own oat milk for breakfast despite having informed the hotel months in advance about requiring a vegan breakfast.

Nice variety of choice available at breakfast, you can ask for poached/fried/boiled eggs which are not on the buffet which is good, also fresh fruit/yoghurt etc all available. The room was large and well equipped, having a fridge was great. bed was fairly comfy and bedding was good quality and clean. The bathroom was lovely, with a choice of bath or shower., good quality towels etc. Staff were all friendly and helpful. The location seems lovely with views all the way to Sneafell from the breakfast room (on the one clear day we had) - alas the weather was not our friend on this visit but we made to most of it (thats what waterproofs are for). The location is great for exploring the island, despite the weather we managed to get out and see the places we wanted to visit. IOM we will be back

Only small downside was the freshly baked pastries were not cooked properly which was a little bit of a let down. The bin/toilet brush in the room were full of rust spots which really let down the otherwise beautiful bathroom and my personal pet hate all the tiny plastic bottles of product - which seem in direct conflict with the save our Biosphere message. We had to cover the screen on the phone because the light from it was way too bright during the night. All very minor in the grand scheme of things - but also all very fixable :)
