Nada

…
1h before arriving to the hotel I contacted them on booking to let them know I was on my way and to please turn on the AC in my room since it was 40C (~100F) outside - and I get informed that the AC has broken in the whole hotel. While I understand that something breaking is out of their control, I find it very disrespectful that they didn’t make any attempts at all to warn me about this and give me a chance to book another hotel beforehand. Ended up having to spend extra money to get a new hotel last minute and wasted my time going around town because of this.
I didn’t get to see the actual room, but at least the entrance and reception area seemed a bit run down for the price of this hotel.

Location
Very poor equipment (no chair in the room, no hang for the towels in bathroom, only 1 available socket to charge cell, no closet to store clothes, no hand soap, very cheap and low quality furniture, low quality of the breakfast)

Attention, the pictures give the wrong impression. The condition of the accommodation does not correspond to the pictures. Furniture was in need of repair, not maintained and the room was in need of renovation and unclean. The windows in the room, located directly on the street of a main roundabout in the city centre, could not be closed. It was impossible to sleep. Hard to breathe in the bathroom due to the extreme, pungent smell of mould.
Unfortunately, on top of all, unhelpful staff. I would not have booked and paid the room if I had seen it for real before. Also don't be fooled by the luxurious looking pictures of the breakfast, the food and equipment in the pictures was not offered, the pictures do not correspond to reality. The most unbelievably brazen deception I ever experienced.

nothing only location is good in the centre
Its smelly, not clean and also there is no AC as it says there is!! so we couldnt sleep because of how hot it was there were mosquitos and the street was so noisy with bars playing loud music with a bass that could be felt under our pillows! It is so old and unclean bathroom was very unhygienic also. do not recommend and for the value of the money it should be 10 euros just a place to stay. I was sooo sleepy could not open my eyes and was awake because of how uncomfortable I was and felt itchy all over my body.

The location was only the only positive thing about the hotel
I wouldnt say its a proper hotel. Its a old building with some old apartments turned into hotel rooms. No amenities, no room service, poor breakfast options. Definitely not worth. Bugs are all around in the room. They didnt change the bedsheets and towels. Windows were rusty and cannot be closed or opened. Too noisy since it was close to the road but they didnt bother sealing the windows to reduce the noise. Hot water available only in the morning.

The staff was kind and found me to another room as the one that was assigned to me at booking was cold and the heat was not working. Location is great, however the noise level at night made it impossible to sleep.
Many things: entering the room you are assaulted by the smell of old and musty pot-pourri. In the first room facing Piazza Stesicoro the heat did not work. I asked to change. The second room, facing the back of the hotel, sits over a bar and music is blasting until late at night. In the bathroom, the toilet leaked. I told the staff about it, but was not repaired during my stay.

The location was great
I was moved to another hotel 5 minutes down the road. That'd fine but they didn't let me in at first. Had to Walk all the way bavk with travel bags.
The shower was broken and the heater wouldn't warm up the room

It is centrally located, everything is accessible.
When I arrived the toilet was dirty. I said twice, they didn't clean. The room was very noisy due to the traffic outside. The window did not close properly. The breakfast was very poor. There were no blankets in the room. The bulbs in the lamps did not burn.

The only good thing in this property is the central location, you cannot qualify this property to accomodate guests.
As soon as we arrived we found the door closed, we were told later that during breakfast the door will be kept closed. The facade of the hotel is not as advertised. There was only one main light for the whole room which means that you have to switch on the whole room if you want to use the bathroom. Moreover there was drainage smell in the room and Room 10 was not painted but had part of the wall with fallen paint. The shower in the bathroom is fixed which means you have to wet your hair to shower. Loud music coming from a nearby restaurant played until 01.00a.m. Breakfast was very poor and croissants were cold. Everything is served in disposable plates and cutlery.

Breakfast was good, although nothing compared to the photos this property promotes! Room was very spacious and the breakfast guy was very welcoming.
We didn't like our room! Nothing compared to the photos this property promotes!. We stayed at room 10 and this room needs renovation. Lack of charging sockets, broken floor tiles, shower rail broken, AC not functioning well, Houskeeping skipped in day 2 of our stay!

Breakfast was continental, with both salty cheese & ham and yogurt, croissants, crostata & coffee as much as we pleased. The room was big, clean, the bed comfortable, hot water anytime you wanted, clean bathroom, towels and sheets. People were very nice and welcoming. The location is superbly positioned right in the heart of Catania, 5 minutes by feet from the Duomo, 15 minutes by feet from the train station. There are a lot of restaurants nearby and an absolutely delicious pizzeria right next to the hotel.
We had a little issue with the doors: one couldn't be quickly locked, we had to insist in using the tag, and the other using the key was difficult to unlock, however it got solved before we checked out. Also, we had to constantly ask for toilet paper. It would be great to have a stock of 1-2 pieces to avoid having to go to the reception and ask for it.

centre
it’s so much centre that it is nearby a road that pass too many cars and usually it’s stuck with traffic. car
horns and too much loudy and noisy. moroeover breakfast was supposed to start at a certain time and the receptionist did not even arrive on time and then had to prepare everything. therefore we missed the breakfast as we had an early flight

The horrible time we had in this property makes me unable to say anything nice about it.
I gave the property 2 days to reply to a message regarding a refund before writing this review in hope they would put things right. but we’ve been ignored.
This is the WORST place I have ever stayed at in my life.
Firstly, we arrived and our room wasn’t ready, so we had to wait an hour.
Then when we entered our room, we discovered right away that the door did not lock or even close property. We told management and they didn’t seem to register that this was a problem and simply said “it’s too late in the day to get it fixed”. We decided to stick it out because we were leaving early the next day, so we pushed the wardrobe (which was basically just a thin frame) up against the door.
At 4am we woke up to a man kicking our door and trying to break in. because the door was already broken it opened easily.
My husband had to jump up and push the man out of our room. The man then stayed in the hall way kicking all the doors. We called the hotel manager who said they would be there in 10mins, after 30mins he still didn’t arrive. We called again and he hadn’t even left. once he arrived the drunk and disorderly man was asleep in the hall way. he had to call the police to remove him.
We packed our bags and left and went to the airport 5 hours before our flight.
Also the bar downstairs was playing such loud music until 1am and I could hear it through my ear plugs. please don’t stay here. The owners do not care and do not deserve your money.

retro Italian feel and location
bed not that comfy, not the best night sleep I’ve had, the bars behind player music till approx 1am however no reflection on the hotel

I liked the location of the hotel. The building was a typical old palazzo converted into a B&B. We had a room with 3 single beds and it was quite spacious. The room was key-card operable and we were also given a key for the front door, which was closed from 9.30pm till the morning for safety reasons. Hot water in the shower was a good plus. Our room was a corner room and we had 3 balconies so there was ample space. Breakfast was okay, a typical limited breakfast you find in Italy.
The bathroom certainly needed a good brush up and maintenance. There was a hole behind the toilet, which was an inviting peephole for a cockroach as big as a dog. I stuffed it with tissues to block access. The entrance to the hotel certainly needs a good upkeep, also a good sweep.
