This penthouse condo currently is available for vacation rental below the standard 3 bedroom rate charged directly by Vail Spa and we provide all of the same amenities including daily cleaning service that is part of our daily rate. This single-story approximately 1800 sq. ft. penthouse has 800 square feet of balcony, a surround sound system in the Great room and a barbecue grill. Enjoy excellent views and privacy on a floor shared with only 1 other unit. Updated in 2016-no expense spared.
5 DAY MINIMUM STAY may be required.
We purchased our private penthouse condominium in the Lionshead section of Vail, Colorado after going there to ski for years. We love the place and think you will really enjoy it as well.
Our condo is approximately 1800 square feet, with 3 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, a fully-equipped kitchen, including a Mixmaster, other cooking and barbecue utensils spacious great room and 800 feet of balcony. It is located at Vail Spa which is about a 4-5 minute walk to the Lionshead Gondola. It is located across from the Vail Marriott Resort and the Ritz Carlton.
The living room has a flat screen TV with Alexa and surround sound. Each bedroom has a flat screen TV . A Trane central A/C unit was installed in 2013. We added a nice barbeque on the deck, and there is a great gas fireplace and fire pit on deck.
The master bedroom has a private bath and king size bed. One guest room has a queen size bed. The full bathroom for that room is next door in the hallway. The third bedroom has a bunk bed (queen size on bottom and twin on top) with a private bath. Every room opens onto a balcony. Since it is the penthouse, with only one other apartment on the floor, it has a very private feel.
The kitchen is fully stocked for Cooking including a Mixmaster.
The Vail Spa condo is a great facility.and in 2016 had a $10 Million renovation. The staff is very helpful and there is daily housekeeping. There are two pools and two hot tubs (one set indoor and one outdoor). They have a decent workout room, with a treadmill and some weight training equipment and a sauna. The men's and ladies locker rooms are stocked with towels. For a perfect day, work out in the fitness room, relax in the indoor and outdoor pools and Jacuzzis, steam rooms and sauna, have the hotel staff arrange a relaxing massage in one of the massage rooms, then warm yourself around the outdoor fire pit while sipping a complimentary cup of coffee, tea, cider or hot cocoa next to the cozy lobby fireplace. For even more pampering, we recommend the Marriott or Ritz Carlton across the street. They each have ski rentals and the Marriott has a dining room open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and a great lobby bar for after ski drinks and late night meals or snacks.
Other Vail Spa amenities include: complimentary wireless Internet throughout the building; guest computers with printer and Internet access in the lobby; complimentary on-site covered parking; daily shuttle trips to the grocery store; and secure ski storage. The front desk staff is available 24 hours a day and full concierge service is available.

Great property for our skiing trip
5.0 / 5.0
This is the largest penthouse unit in this condo and very conveniently located but not in a congested area; bus stop is right across the street for access to vail. Walk to lionshead central if you want. VERY well equipped unit with all the accoutrements of home including loaded pantry, coffee makers, utensils, glasses, dishes, etc.
Every room has large window viewing the mountain.
Enormous deck with BBQ and fire pit (which we didnt use), full facilities including 2 hot tubs, 2 pools (in and out), gym, spa, etc. The audio visual system is wired through the entire unit and is top of the line (you can stay home and enjoy it but that would be a waste).Bedding, pillows, towels, bathrooms, robes, etc. very comfortable. Blackout shades if you want to sleep in (again a waste). If you have kids they will fight for the bunk bed room (even my 30 somethings did).

From the moment we arrived at our condo in Vail/Lionshead, we knew we were in for an exceptional stay. The location itself is unbeatable - nestled right at the base of Vail Mountain with the gondola just steps away.
The views from our balcony/top of the building were awesome; we awoke each morning to the sight of snow-capped peaks and the vibrant buzz of the village below.
The condo was immaculate and exuded mountain elegance. The attention to detail was evident, from the high-end finishes in the kitchen and bathrooms to the cozy fireplace that became the centerpiece of our evening relaxation. The bedrooms were spacious and inviting, with sumptuous bedding that ensured a restful night's sleep after a day of mountain adventures.
What made our stay particularly memorable was the array of amenities the building offered. The spa with a steam room, sauna, heated outdoor pool and hot tub were a sanctuary of warmth amidst the cool alpine air, and the provided plush robes made our dips even more luxurious. The fitness center was well-equipped, and the on-site spa services were greatly appreciated.
The staff at the condo was remarkable, offering warm hospitality and ensuring all of our needs were met every day when we walked through the lobby. The convenience of the covered parking and the ability to drop our skis at Charter Sports near the base of the mountain added to the seamless experience of our stay.
Great place that will not disappoint!

The penthouse condo was spacious and clean. Easy walk to Eagle Bahn gondola and ski school for the wife and 4 year old. Two hot tubs and pools which were frequently utilized by our older kids. City bus stop is right outside the door. No car needed. Condo had nice extras such as paper towels, laundry soap, well stocked pantry (popcorn, spices, etc.). Plenty of coffee. Take one/leave one liquor cabinet. Very comfortable beds. The owner has had the property for many years and clearly cares about the property. He was incredibly easy to work with and helpful. The entire experience definitely surpassed our expectations

It was everything we expected- Roomy, well kept, walking distance to slopes and every clean. Smores on the outside fire were the best. I would recommend this to a family that needs three bedrooms and 3 baths

This was the best condo in which we haver stayed in Vail over the past 25 years. It is better than the photos. There is a beautiful great room with a fireplace with windows that look out to the mountains. There are several balconies. The stone and wood floors are so pretty. The decor is perfect with lots of special artwork that add to the mountain home feeling. The bedrooms are good sizes with windows that look out to the slopes. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking/eating in, although we ate a some amazing restaurants this year.
Bus stop to Vail village is right outside the door. Quick walk to the chairlifts. Also, free ski storage at Charter Sports right across from the Arabelle on the way to chairlift.. Indoor pool and hot tub were great for when it was snowing. Outdoor pool and hot tub were great too. Overall, this is a cozy convenient place to stay in Lionshead Vail.

Fabulous Condo, Fabulous Time
In so so many ways we loved our stay here with daughter, son in law and grandchildren—4 and 6. The condo is spacious, furnished with gorgeous wood furniture, great views, barbecue on deck and a communal closet filled with spices and other goodies left behind by renters. We cooked every night, saving a lot of $. The kids loved the swimming pool, and distance to Eagle Nest lifts is just a few minutes walk. The very responsive owner recommended renting skis from Vail Tech, far cheaper than other places even with Epic pass discount. A perfect and memorable 6 days for us. Thanks!!

Unit 501 Vail Spa
We thoroughly enjoyed the condo in the vail spa. Our host was extremely accomodating and the property was in the perfect location for my family to enjoy lionshead and the surrouding gondolas. Also a short walk to vail village... The condo facility was impecably clean and spacious to fit my family very comfortably!! We would love to go back next year!!

Clean and beautiful! This amazing condo exceeded our expectations!! Fully stocked and plenty of room for everyone to play cards/games, watch movies or just relax after a perfect day on the slopes!
Just a short walk (or FREE shuttle ride) to the lifts/Gondola at LionsHead or on to Vail Village - super easy! Owner offered many tips and recommendations that were PRICELESS! Highly recommend this property and would definitely stay here again! Thanks Barry!!

Loved it
Family of 6 - kids are 15/13/10 and 8. We ski at different places each year and tend to rent when we do. This has been our favorite spot. Plenty of room to spread out, comfortable beds, kids all-time favorite couch, and terrific location. We rented from Charter sports around the corner and left our skis there each night. No more than 2-3 blocks to the lift. Easy walk to the grocery, shops, restaurants or right across the street from the in town bus if headed farther away. A lot of nicer VRBO/Airbnb spots are made to feel like a hotel room - sterile and poorly stocked. This feels like your family’s ski house - well kept, has character and very well stocked. We had a great time and hope to come back at some point. Thanks to Barry for making the arrangements easy and straightforward.

Amazing Experience
We love the Lionshead area in Vail and this property is beautifully situated across from the bus stop if needed but is a short walk to anywhere in Lionshead. The pictures are accurate and the place is very comfortable and has everything you need to make coffee, cook or just relax. The TV in the living room is really big and super clear; so perfect for watching college football as we did. The unit has lots of windows, providing beautiful views in all directions. Two things I am particular about are showers and beds, and both were great in this unit. The balcony/patio area is very big with spacious views and a very nice BBQ grill and fire pit. Most definitely a place you should consider for a trip to Vail, and the communication with the owner was easy and seamless. Five stars from us!

Fantastic condo
The condo was great. Clean, nice, well equipped. Exceeded all of our expectations. My only suggestion is new couches. They are very worn and you you sink down and very difficult to get comfortable especially with a bad back. We would stay here again without hesitation!!

Awesome Stay in Vail
The condo is perfect! Very well maintained, super clean and comfortable. We loved the privacy being one of only two units on the floor and a huge balcony with great views. Little touches like humidifiers in bedrooms, plenty of extra blankets, and even clean robes make it feel like home. Communication with Barry and also the property management staff was excellent. The on-site staff was friendly and very helpful. Would love to stay here again!

Great Condo
Had a wonderful time in Vail on our winter vacation. The condo is roomy and very comfortable. Great amenities like sauna, gym, and hot tub added to our enjoyment. Also the staff was helpful and always available for any questions we had.
It's a short walk to the gondola for skiing and the bus stop is conveniently located right outside the front door making it easy to get around for shopping and dinners.

Great location - great property
Free City bus stop right outside the door. Condo was spacious, clean and convenient. The road noise from interstate is a little unsettling but since the city was built on the interstate that's difficult to get away from. All in all, it's a great property.

Excellent condo, spacious, convenient, comfortable
This is a great value, condo feels even bigger than the stated square footage (1775), we were five adults and didn't feel remotely crowded. Platinum rating easily justified -- pictures actually don't really do it justice. Very well equipped, we didn't cook but easily could have. Ceramic range, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dyer (seemed very new). etc. Large flat screen tvs in each bedroom and a really large one in the living room, hooked up for internet video. Couch in the living room is made for sprawling out on after a long day. Daily maid service which in general we've found hard to find with ski condos. Balconies are nice, we didn't use them as we were there in winter, might be a bit noisy from I70 in summer, though the condo itself is super quiet, excellent soundproofing. Location works very well for skiing, if you rent skis across the street at Charter Sports in the Marriott they'll take them down to the gondola every morning and bring them back at the end of the day and you can leave your ski boots there at night saving a bit of walking. If you bring your own skis you can leave them plus poles for free overnight at the Charter Sports location in the Lion Square Lodge North which is literally 50 yards walk to the gondola. You still have to walk there and back in ski boots but it's only ~200 yards. There's also a heated ski locker room in the condo building itself. The free shuttle bus stops literally outside the front entrance, across the street at the Marriott. Hot tubs and pools very well maintained. Staff friendly and helpful, arranged massages for two group members at short notice, dealt with delivery and pick up of luggage which we shipped ahead, etc.
One other tip: we used Fondue at Home (http://www.fondueathome.com/index.html) for dinner one night and loved it: a great alternative to trekking out to eat without going to the trouble of cooking or the expense of hiring a private chef.
If you can book this condo you should do so. You're not going to find a better value for this quality level in Vail.

No time like family time
The house was just what we needed, lots of special memories made. The view was amazing and decorated so comfortable! The office and housekeeping was very accommodating. If we said we needed something or something didn't work they took care of it right away. The only negative was they were doing a lot of building maintenance while we were there. Pulling up carpet in the halls the beginning of our week and then having to walk in the sticky glue the rest of the week and the fumes from painting were awful but once we told management they brought in fans and took care of everything. I appreciate upgrades so was a minor inconvenience. My SIL used the weight room daily. We loved the Vail area and this complex! Went to Aspen for a day and we totally liked Vail better. Don't hesitate to stay at this property, it is amazing!
