We hosted a micro-wedding at this property and could not have asked for a more perfect venue. Our stay was quiet, serene, and cozy. This home has all the comfort and amenities you need, with added bonuses of amazing location and ambiance. The house is impeccably designed and decorated with quintessential Vineyard style and charm. We appreciated all the small details and vintage/reclaimed furnishings.
We enjoyed amazing Menemsha sunsets from the beautiful upper deck almost every night of our stay. The house was expertly cleaned upon our arrival and check in was seamless. The property owners are kind, accommodating and communicative. We thoroughly enjoyed working with and getting to know them. Overall an absolutely lovely stay in a picturesque setting. 100% recommended!

Beautiful Chilmark home
We are just back from a wonderful week in this Chilmark home. It is a breath taking property, including an expansive yard, including a fire pit, and a lovely 2 level deck system. The outdoor shower was idyllic, with strawberry vines growing up the wall. The 3 bedrooms were beautiful, with comfortable beds and linen. The kitchen was well equipped, but strangely missing a microwave. The internet access was good, as my son had to work from home for a few of the days and did so without problems. There were a few "oops" things with the cleanliness (used towels in one of the bathrooms and a few other minor things) and the fridge and freezer were partially full with the homeowners' stuff, but neither was a deal breaker at all. I highly recommend this home and would love to stay here again in the future.

My husband and I travel from California to our favorite place - Martha's Vineyard every September and this year we found a truly remarkable home. Thanks to the gracious host, Richard, we had an amazing long vacation in his wonderfully appointed home nestled off a very private and quiet back road in Chilmark. We could not have asked for a more lovely location - super close and convenient to town, the Chilmark store, the Tavern, and our favorite Lucy Vincent Beach all while giving us quiet, peace and solitude. We also loved that our daily drive to Menemsha to Larsen's to get fresh fish and catch the sunset was such a close drive too.
The home itself has everything you need and was well appointed while being so comfortable and beautifully designed. We enjoyed the outdoor shower every day, the horseshoes, the outdoor fire pit and watching the stars at night while eating dinner on the back deck.
The linens and towels were all clean and we were provided with beach towels and chairs which was super helpful. We cooked at home most nights and the kitchen had everything we needed and more. There were lots of board games available and we especially appreciated the backgammon set as we played every evening.
The home was so relaxing and comfortable we truly felt at ease and at home. Richard was a lovely host who was super easy to reach and communicate with from day one and we were so grateful for his warm hospitality. We would love to stay at his home again and we can not recommend it enough to anyone who is seeking a secret gem tucked away in the always magical Martha's Vineyard.

Wonderful Chilmark Home, Great Deck, Wonderful Clean Open Space
We stayed for our usual two weeks on MV in this wonderful Chilmark home in late August, 3 adults and 2 teenage children. Danielle, the owner was incredibly responsive and helpful. The house is clean, airy and extremely comfortable. You can walk to the Chilmark Store! You have access to Lucy Vincent and Squibnocket Beaches. We have been renting for 15+ years on the Island. This was our first summer in this house and we could not have had a better experience.

This was our fourth time renting a home and Chilmark by far the best home we have rented. The house was clean and had every possible amenity to make your stay easy. the open concept upstairs was terrific and created a perfect space to relax and read or simply enjoy the view. Our kids loved the large yard. The beds were comfortable and the a/c was an added bonus!
The location of the property is perfect. Literally a 5 minute drive to Lucy Vincent Beach (the family favorite) and a 3 minute drive to the amazing Chilmark General Store. You are also a short drive to the quaint fishing village of Menemsha as well as Aquinna, the Gay Head Cliffs, and Moshup beach.
Danielle and Richard were great hosts. They responded quickly to any questions we had. They were a pleasure to deal with. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Chilmark and highly recommend it to anyone, especially those with kids.
Thank you Danielle and Richard for a wonderful stay!

We loved staying at this house. Its a beautiful location and the house itself is very “livable” with a great back deck. Sunsets were incredible. If you are looking to be up island, this is a lovely spot.

The house was really a wonderful place to stay. Some of the best features: Central Air (first time we rented a house on the Vineyard with central air). Very comfortable living and sleeping spaces. A terrific kitchen that had everything you could need, including cleaning supplies, paper towels, etc.. A Sonos sound system so we could listen to our music while cooking. Plenty of scented candles and great coffee table books that gave this warm house an even cozier feel. Comfortable seating and an amazingly comfortable vintage French leather club chair (if you ever want to sell it let me know). The whole house had a great shabby chic vibe. Nice deck with Weber Grill. Laundry room had everything you could need and a line to dry clothes outside. If you fish, close to Squibby for some excellent night fishing for Striped Bass. Our son caught a 36" Bass there. Close to beaches. Our family had a great time here and I would highly recommend this comfortable home.

Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay at the Chilmark house. We do have some suggestions to better welcome your guests. Please consider providing dishwashing detergent, dish soap, paper towels, napkins, clearer welcome instructions (how to lock the French doors and use the outdoor grill for example). We also found when we arrived some dirty pans in the oven, dirty freezer, damp towels in the dryer and a broken coffee maker. There was advertised a microwave, but no microwave in the kitchen. Our daughter and her husband stayed in the upstairs bedroom — so cute but the mattress needs to be replaced. The leather chairs in the living room also need new pads. WIth all that said, Richard was very communicative and helpful with suggestions for things to do and solutions to some of our concerns. We truly enjoyed our time on the Vineyard.`

This was an amazing house. I loved the location! Being able to visit Chilmark beaches was a highlight of the trip. The home itself was delightful. I adored the owner's taste. The shabby chic feel was warm and inviting. All the beds were soft and comfortable. The coffee table books and scented candles made staying in a pleasure. There were many evenings we were content to curl up and read and listen to music! Happy there was a Sonos box! I enjoyed and appreciated every detail of this house. We were all sad to leave!

Gorgeous Home, Well Appointed, Uniquely Decorated, Beautiful Setting!
This was our fifth summer in Martha's Vineyard. After several years of staying in Edgartown, we decided to venture "up island" and stay in Chilmark. The landscape near this rental is truly breathtaking. Everywhere you look are green hills surrounded by water. I couldn't keep my eyes off the scenery!
The home itself is just perfect.
The Chilmark General Store is just a half mile down and is fully stocked. Next door is the Chilmark Tavern - a BYOB spot with a sophisticated menu.

A lovely time in a classic Chilmark summer home
We stayed with our in-laws for nearly two weeks, and though we were a smaller group than expected (our adult daughters could not join us at the last minute), it was obvious the home easily could have comfortable managed capacity occupancy. Well stocked, spacious property, clear directions to renters on what to do, and beautifully located for a healthy long walk to Menemsha, a perfect summer stay. The beds were comfortable, and all amenities as promised. Having owned on the Vineyard for many years, and this being our first stay NOT at our one home, this home made the transition to "renters" easy and welcome. Thank you!
