Discover a contemporary urban escape at this two-bedroom Northwest Portland townhouse, a luxurious property with a private patio and an unbeatable location close to restaurants and breweries.
You'll find this lofty, two-level space in the Q21 Building, a modern and elegant building in the Slabtown neighborhood of Northwest Portland. You'll be just a couple blocks from a New Seasons Market, a beloved outpost of Breakside Brewery, countless boutiques and cafes on NW 23rd Avenue, and an incredible selection of restaurants from St. Jack to Ataula.
The interior living space is bright and breezy, with a chic industrial design that makes creative use of glass, natural wood, and cement. Bask in the central AC on even the warmest of summer days, or open the glass doors to get the crisp evening breezes flowing throughout the space.
Begin each morning with a warm croissant from St. Honoré six blocks away, and a cup of French-pressed or drip coffee in the full kitchen. This cool and compact space offers sleek appliances (including a dishwasher), an island with additional prep space, and an adjacent six-person dining table made from unrefined wood beams.
Grab a copy of the Willamette Week and head outdoors to the front patio, where you can watch the world go by from one of the two lounge chairs.
Spend your days hiking in Lower Macleay or Forest Parks, both of which can be accessed one mile west, and come home to refresh your hiking wardrobe in the private washer/dryer.
Head upstairs to discover two queen bedrooms that are connected by a bridge-style walkway. You'll find French doors that let in the sunshine in the front bedroom, a small workspace next to the back bedroom, and a sofabed for additional sleeping space in the living room.
Whether you're a regular visitor to Portland or spending your first vacation in the Rose City, you'll be in the midst of an exciting, creative neighborhood in Slabtown. Shop for your groceries like a local at the New Seasons around the corner, taste Portland's most delicious IPA at Breakside Brewery, sample outstanding Spanish tapas and paella at Ataula, and sit down for a French bistro dinner at St. Jack.
Find the Wildwood Trail in Lower Macleay Park and follow the path to Pittock Mansion, where you can glimpse an incredible view of Portland and Mt. Hood. Just be sure to leave at least one afternoon to wander NW 23rd Avenue, stopping for a world-famous ice cream cone at Salt and Straw, a sugary treat or two at Blue Star Donuts, and a lovingly made espresso at Barista.

Great location with clean, modern design, convenient parking, and close to amenities and restaurants. Perfect for exploring Portland!
10.0 / 10.0
The place was a very nice townhome with access directly to the street, fun and convient way to see NW Portland.
8.0 / 10.0
Knowing the reviews for this place was mixed I'm glad we risked it because we loved the place. Perfect location, so many places to walk (loved Mama Bird for dinner nextdoor). Loved the included parking spot, parking would have been miserable without it.
The cons: the bedrooms only have glass door partitions and don't block noise making it hard it you go to bed at different times. Bathrooms weren't fully clean. Linens were nice and clean. Management was helpful and on top of any issues.
All in all we'd stay again.

Cleanliness, private parking, convenient location

While we really enjoyed the location we were disappointed that the air conditioning did not work the entire time we were there. With temperatures reaching above 90 degrees it was very hot and miserable. Two different people came to “look” at it but it was never fixed. My son slept on the concrete floor. The other issue we had was with the washing machine not working at all the first half of our stay and then only partially working the other half (had to wring out our clothes in the sink) so we could put them in the dryer. There really needs to be larger machines in this unit. I’ve never seen a washing machine that you have to open and clothes mid cycle to get it to work. There is also a tack strip in the upstairs bedroom entry that is sticking out and like needles in your feet when you step on it. The building maintenance man that came to try to help us with the AC was very nice and tried but it was beyond what he could do. All in all I’d say we liked the area but likely would not be staying again.

Clean, comfortable, beautifully appointed space. We stayed cool and relaxed during the heatwave! A few minor things need fixing though - chiefly the light fixture/fan in the front bedroom is not working properly. Thanks for a great stay!

Such a great apartment in the middle of slabtown. Walk to eateries, coffee shops, and grocery store. Perfect location!

The townhouse was in a great walkable neighborhood.
It was clean and worked for 2 adults and 2 kids.
The problem was the check in process. We received very limited info and it took 45 minutes and a very long phone call to figure out how to enter the building. The lobby of the unit is actually around the corner on another street and this was never conveyed to us in any of the check in instructions we received. I would only stay there again because I know the process now but for new renters, beware. It's not easy!

Beautiful space, clean. Modern. Close by to tasty eats. Would love to stay there again.
8.0 / 10.0
We loved the townhouse but it seemed better suited for our home state of Texas than Portland. While perfect for the warm weather we had it seems like it could be chilly and dim during a Portland winter. Lots of great restaurants and shops nearby, a gym for our 22 year and a parking spot for our car made it perfect for exploring the greater Portland area.

Great location, cool design. A bit cold due to lack of light but overall a lovely space. Amenities and parking were helpful and nice private patio. Highly recommend when in the Portland area.

Our Vacasa rental in Portland was fantastic! Not only was the rental spacious, clean, and conveniently located, but it was also close to restaurants and shopping, making dining out and exploring the area a breeze. Despite being centrally located, it was surprisingly quiet, allowing for peaceful relaxation. We couldn't have asked for a better stay!

Overall good stay, really good location for walking to shops and food. We checked in a little late because of travel and it was a little difficult to even get inside the building, but once we were in, it was fine. Very clean. Another guest mentioned the main bedroom layout is kinda weird… it is weird, but there isn’t really a better option. If you have a sensitive back, I would suggest bringing your own pillow:) overall, would stay again !

We enjoyed the location! The unit was clean. The check in process was confusing so it took awhile to get in. It was pretty cold, all the floors were concrete, downstairs was always chilly and upstairs was really warm! We had to buy dishwasher soap, coffee, coffee filters, foil and oven mitts. There was one dish towel. These are basic amenities that most rentals stock. The main bedroom with adjoining bath was laid out strange, uncomfortable and inconvenient. Not conducive to two people with only one nightstand. The side without a nightstand had the bathroom/toilet a few feet from your face. Just not real pleasant.

It's cozy, it's clean, it's safe, and it is very centrally located to the cutest places, great restaurants, fun and eclectic bars. I'd stay here again for sure!

Stayed here with a friend and the location is perfect. Everything about the space is great, but we did fight some ants throughout the weekend. Otherwise, no complaints.
4.0 / 10.0
The main front living blinds did not close properly. The towels felt like sandpaper. Lack of normal attention to details needed for a vacation stay. None of the clocks were changed to the normal time.
8.0 / 10.0
Location is great, beds were comfortable. Easy check in/out. Parking is convenient and felt safe. Living room furnishings could be cozier and more functional. Host was responsive. Washer/dryer did not function properly. Having New Seasons and Queue nearby was great. I’d stay here again so long as I wasn’t planning to spend much time just hanging out at the pad.

What a super location for shopping, food and ease of getting around Portland and the surrounding area! Love the modern vibe of the condo with sleek kitchen, concrete floors and creative furniture and decor! Comfortable bed and having washer/dryer is helpful! Highly recommend this condo!!

We loved the location of this place. So close to fun restaurants and bars. It was also a beautiful condo with gorgeous amenities.

Overall the place was nice, clean, and in a good location. Check-in is a bit of a process as after hours there is nobody in the lobby to assist.

This home was perfect for my quick business trip to Portland! It had all the amenities in the kitchen I needed and allowed for a quiet and relaxing space in the evening. Location is great for walkable restaurants, grocery and other needs. I will absolutely stay here again when my travels bring me back to Portland!

Spacey two story unit. Great location. Very comfortable place to stay.

This is probably favorite place to stay in Portland.
1.) It is a half block from a grocery store, a pizza place, and a coffee place.
2. ) It is near 23rd which has a lot of eating and shopping options
3.) It is close to a streetcar that will take you to downtown.
4.) The place itself was clean, spacious, and the building itself was good.
All-in-all, it was a great place. I've stayed at that building twice, and I will probably choose it in the future. Highly recommended.

The property itself is great! Probably the best location for staying in Portland and incredibly clean! The only thing we could complain about is that the bed in the master bedroom is squeaky as heck!!! Even just rolling over makes it sound like you're in a rust bucket and wakes up everyone in the room! If they could replace the slats under the mattress, I think the squeaks would be gone. Could also use some Kleenex boxes cuz toilet paper just doesn't cut it. Overall, we 100% recommend this neighborhood and complex for a short Portland stay!
8.0 / 10.0
The condo is quite dark versus the pictures shown online. We had problems with the rugs sticking up which caused us to trip on them. Could use a really good cleaning (sticky table, something on wall in bathroom, floors/ steps not cleaned and we took off shoes as requested so felt the dirt, also hurt our feet on carpet tacks between bedroom and bath). Loved the location, walking distance to many restaurants and stores. Just a little work needed and the rating would improve.
4.0 / 10.0
There are pros staying here… location to shopping and restaurants, also the style of the townhome is nice.
The cons are … it’s not clean. A homeless person tried to open the door while we were there. The sheets were not washed.. Blood on them. Nails peeking through carpet, even when the owner asks no shoes in the townhome. Used tampon under the sink. Place is not kept updated.. chips in paint everywhere, glass is not cleaned, not sanitized, pillows are dingy.
I had read previous reviews and rented based on them. But it looks like it has not been kept up. But locations and the bones of the townhome are nice.

Spacious with the best location to walk to grocery store, bars and restaurants. Mattresses and pillows are very comfortable. Secure parking is a plus. Lots of space and having a washing machine is so nice on vacation.
8.0 / 10.0
This property was in a great location…just a few blocks from 23rd Street with many great shops and food options. Also close to street cars. Check in needs to be a little more specific in how to access property and parking garage.
8.0 / 10.0
It was a great location and home.
10.0 / 10.0
The property was exactly as described. Very beautiful and comfortable. Full kitchen….but the only thing is that we didn’t find the silverware and wine openers for 2 days! Other posts mentioned the same issue, but we went out and bought some of our own.
The unit’s silverware was actually located in a drawer that was seemingly ‘hidden,’ right above the oddly located microwave. We had to laugh at ourselves.
The WIFi worked excellently for us, the washer dryer combo was an excellent addition. The only recommendation I can offer would be a user manual of sorts…where to put recycles and where to put trash. We figured it out, but took a bit of looking around. All in all, a great property with fine amenities

This VRBO is perfectly situated in Slabtown and is extremely clean and well designed. It’s got all the desired amenities and the parking spot makes it super easy to come and go. We’ll certainly rebook this on our next trip to Portland.
10.0 / 10.0
Beyond fabulous location to shops and dining. Only negative is really a warning, get a small car if you rent or bring a car. Parking space is tight!
10.0 / 10.0
This place is beautiful, clean, modernly furnished, with full kitchen and perfect location in Slabtown in Portland. It was easy to access to retrieve key and enter building. It was close to many restaurants and easy to access public transportation.
The only drawback was that we had technical difficulty connecting to wifi internet and television during our stay. We called the Vacasa phone number and connected to a representative even on a Sunday, so that was nice, and the issue with the internet was corrected by the following day. We never quite figured out the TV.
All in all, an excellent place to stay. Highly recommend it. If I were to travel to portland again, I would stay here again.
6.0 / 10.0
The place was nice and spacious but one of the toilets didn’t work and even after multiple attempts to get it fixed they never came to resolve the issue during our stay. When asked for updates they said they could not provide and I just kept getting tossed around to other people who did not seem to know how to handle the situation. They said they would call back and refund us some money but I haven’t heard from them yet. We had cancelled an Airbnb because this place had an extra bathroom but I regret that now. Communication is key in rentals and Vacasa was horrible on that front.
10.0 / 10.0
Will definitely stay here again.
6.0 / 10.0
The location of this apartment is excellent, right in Slabtown neighborhood and very walkable. However, the beds were so squeaky that we woke each other up when we rolled over. The sofa bed is aTOTAL joke. Think camp mattress. There were two non stick pans that were completely scratched and even with oil, our eggs were super stuck. I’m not saying these were deal breakers. The unit was very clean. The space is a fun, modern vibe. But I’ve stayed in more comfortable, usable spaces.

Had a great stay in this very neat condo. Location was perfect for us. The gym IS better than in the photo. Had everything we needed. But biggest thank you that was unexpected with a larger company was staff that went out of their way. Thanks to Brett for all the help!
8.0 / 10.0
First off, the location of this property and the parking provided are both worth A LOT. So many properties in Portland do NOT have assigned and/or covered parking. This property is very well located and the garage space is safe. Additionally, the house is gorgeous. The reason the house doesn't get 5 stars is really due to my personal preferences.
For example:
1) The TV in the living room is laughably bad.
2) There are no TVs in the bedrooms, which is a bummer as I'm used to falling asleep to one.
3) The mirrors are all positioned for smaller/shorter people, so my husband and I had to duck down a lot.
4) The showers are small and the curtain would not quit attacking me.
5) Lighting in the bathrooms is very bad. I kept having to walk around and shine lights in my face so I could see how badly I applied my own makeup.
Random thoughts:
1) I do NOT recommend the coffee shop (Queue, I think?) in the building. Their coffee is good, but the flavorings they use taste like gasoline. Gross.
2) There are a million very nice hangers (wood and/or felt) provided by owner and plenty of closet space.
3) Wifi is strong.
4) Location is GREAT for walking around and exploring local eats, drinks, and other Portland offers.
5) Know there is a fair amount of construction noise happening as there are a million new condos going up in Slabtown.
6) Owners prefer you take your shoes off in the house; however, the sign is very small and my husband and I didn't realize it until we'd been walking around for a day or so. Whoops and sorry about that.
