The owner is extremely friendly, you feel like you're at home. The place is very quiet and peaceful, the views of the surrounding countryside, farmland, and the lake are amazing.
This isn't a complaint, this is advice for others staying here. The property is about 15 minutes outside of the main city, but local transportation can get you there, vans go starting 5am until late. At the time that we stayed here, February 2024, it cost us about 2 to 3 soles per person to do this ride. Advice for others who are going to stay here, look for vans ("combi" is the local name) that are labeled "Chucuito," other vans don't go far enough and you'll have to walk a while to get here. If you're catching a van into the city, walk down to the main road and within 15 minutes or so you will find a van. Just wave your arms and flag down vans. If you're trying to get to the property from the city, there is an interurban van area where there are lots of shared vans going to different areas. The interurban station is about 5 or 10 minutes walk south of the port, just ask locals ("donde está la estación interurban para combis?"), people are helpful. It is possible to take a taxi from the city to the property but you will pay between 20 and 30 soles. Because the property is a little far from the city, you will not find taxis to bring you into the city, so you need to keep this information in mind and use the shared vans.

Wonderful, kind and interesting host Pacha, with whom we had great conversations over the meals.
Huge lovely rooms, full of indigenous textiles. Huge comfortable beds.
Absolutely marvelous whereabouts - the hostel is surrounded by hills and meadows + has a brilliant view on the lake.
Very tasty and healthy meals.
Lots of common areas, enormous eating hall and nice big shared room to read/work/workout, with a lake view.
We absolutely loved our stay there, it was very peaceful, relaxing and warm - we instantly felt at home. Thank you so much!
No windows in the rooms. Very weak shower pressure.

Really interesting place. Location away from the city center, where it is easy to park a rental car, and enjoy some quietness. Price-quality this is really amazing, ie simple but ok breakfast and dinner included in price, and coffee+tea available at any time of the day. Interesting host, who is very spiritual, can tell interesting stories, is very helpful at any time when you need him. Host can arrange for the tours in the region (no need to go find and seek trips in Puno centre).
Poor Wif-fi, cold water in shower (a common issue in many places in Peru- but you can probably solve by asking the host, but we did not bother). When we traveled, the guest house was rather empty. it would have been nicer to see some more guests.

- Confortable bed and room
- Amazing view of the stars
- Nice staff, with lovely stories to tell. The hotel owner told me some unique stories from the aimara people.
- good breakfast for peruvian standards, with fruit salad, oatmeal, bread, tea, butter, jelly
- Cute labrador called Covidson
- I had the impression, while booking the place, that it was within Puno. That is not true. I had to pay an additional 25 soles each way to go and return, and I had to pay an additional fee for the tour to pick me up as it was not considered to be in puno
- While on the reservation it was written that it included dinner, that's not exactly true. The hotel owner was not expecting me to have dinner there, and he prepared me last minute rice, potato and one egg.
- Shower with weak water flow
