This is just a jewel box of a hotel (Riad) in the Medina but near to the main road and close to the kasbah. The staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating, and the property is just beautiful- a work of art.

Such an incredible Riad. Beautiful accommodation, the roof top pool and facilities were gorgeous and very unique. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the location is perfect - walking distance to everything.
I would highly recommend Dar Shâan.
Wifi was a little slow. But that is reaching to find something we didn't like.

Superb Riad in the heart of the Medina yet easy to get to. The problem with all these Moroccan cities is that if you want to stay in the Medina and are driving you have to find parking. This can be very difficult but is not the hotel's fault.

one of the most beautiful Riads I‘ve been to in Morocco.
rooftop pool is quite unique and something you don’t find elsewhere in the Medina of Rabat.
staff was more than friendly - the house- own restaurant served traditional Moroccan dishes, just delicious.
highly recommended.

Excellent riad in the very heart of Rabat's medina, effortlessly blending traditional decor with more contemporary design.
The rooms are wide and comfortable, with all expected amenities. Good breakfast, and nice rooftop terrace with a tiny pool.
Prices perhaps slightly above average, but we got a very good deal. Highly recommended.

the hotel is situated near kasbah, its very beautiful inside and the pool is lovely. there is an elevator which we appreciated. the rooms windows open to interior courtyard and they are quiet with a nice and big showers.
the staff weren't that much informative and not always around. we thought the hotel has a parking but there is a public parking nearby which is free but there is always people around asking money to park.

Bathroom in this particular unit is accessible by climbing stairs to a second landing within the unit. Careful climbing in the night.

Location room size.
A bit pricy

The wifi in the room was unusable. The manager said it was because of the general telecom network, but since there were no separate routers in the rooms or floor, it was logical that in the rooms there was very weak signal causing interruptions every 5 minutes. We asked other visitors in other rooms and they also had very poor wifi. Very sad that such an expensive ryad fails to offer stable wifi in the rooms.
Smell in the bathroom from the shower drain.
Noise outside from the busy alley in the medina, very poor window insulation.

We stayed only one night at this Riad and enjoyed everything it had to offer. Check-in was smooth, the room was clean and spacious, the Riad is very well maintained.
Breakfast is modest but good, similar to any other Riad we have been to. Dinner was also very good, the Tajine is a bit small but was delicious. We definitely recommend staying in this Riad during your visit to Rabat.
Everything was good. We would have appreciated if the waiter told us that the Tajine is small (during dinner) as in any other place the Tajine we ate was very big and as we shared it we ended up a bit hungry after dinner. But anything else was spot on.

Upon arriving we were greeted very nicely by a female staff member. Unfortunately her name escapes me now but she was so nice. We had a lovely cosy room. Nice bright colours , comfortable and a great shower. The room was nicely decorated. We payed 88 euro for one night. The courtyard was stunning and it made the place. We didn't use the swimming pool as it was to cold and we stayed late December. There is a lovely rooftop view that overlooks the city and terrace to relax. The breakfast was great. Overall a very positive experience.
The rooms were a little small.

Beautiful Riad. Wonderful staff. Great food. We had breakfast (included) and dinner (extra). It was all very good. I want the cookie recipe. If I had more time I would want to work with the Chef to learn. Comfortable beds (firm, not hard) and good linens and pillows. Great location. Easy walk to Casbah, beach, Medina, Gardens and Hassan Tower. We really like Rabat. Sadiq at the front desk was very helpful, cheerful and kind. A gem.
Only drawback was wifi. Had some problems connecting. Was a bit slow. Seemed to improve when they reset the router. I would still stay here again without hesitation.

This was the only riad we stayed at that had an elevator!
The room was lovely and the whole place felt very nice and modern while still keeping with the Moroccan riad aesthetics.
Staff were fantastic! Shoutout to Leon and Faten who were helpful and sweet.
