une très belle étape qu'on aurait aimé prolonger

un très bel établissement. J'ai adoré cette maison, des coursives, des terrasses et nous n'avons vu qu'une partie. Nous avons malheureusement pas pu profiter pleinement des lieux car pas très en forme. L'emplacement est parfait, au calme mais proche de la médina et des quartiers animés. La chambre était grande, propre, bien agencée. L'accueil d'Anne Sophie était très agréable. Très à l'écoute et disponible. Un beau petit déjeuner très varié (auquel nous n'avons pas fait honneur, malheureusement encore). Établissement à conseiller.

Walkable luxury with a bathroom you won’t want to leave

This is a gorgeous historic dar conveniently located at the top of the Medina, near the tourist sites. In 8 minutes, you can walk to the beach to watch surfers, kasbah, fortress, Andalusian Gardens, souk, and waterfront to watch families hang out or take a boat across the river. If you’re game, it’s an 18-minute walk from Rabat Ville train station; otherwise, have a taxi drop you at Moorish Atelier (a tiny restaurant on Avenue Laalou, the only access road, between Rue Sidi Fateh and Avenue Mohammed V). It’s a 2-minute walk into the clean, historic Medina down quiet Sidi Fateh Road (or a 4-minute walk down busier Mohammed V Avenue - a good place for snacks). The dar is designed around a gorgeous tiled courtyard that holds one breakfast table; the other tables are tucked into nooks off the courtyard. Breakfast is coffee or tea, fresh OJ, yogurt with fresh fruit, eggs to order, 2 kinds of Moroccan breads or crepes with honey, jams and soft cheese. Four rooftop terraces with different seating configurations and an upstairs TV room provide common areas. I stayed in La Belle Endormie, the topmost suite with a private outdoor seating area and a stunning bath suite with clawfoot tub and separate shower room, all decorated with stained glass and ornate tile. I had to force myself to leave my room and go explore Rabat!

I was stressed about withdrawing and carrying a large amount of cash (DM is pricey and doesn’t accept credit cards), especially as the ATM machines at the Casablanca train station weren’t working (luckily, the one at the Rabat train station was). It would be nice to provide afternoon tea/sweets or at least all-day beverage access. The owner sent some travel suggestions via WhatsApp, but it would have been nice to have a manager or concierge on-site to recommend places and help with reservations (though maybe I just missed out because I don’t speak Arabic or French - the staff are certainly very nice).

If someone is looking to stay in a Moroccan historic dwelling, they should choose this beautiful ria

This ria's beauty is a treat to the eyes. Wherever we looked, we found plants and decorations that enhanced the general atmosphere of this historic riad. The zillig (tiles) on the walls, floor, the post bed and furniture made the stay in this riad a delight.

very nice accommodation in Rabat medina

Clean room, not much space but very good organized (eg toilet was separated from the shower). Awesome view from rooftop. Free parking close by.

Slight nasty smell in the toilet. Very sensitive to noise from the inner yard (but it didn’t bother us).

A wonderful relaxing stay in a convenient location

Greeted with a very warm welcome by the staff and had a wonderful conversation about the history of Morocco with Mariam. Amazing location, very close to the beach, convenient for watching sunset. The room was wonderful, spacious and comfy. Rooftop with wonderful views. An absolutely amazing breakfast.

calm stay and warm vibes

Love the decor and the calm vibe it brings. beautiful tiles and white walls with sunshine has to be my favourite part of the riad. Miriam and another lady (i forgot the name sorry) are super kind and helpful, giving me warm weclome and of course some greeting mint tea! my room is nice and clean with a unique layout and blue walls; Breakfast are delicious and freshly made. i love it

Very good

The riad takes you back in time with it gorgeous moroccan andalusian architecture and the excellence of the moroccan zellij, wood and plaster craftsmanship. I stayed in La Sultane suite and i was so satisfied with the vastness and the cleanness and the beauty of it. The staff was so kind and present and the breakfast was good.

An oasis in Rabat

This riad is exceptionally beautiful - from the gorgeous rooms to the tastefully decorated quiet spaces for guest to relax in. Everywhere you look is a feast for the eyes. Nisreen (host) makes sure your stay is comfortable and takes care of every little detail.

Superb

We had a wonderful weekend experience at Dar Mayssane. The property is ideally located in the Medina. The riad itself transports you to a different world. The decor, the breakfast, the bed, the welcome and Anne Sophie´s recommendations were all fabulous! Merci encore!

charming place in the heart of Rabat

The Dar has a fantastic location in the heart of the city. The team and the house have lots of charm in a traditional house with flair. Good communication with the team before arrival.

In the room was lots of ants which came into the bed as well. Some of the linen had stains on them too. But otherwise the room was in lovely condition. The terraces were not usable when we stayed.

This is a traditional Riad with a central courtyard and is beautiful. Breakfast was delightful in a room off the courtyard. Host is very charming. very close to the Medina.

Difficult to find down the backstreets, but again this is typical for a Riad. Don’t expect locks on your bedroom doors but I felt that it was secure and safe

Beautiful riad, perfect location, very friendly

The really beautiful room with a spacious shower and a freestanding bathtub. The bed was very comfortable. The Riad is centered in the Medina and you can park only a few meters away. Everyone was very friendly. Breakfast was great!

A very authentic Moroccan Medina house in a great area to experience authentic Moroccan life.

The room was very authentic and the location of this gem of a Bed and Breakfast was perfect. If you want to see the authentic Morocco, this is the place to be.

To be honest, nothing about this place or its location or facilities was bad enough to comment on.

Beautiful Riad in the heart of the Medina.

Nesime was helpful and prepared delicious breakfasts. The decor is romantic Moroccan and the location is convenient.

Although we felt safe, the room door did not close fully so could not be locked. The room could have been cleaner, including the bedding.

The guesthouse as a whole and especially the room “La Belle Endormie” was just perfect. Beautiful, cozy, a great panoramic view of Rabat from the top of the terrace, and a delicious and traditional breakfast. Plus, it was easy to locate, being close to a main gate of the medina. I will definitely stay here again next time I’m in Rabat!
