Pretty property in a nice location
They use the venue for rowdy events like bongo bingo, not at nice for a romantic break
2.5
The pool was lovely, along with the staff who did all they could. We were at an event, the room was absolutely beautiful, and the waiting staff were excellent.
The bathroom in the first room we had was dirty, we reported this and they dealt with it immediately. Rooms are dated, chair broken and lightbulb out in bathroom. We were not aware that you can take dogs to the hotel-there was one in the room next to us barking which we were unhappy with-hotel dealt with this immediately and we changed room.

it’s obvious history and good looks.
the service was so slow in the evening. staff were stood around chatting and we had to seek staff out to get a drink from the bar as did other people. We ordered a drink from our dinner table and waited 20 minutes, we were the only couple in the restaurant 🤷🏼♀️
Breakfast however was a different story. again we were the only ones in the room but we were so well looked after. the 2 lads were brilliant.

the venue was fabulous
some areas looking tired

The room was spacious and quiet, this despite a wedding taking place on the night. The surroundings were very nice, very peaceful and away from the hustle and bussle of the city.
Breakfast was a little confusing, you had to be served hot food in the hall buffet style, whilst if you wanted fried or poached eggs they had to be ordered from the kitchen and came separately.
3.5
peaceful and quiet location, perfect to get away from city, old style rooms nice and clean
very little gym section (but enough to do little workout)
we had a bad smell from toilet (fixed after first night) and very loud radiators (was hot even when they was on 0) - that means we had to have our window open all night as it was too warm to sleep. swimming pool/spa floor needs redoing for sure.
Ohh and road leading to carpark - very bumpy so I wouldn’t recommend coming with lowered car as you won’t make it through
4.5
Staff very friendly and helpful, nice venue for event I was attending. Room comfortable and clean.

I loved the view i loved the room we stayed it was very clean the staff was very very friendly they were very nice. The pool was amazing!
We were disappointed with the food menu as there wasn't much option to pick. There wasn't that much for the breakfast either.

In nice grounds and convenient for Warwick University. Pleasant staff on reception. Lots of car parking although quite full and had to park in overflow a couple of times. I suggest offloading before parking as car park is gravel so dragging wheeled cases could be annoying if you are not parked near. The hotel has a swimming pool, jacuzzi and gym (I think).
Breakfast was expensive so we didn’t eat there. Room was quite noisy as we were in the annex and we could hear the jacuzzi or something. It was switched off in the evening but would come on again early in the morning. Room was hot despite having the window open all night and it’s being very cold outside (February). Bed was ok - it dipped a bit in the middle.

lovely old building, location was good grounds were ok
long wait for food, food wasn’t great when arrived and was expensive, lacked attention to detail with cleanliness

Staff were all very professional and eager to please. Ideal location for the NEC
Food in the restaurant was lovely but very expensive and a limited menu. Bedspread was stained so we had to remove it. Hairdryer didn't work in the room. No plug socket by the bed.

All the staff at the hotel were so friendly and made a special effort to make their guests welcome. At the poolside the attendent brough to us drinks of squash - having been in their steam room these were greatly received. On walking through the bar for the first time heading to our room the bar staff have us a warm greeting. At dinner the resturant manager was so helpfull and enthusiastic to tell us about the local places of interest which we found very usefull in planning our day out. The resturant food was excellent - sitting by the open fire we were made to feel special.
Could not fault the hotel - just take care if booking at the weekend, whilst quiet during our stay I could see some of the hotel rooms close to the wedding marquee being a little noisy.

Bar needs to be better. Poor choice of drinks.
Breakfast only allowed one sausage per guest and only scrambled egg!

The hotel has a lot of character it note modern but its beautiful and peaceful.
Though the hotel is lovely the staff are the best part, caring, kind and they work really hard. It was lovely to see a group of people show so much care to each other and have fun between themselves. Made the visit.

Great building, nice grounds
Room was quite warm during the night even with the air con unit on. We stayed here for a gig in Coventry, but getting a taxi to come that far out of town when it was very busy was difficult. Hotel staff were very helpful
3.5
lovely place with nice gardens and super staff
room was a little dowdy and as a very tall person the shower and general ceilings are a little lower than were comfortable. likewise the bed was a bit short. for an average size person was great but as a tall one it could feel a little cramped
