There was almost no Wifi in the room and when I asked the receptionist why it's so poor she said because they don't have wifi in their rooms and that I had comes in the common area which was very inconvenient for me. She also shut down the common area at 11 pm because she had to leave so I had to stop what I was working on which was time sensitive because I no longer had wifi. She asked me to leave as she was shutting down. I find that very strange, suprising and inconvenient. Which hotel doesn't provide wifi in their rooms these days?!

Telefon der Nachbarn hat man recht laut gehört.

Nice, quaint older hotel with charm but also clean modern amenities. Great views!

The hotel is located on the edge of town with great views of the fjord one one side and the town & another fjord on the other side. The room is comfortable and easy to access. The staff was helpful and friendly. The restaurant was convenient and we had a delicious evening meal. Breakfast (which was included) was great!

A pleasant and comfortable stay and ideally placed for an adventure up Trolltunga.

A very warm welcome and a great breakfast offering. A simple room delivered everything I needed for the couple of nights I was based there.

No food available after 9pm.

Superb

The Lady at the front desk was very helpful. Awesome service, breakfast is good. Rooms are clean. Location to the start of the Trolltunga trail is about 25min. drive. If off season, need to plan a car, or find a lift to go to the hike :)

Basic rooms are old dormitories. They worked for us as we were mainly there to hike. Also, wifi does not reach 3rd floor and should be upgraded to a mesh router to avoid this issue.

Gets the job done, but without much else.

Good location right by the river and and overall quite clean. Also great breakfast.

One shared shower and one shared toilet for the whole floor, room was extremely basic and small.

Room was clean and good. Breakfast was good. We had dinner here which although a bit expensive, was very good. We had booked a shared bathroom which is in older part of hotel.

Outrageously expensive and unwelcoming staff. Will try elsewhere next time.

clean and modern hotel. Room was spacious. Convenient parking space. close from Folgefonna national park (5 km to the start of the hiking path to the base of the glacier)

Reception staff was unwelcoming bordering on unpleasant, room had view on the parking, limited equipment (no safe, no minibar, no wardrobe, only one chair to sit) ; far from the village. Village has no charm as this is industrial. All this for an outrageous price.

Location; room with a perfect view on the river. But at the same time the water was very noisy when the window was open.

The bed was absolutely too soft and the room too hot.

The room is clean with good water view. The restaurant is very nice, new, modern and great view. Service is good, people are nice.

The room is very tiny. We have to pay every thing up front. Not at the end of stay. This is different from other hotels.

A bit overpriced compared to the rest of our stays. It’s really a hostel not a hotel.

Breakfast was good, with a large selection. Lovely views. Nice food at the restaurant.

No mirror at sink. No side lamps. Shower had no curtain and didn’t fix to the wall.

Great location for Trollunga hike

This is an excellent location for the Trollunga hike. Amazing breakfast breakfast starts at 6:00 so if you are reserving a parking spot for the hike you'll want to make sure it's at least at 6:30 so that you can make the 25 minute drive there and still get breakfast. Are three kids stayed in a room with a bathroom that was extremely nice my husband and I stayed in a separate room that was just too small beds and no bathroom. All were very comfortable and the bathrooms were extremely clean

The price was higher than most places we stayed at in Norway but that could have just been the area

Expensive for what you get. Perfect location for the Trolltunga hike though.

This hotel is perfectly located to do the Trolltunga hike. The rooms offer a nice view and the breakfast was okay. The drive into the town center is less than 5 minutes and can be easily done on foot as well.

My main complaint is that the rooms are not equipped with blackout curtains. With the sun rising as early as 04:00 during the Norwegian summers, a room as bright as day that early in the morning is devastating for a good night sleep. Most tourists simply aren't used to such day&night cycles. Replacing the curtains doesn't have to be expensive, and I'm convinced that all guests that aren't from the higher regions of the northern hemisphere would enjoy this particular comfort. =) The room was clean, but it could definitely use a facelift. The hotel only offers Wi-Fi in the lobby, so its extremely slow in the rooms (if you get any reception at all). The staff seemed uninterested, almost rude, during out check-in. The senior lady that was running the reception the next day was friendly and professional. So I guess its kind of a 'hit or miss' regarding the staff. This hotel is quite expensive for what you get. During our trip we had -way- better rooms for far less money, even in popular areas. The hotel is clearly a backpackers hotel, which is fine, but not for the price/night they're asking. It was okay for a one-night stay, but we would have preferred another hotel in hindsight.
