Charming old hotel very well designed.
4.3
Beautiful hotel, with antique furniture in relaxing area. Nice patio outdoors with view on lake. Good location. Amazing food. Renovated barn is part of the hotel and has family rooms for 4 p: spacious and super modern.
Basement has heaters for hiking boots and a washing machine.
Breakfast was delicious, staff super helpful.
Nothing.

We stayed with a family of four in a family room in the barn. The rooms were very spacious, new and clean. The hotel itself is a beautiful historic building with a very good restaurant. The hotel is located close to Loen and Olden, with lots of things to do.
The hotel is located close to the fjord but between the fjord and the hotel is a road and a parking lot of a truck company, which isn’t ideal for the view.

Breakfast & Dinner
4.3
Very nice, stylish, family driven type of hotel. We stayed in family room in BARN part. Comfortable beds, bathroom with modern shower.
Breakfast very good with wide selection of home made products. Recommend to stay.

The bfsk was awesome. The couple that own it were so kind and sweet. I hope they continue to do well. I loved how well it was decorated. We stayed in the barn and it was great.
Absolutely nothing did I not like.
4.3
It was historic and quaint with great character. it is an authentic hotel going back over 100 years.
what was outstanding was the food in the restaurant. risky unexpected Michelin Star quality and with booking just for that experience.
The staff were really lovely.
We had a suite that was really cute whilst having a fire escape hallway running between the bedroom and the bathroom was weird. The place is vintage and so some of the modern conveniences like coffee/tea facilities in the room are missing. The bedroom was a little cold with no obvious heating but we didn’t ask for a heater.
We’re we’re on the second floor and the sitting area window looked out onto a veranda that was apparently accessible by the general public from the downstairs outside. After having someone find themselves awkwardly staring at us through our window we were uncomfortable using the bathroom that also had a window. A curtain/blind in the bathroom would be an obvious solution.

As a retiree, I love the classical decorations and homemade foods. The family owned hotel is beautiful inside and outside. The rooms are much bigger than normal hotels, and the ceiling is high.
Possibly because the room is very large with high ceiling, the heating was not very effective.
4.3
It’s so cozy and charming and the owners are super nice, they go out of their way to make your stay comfortable.
4.3
Beautiful historical building with good maintenance. Feel like you’re living in a movie scene. Staff are nice.
4.3
Nice room and very nice dinner
4.3
Very friendly staff, and their on-site restaurant with three course menu plus breakfast very wonderful.
4.3
It’s a nice boutique hotel surrounded by woods and water. A quaint interior making use of a historic building was very nice. Breakfast was also good.
4.3
It is easy to walk into Stryn from the hotel. There is parking at the hotel for free. Quiet location.
It's true that the view is over a trucking facility - but it was still a nice place to stay for the night. I found it quiet and comfortable. I could walk into town for dinner and I also enjoyed the front porch. Easy drive to Loen Skylift.

the rooms. the stuff. location
from the reviews I read, I was expecting a better breakfast.
4.3
location, red house rooms size is excellent and rooms were clean and new

Very nice place to stay, all description read are correct and true.
We didn't have dinner at their restaurant but the breakfast was good and with a lot of items to choose.
Room was big and confortable.
Just a small point. In our room (i don't remember the number) the button to switch off one light was out side the room (in the room's aisle)
4.3
Very charming historical hotel, large rooms and comfortable beds, with nice views of the fjord and easy to access. The food in particular was exceptional - both the dinner and the breakfast were fantastic. Very nice and friendly staff, who gave us a lot of tips about hikes nearby.
the room sound proofing could definitely be improved, the walls are paper thin and we could hear everything that was happening in the next door room - our neighbors started talking at 5 AM which woke us up immediately.
4.3
Free Bikes and a balcony in our room
Our room was facing the street not the lake, there is nothing to hang on the door in order to tell them not to clean our room.. breakfast was simple, this was more of Bed and Breakfast not a hotel
4.3
very old
it’s very old and doesn’t match the price at all

We had a wonderful stay en route to the Western fjords: we cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, it's just so tasteful and comfortable and unique. Stryn is also lovely, situated beautifully with some good restaurants. The hotel offered a wonderful breakfast with local and self-made products.

The Hotel was not available for our Reservation
We had to go to an Outside Facility away from the Main Hotel.
Was very old and not accommodating
I would like to petition for a Full Refund

The staff was friendly and dinner at the hotel good.
I did not expect the hotel to be on a busy road. The single room was uncomfortably small and without a rack to put the suitcase on.
4.3
Cozy hotel, owner and staffs are very friendly. Breakfast and dinner were also great! Location is only 10-15 mins walk from the bus station but it's so calm.

Beautiful old house with a lot of charm
The loud road and view on a truck parking lot did not make it nice and quiet

it was a lovely place full of atmosphere
