I knew before I booked that there wasn’t an open restaurant within the building, and that didn’t bother me at all.
The bed was like sleeping on a cloud, didn’t want to get up!
The man at check in was really nice, showed me to my room- offered to carry my bag.
Nice little touches in the rooms, bottled water, chocolate biscuits.
Very quiet
Overall the room was a bit dated (other than the bed) and the bathroom wasn’t any better.
Obviously used and dirty toilet brush in the bathroom, and you could see by looking that it was dirty with bits of loo roll on it- really off putting everytime I went to the loo.
Last person in the room was obviously really tall- the shower head was so high up and I couldn’t reach it to move it! Perhaps when cleaning the room, these could be moved to a regular height?

Friendly welcome, clean and WiFi works
The outside could just do with a little love.

That it was 10 minutes away from our Job that we are on for the next 2 months
There was no hot water at the property for the first two nights of our stay, booking.com said there was a bar and a restaurant but both were not open all week, the air.con did not work in the rooms, when asked about the hot water situation saying I would go to a gym and get a shower they lied to me that it was working very very disappointed used to stay here and it was really good;

Staff was helpful.
The hotel was dirty and lacked maintenance . I was checked into a used room.
Room had dirty sheets, used coffee cups, full bin. I asked to be given a different room but they said no other room was available and they tried to clean the room but it still wasn't good enough. I had to wait over an hour for it to be cleaned and I couldn't wait any longer.
The milk In the room was stale as well.
I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK THERE!

Location
Upon checking in I was told there is no evening food or drinks available nor would there be any breakfast service ! My electronic room key didn’t work ! Fortunately there is a petrol station with a shop nearby. Unfortunately they had no sandwiches left - need I go on ?

Bar & Catering Facilities Poor
2.0
No warning that the bar and restaurant were shut and too late to get back in the car. Had to get a sandwich from the petrol station next door - after a 6 hour journey.

clean and appropriate location.
no food as advertised.

The local was brilliant to get to the local village. It was easy to communicate with the management of the hotel to arrange early check in for multiple rooms under different names
We had 17 rooms booked for multiple guests for 1 or 2 night stays over the weekend. The guests arrived to be told that there was no restaurant and bar facilities available. Some had travelled 3+ hours. The website didn't have any information of this issue, nor was anything said via email when arranging early check inns. Half the guests commented that the beds were very hard and uncomfortable

Easy checking in.
Bar closed and no alcohol sales currently. Being in a remote location this is a shame. You’ll need to go to the service station to purchase alcohol or bring your own

Location suited us, room was excellent
Food and drink. No cooked breakfast available or food and alcohol sales. If this remains the case we will be unlikely to stay there again

Changes in ownership recently have affected some services but the staff were very welcoming and helpful. Rooms are spotless and it's clear that upgrades are taking place. Gorgeous views and great location for travel. Nothing negative to say.
2.0
comfortable bed and good shower.
Had to wait 10 mins on arrival for a staff member to appear and grunt at us whilst chucking the key at us!! No breakfast or food served at all and hotel generally grubby.

Having stayed here a number of times it met all our expectations. Bar meals were excellent as usual, room clean cosy and tidy

Very helpful staff and was made to feel welcome.
The chef was not on duty due to illness. Shame because the food is usually very good here.

When I looked at the website it showed a cooked hot breakfast but after I booked the breakfast it then stated that a cold box breakfast was going to be supplied. I would not have booked if I had known there was no hot breakfast. The website was not showing the true facts.
The cold box breakfast
