breakfast was excellent, room was up to date and clean,
parking, got blocked in one morning but was quickly sorted.

Nice environment, walking distance to the city centre, good breakfast
The room and bathroom look kind of shabby.

Lovely hotel and very well maintained, staff were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble.
My only slight issue was that the room was very warm we often had to prop the door open to let in fresh air as the radiators were on so we had to turn these off.

Quaint
Our room was very smelly, had to have the window open, smelt of sewage. The room wasn’t great, it had a hole in the plaster and blood on the wall.

The staff and the breakfast were good and he location extremely good with easy walking into the town. The gardens and the view of the river were great - a just a pity we couldn't see them from our bedroom ( see below) Parking was good too.
I was shown room 3 which was lovely with views of the river which would have made a big difference to our stay if it had been offered to us.
The room - apparently the only twin room in the hotel was rather joyless - no pictures etc. It had an opaque window so no view - our view through the 3 inches we could open the window was of the roof! The room had steps up and down into the bathroom and no easy chair- not good for an older client! The wi-fi was impossible to get a link to, despite the kind and persistent attention of the receptionist. We ended up having to go into town to get a link in Starbucks!

the breakfast was the best I’ve ever had in a hotel! tasty, good choice, fresh and calm environment with beautiful view
there is nothing bad to state

Limited bar selection & small meal

It is an obviously very experienced setup. Everything ran like clockwork. The rooms are so comfortable and clean. The breakfast was great. I drink coffee but not tea. Everyday the coffee sachets were replaced (this has not always been the case in other hotels I have stayed at). The surroundings are great and it backs up on a river (Thames). I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The gluten-free options were rather limited for breakfast, despite having flagged this up when booking. However, the staff listened and responded positively in addressing this for day 2.

Room had a lovely view overlooking the Thames, light and airy. Good breakfast choice. Staff happy and helpful, really enjoyed the stay. Feels family run and a personal experience. Would book again.
The bathroom was really hot and there was no way to reduce the heat!

Cleanliness was good. Breakfast was nice. Staff very nice. Location very good.
Evening meal very disappointing for some of our family. Hotel had run out of fish and prawns, so now alternative from the burnt burger was available. Poor waitress was getting no help from the chef. How she kept smiling goodness knows. No non-alcoholic wine available.

Great location and building looks beautiful from the outside. Spotlessly clean.
Greeting when arriving at 12.00 "Well you can't check in now. Check-in is only possible at 2.00pm". Made to feel most unwelcome for daring to say hello I'm here.
Very basic, spartan, Premier Inn standard of room at twice the price.
It appears to be government/science foundation owned (wifi is .gov) so probably more a conference place at hotel prices.

Room was nice and clean.
Dinner and Breakfast were excellent.
Location was ideal.
There was no WiFi. I could not find any WiFi Sever available on my phone, nor any notices advertising any WiFi Service.
If the was WiFi, it was not obvious.

Nice room and peaceful apart from continuous hum, from possibly heating.
Could not get room cool even with windows open, bathroom was like a sauna and even with heated towel rail switched off, room still stayed hot, suspect underfloor heating.

Great location lovely breakfast

Location was delightful. Staff were very helpful. The breakfast was very good. The bed was comfortable
The hotel was very difficult to find. The corridor and room smelt. The room had insufficient sockets. There was a defective table lamp in the room. There was a very loud event on in the hotel. We were meeting up with friends also staying at the hotel, but there was nowhere to go for a chat and a drink.

Arrived for breakfast at 10.30. Food was tepid and items had run out. Staff seemed more interested in turning the room around for lunch.

very nice area great buildings
super thin walls you could hear everything in the rooms around you as if they were in your room so bad. So many fire doors to go through to get to room and they are heavy to open when you have bags with no assistance either

Location to town and value for money
Break fast ran out at 9.15 and took until 9.35 to have a cooked breakfast we all now that’s the busiest time and the waiting staff and kitchen need to be more proactive not inactive on pick times

The hotel is in a beautiful location and very handy for my worklplace, so that's why we decided to stay there.
The room (main house) was in poor condition - mouldy shower, cracked ceiling, noisy bathroom fan, flickering main light, inadequate lamps, functional feeling to the room.
The cleanliness of the room was poor - mould around the shower seals, large cobwebs dangling from the light fitting and from the ceiling above the bed.
We were moved to a room in another block which was much better (clean, more modern) but still probably below the level you would expect even from a Premier Inn.

Location was fantastic
It was strange that there was no menu on hand as the manager was compiling a new one. I thought it was strange there wasn't a menu, but wasn't impressed that I was asked to ring back a few days later to discover what it was - surely, they should have emailed me with the menu once it was written? There were 13 of us, and so we ate somewhere else instead

quirky, great location , reasonably priced for a single room

The breakfast was very good, a wide variety of both food and drinks available
I think there could be dairy-free options included readily in the rooms for tea/coffee, but the front desk were so helpful in that they had gone out of their way to provide us with it from the kitchen which was really lovely of them
