Lugar bonito

Lugar bonito. Desayunas con vistas a las montañas. Muy recomendable y muy cerca de la zona para hacer la excursión a la lengua del trol.

Great Views but right next to noisy industrial facility

The views overlooking the fjord are spectacular. The hotel is decent but a bit tired and the photos could have been a bit more honest about its location right adjacent to a very active (at 2 am!) industrial site.Great Breakfast.

No lift. Very expensive restaurant. Noisy industrial facility right next to and overlooked by the hotel.

Pleasant

The room was very basic but clean. The beds were comfortable and bathroom was quite big in size though quite basic. Their dinner was very good, the fish dish is highly recommended. The breakfast was nice too with some good breads and meats. The shared lounge was nice with beautiful paintings. We liked sitting there with coffee or wine enjoying the great views.

The room was too basic and had no tea or coffee facilities. No option to make your own cup of tea or coffee. No toiletries except a hand wash and body wash. No ironing board in the room. There is a flight of steps to get to the reception and then depending on your room another 2 or four flights of steps to carry luggage. No power point close to a mirror in case one needs to use one's own hair tool. Only mirror is in the bathroom

Ok for the night. Great view. The staff was super.

The bathroom was redone and nice had heated a floor.

There were no glasses to have a drink of water in the room. The room smelled old and musty.

Beautiful and relaxing place, close to Odda. Clean rooms, great restaurant and great breakfast.

The staff was very nice and helpful! The rooms was with nice view, clean and big! One of biggest advantages - personal parking. Very interesting interior of hotel. I liked it so much!

The breakfast choise was a bit narrow. But for one night stay - not worth mentioning.

Stay here only if you are hiking Trolltunga. Be aware of limited location and surroundings.

The hotel was clean and the dining room was pretty. Breakfast was good.

The hotel is in a very remote location and is located immediately adjacent to a mining factory facility that is terribly unattractive and noisy (operates 24-7). The pictures of the hotel deceptively suggest that the hotel is in a lovely rural location. It difficult to go for a walk or do anything from that location except stay in hotel room or common space or hike Trolltunga. The hotel should embrace their history— it was built for engineers to build the mining facility— rather than hiding it and risking disappointment of guests once they have arrived. Because of the remote location and inconsistent bus schedule to/ from Odda, you are a captive audience for their dinner, which was nice but fairly expensive.

Superb

Great location if you are in the area to hike Trolltunga. A bus station for transport to the hike start was only 50-75m from the hotel. The hotel had a beautiful view and food in the restaurant was extremely tasty. Although other reviews complained of noise from the factory, we found our stay quiet and undisturbed. The staff was extremely friendly and prepared a to-go meal for us, since we were leaving before breakfast. The sandwiches and fruit were perfect while on our day hike.

Exceptional

All staff, from the front desk guys to the breakfast help girls, are very friendly to help us for our various requests. The room is very clean and the most important, is very close to the trolltonga hiking. I will definitely recommend my friends to stay here if they visit Norway.

A nice hotel with comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Yet, in need of an upgrade.

This is an old (read: authentic) hotel in need of an upgrade. Yet, quite comfortable and with all basic equipment. Rooms were clean with a fully renovated bathroom and new furniture. The view over the fjords and its waterfalls was just stunning! The service was very friendly and attentive. There was some noise during the day and night coming from the nearby factory, but it did not prevent us from sleeping. Close to Trolltunga. They have an excellent restaurant with typically Norwegian food that we fully recommend.

The moquette in the corridor was old and full of stains and it did not give a cosy feeling. The restaurant room could be brighter, e.g. some table clothes could be used to make it appear less cold or walls could be painted in color. Our room was located on the first floor, but the lack of stairs might be problematic for those having higher rooms and heavy luggage.

A good pit stop to recharge before a strenuous hike to Trolltunga

Staff was helpful and able to meet request from customer. Room come with breakfast and hotel able to pack sandwiches for customers as breakfast to be carried for Trolltunga hike

A little expensive for a bare minimum room in a outskirt area, no bar fridge to store milk, no kettle in the room to make hot drinks, room was a good size but with minimum amenities
