Everything was perfect

The rooms and breakfast were lovely. We got diverted due to a nig storm and booked 3 rooms at the last minute. Very well satisfied.
4.1
Very comfortable rooms, great food and staff were terrific - friendly and helpful. Definitely would stay here again on a future trip to the area.

Hotel staff are great, bed and breakfast was delicious. Everything is homemade at breakfast and organic all the jams and nut butter ect
and it was so nice. The best breakfast we had in Norway.
Restaurant was delicious we ate their both nights (2) it is same menu though. So we would have had to find somewhere else to eat if we had stayed longer.
Rooms are so pretty and the view was lovely, we could see the lake. We were in the modern part which we preffered.
They had a coffee machine in the room and tea making facilities, which was great and a first for Norway. No other hotels we stayed in had this. We stayed 6 places over 10 days so got a good feel for deferent places and price points. This is good value for money.
Nothing about the hotel. The location is nice for a short stay but we would only stay a couple of nights as their aren't many restaurants near other than the hotel and it's about a 55 minute drive to stryn kommune where we spent 3 days and stayed 1 night.

Staff very nice and helpful
Very nice rooms & hotel
Sound insulation between ground (level 1) and first floor (level 2) not so good - we were disturbed one night until 2am by a group in the restaurant

real good tasting menue with VERY good service.

The beds were very comfortable.
Breakfast was fantastic.
The old building is gorgeous.
You could hear everything that the other rooms in your hallway were doing due to the ventilation system. It even amplified the sound.
The shower was not very good.

Location
at 3 am someone was vacuuming the room, rearranging the furniture, the water in the shower spilled all over the toilet

Variety of rooms and accommodations between “old” and new rooms. Conference center facilities. Available dinners are excellent and worth the little extra spent on a meal. Breakfast is typical for area hotels with added homemade jams and warm bread and homemade peanut butter and chocolate hazelnut spread (way better than you-know-what). Vegetarian options available with inquiry. Clean rooms and lovely staff.
Public seating area noisy next to kitchen area.

The staff is friendly, our room was very clean and nicely furnished. The beds are super soft and comfy. Breakfast had a lot of homemade products and catered for every taste. Just 2min walk from the hotel is the lakefront and the village center. There are a lot of parking spaces and charging is also possible.
We would recommend to provide a bath mat as the shower drain is too high and you flood the whole bathroom once you take a shower. Our room had the windows towards the dumpster and trash was thrown into them until midnight. A mini fridge would also have been a good addition to the room. There was only filtered coffee for breakfast.

Comfortable rooms
For one of the listed “Classic Norway Hotels” you’d expect a more stylish interior & a more professional staff.

Wonderful hotel! The room was very nicely decorated. The space in the reception area was super cozy and inviting. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. There were different kinds of homemade bread. There was a wide variety of food. Much of it was homemade too.
At night it was a bit noisy due to a wannabe Formula One driver who did his laps until three in the morning.

Very tasty dinner. Excellent buffet breakfast. The kitchen is TOP!

The dinner menu was indeed very nice, good food , tasty and well presented.
The hotel was not full and we got rooms at the back facing rock and ugly yard , it was what we paid and booked but sometimes as a business you need to look beyond what is in front of you. If not full then give rooms in the old building facing the waterfront and make it memorable, people talk and I would definitely would say is worth it to go there and stay.
The restaurant staff were a bit smelly and that is unpleasant serving such beautiful dishes.

Nice info service, about actual road situations.
nice breakfast.

Breakfast and dInner at the restaurant was unexpectedly fantastic. The breakfast spread was great where there were tons of options. Dinner was fantastic and the restaurant staff were fabulous!
They did not have tissue paper and it was hard to communicate in English to the front desk as it seemed like he did not really understand what we were requesting for.
4.1
The five course (or choice - you could pick one or more courses) evening meal was first class - the best meal we have had on our trip to Norway to date. They must have some very good chefs in the kitchen.
The buidling and rooms have character.
TV didn't work, but who cares?
4.1
Nice historic hotel,, comfortable rooms good restaurant and very nice breakfast
