I thought that there would be a sitting room and a bedroom I was disappointed that it was only a bedroom

Clean, compact but includes all you need for a comfortable break. Lovely location.

Very clean and comfortable room, shower was great and towel rail came in handy for drying out wet clothes. In excellent quiet location with beautiful view across the valley and plenty of walking options straight out the door.
Although we were fine, space was a bit limited and might get a bit cramped in bad weather if the wet clothes started piling up.

The location is perfect. The views across and towards Keswick and towards the Langdale Pikes are amazing. Truly a beautiful location. The garden is well kept and had seating to sit out in nice weather. The site is at the foot of Blencathra and so you have the looking mountain of Blencathra looking over you. It's a short drive to the town centre of Keswick. But it's nicely away from all the hustle and bustle. The rooms are well equipped and we're spotlessly clean. A large walk in shower heated towel rail and plenty of room to move about in the bathroom were a welcome feature to us.
The bed I think is a queen size. It was huge and very comfortable. We had a great night's sleep. There's a microwave, kettle, toaster and small fridge in there too. Plenty of hanging space in the wardrobe.
There is ample parking at the front of the premises. One of the nights we were there we ate at the Salutation Inn and enjoyed the food there. The staff were very welcoming there. The hosts Rachael and I think it may have been her mum, were great. Very friendly and welcoming. There was WiFi there which could be a bit sketchy now and then but was good about 80% of the time. It's a great spot and my wife and I have both said we will stay there again. It's the perfect spot and well positioned for the North Lakes.
Nothing. Can't fault it. The weather was poor but that's nothing to do with the site at all.

Very comfortable, clean and modern property. The view was amazing. The ability to sit outside expanded the size of the room. There were nice amenities such as a refrigerator, microwave, tea kettle and toaster. Within walking distance to a pub within Threlkeld and a short drive to Keswik. Wonderful location for walking and hiking. Host was friendly and informative. We stayed 2 nights but could have easily stayed longer.

Fantastic veiws, the location was perfect for all the parts of the lakes, everything we needed for the room was to hand would definitely return and recommend to anyone wanting to stay at the lakes.

Lovely room clean beautiful furnished seating area outside. Great for a village stay 2 local public houses, walking distance from the property. Bus service from the village.
The next room to us room 2 we were in room 1 were very heavy smokers just outside the room. Maybe an area should be allocated for smokers. We don't smoke or vape and unfortunately dislike the smell makes me cough.
Heavy smoking travels when windows are open,so we had to keep them closed on Friday and the weather was glorious.

The stay was very enjoyable and had a lovely time in the village as well as nearby towns. The views are outstanding and rooms are very clean, would highly recommend.
I think the mirror light was a bit broken and a few wall fixtures needed screwing in but this didn’t affect our stay so wasn’t an issue.

The views were absolutely breathtaking & the staff who I met were so lovely. It just felt like home from home. Can’t wait to come back!
I loved everything - the only thing I would say is that the mattresses were to single ones so during the night I had to posh them together once or twice. I can’t fault my stay.

The hotel was near perfect. The unobstructed view from the room of mountains was a joy each morning. The facilities included a fridge, microwave and toaster, plus all the plates and cutlery. Also the owner didn't skimp with the tea and coffee, there were even sachets of fresh milk in the fridge. With a comfy bed, a powerful shower and peace and quiet, all at a reasonable price, you have a perfect stay.
Nothing not to like.
