The cooked breakfast was excellent but no cereals were available. The orange juice and tea/coffee were very good.
The room was immaculately clean and we loved the decor and a great welcome from Amanda.
A bowl of cereals at breakfast would have been appreciated.

They welcomed us with a friendly smile and couldn't do enough for us. This is the 2nd time I've been and I will definitely go again. We said hello to the lovely Border Terrier puppies that they had at the time of our visit. I couldn't wish for a better place to stay

The breakfast was better than expected. Arranged for 9 o clock, sat down and it was served within minutes.
The approach road is single track and in need of repair in places.

Stayed for 1 night and booked the single room, I was surprised but delighted to see a double bed.
Room had an ensuite WC and wash basin, shower was located at the end of the hallway.
Room was warm and cosy.
Hairdryer, iron and board available if required.
Tea and coffee making facilities including hot chocolate with biscuits, a very nice touch.
Host Amanda was super friendly and prepared a lovely fried breakfast this morning , what a great start to the day...
Looking forward to returning ...
Stunning location with free parking.

Spent 1 night and the room was really clean with all details in place. Bit of fresh milk, different types of coffee, warm and same level of a hotel, but smaller.
difficult to find unless you know the area or you google it.

Friendly hosts & decent cooked breakfast.
Exterior to property was messy, allot of ornaments and unnecessary stuff on the shelves inside the self contained bungalow making the property look untidy. Beds were not comfortable and the bedding although clean was old and shabby, duvets were plastic beneath the cover. Decor is very dated and brown scum around the bath shower screen. Kitchen towels didn't smell very clean and a strong aroma of air freshener throughout the property.

Cottage was beautiful and perfect for our family
Great location on route to our destination
Loved the outside play area for the kids
No choice at breakfast, just to say what we don’t want and limited kids options. Managed to give us cereal left from grandkids which we were grateful for

A beautiful setting with a very friendly host. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, cosy and with some lovely thoughtful touches: fresh milk choccy biscuit, magnified make up mirror, dressing gown, quality toiletries, a very comfy bed. A well cooked breakfast with good choices. And all at a ridiculously low price!
One or two areas could do with a freshening up of paint.

very rural but accessible location - homely feel
Hosts were super lovely people and made me feel welcome.
Moths were flying around my room (although I could tell I had clean bedding etc). just a little musty in places.
no access to amenities or essentials ie milk for tea.
it wasn’t en-suite as described . the shower was across the hallway. it was loud-you could hear every time anyone came in- you could even hear what they were saying. doors slightly on the thin side for a B and B.
needed a bit of updating eg some wires etc were held together by gaffa tape/ tv was not screwed in safely.
the heating was turned off at night and I was freezing cold -even with my pyjamas on.. It didn’t come on until around 0700. I really felt it or I would not have commented.

Amanda was very welcoming and friendly throughout our weekend stay, even straightening my wife's hair before we went out to a wedding. Breakfast was well cooked and plenty enough to take us through our day. The property had a very homely feel and a great view across the Solway Firth. Thanks, Amanda, for a pleasant stay!
Everything was great.

a bit remote

Amanda was so welcoming and accommodating even though I booked last minute, I love the peace and quiet here as the location is secluded and rural.
The room is in a traditional stone bothy style building with south west facing windows, boy did I sleep well!.
I was very lucky to find such a great value place to stay and will definitely be coming here again!
Nothing ☺
