Schöner Tripp in die Vergangenheit - wenn man keine Ansprüche stellt.

Das alte Gebäude und die dazu passenden Zimmer lassen erahnen, wie man früher in Island gelebt hat. War quasi ein Ausflug in die Vergangenheit. Der Blick vom dazugehörigen Restaurant aus auf 3 Gletscher ist fantastisch. Parkraum gibt es reichlich.

Das früher tolle Restaurant (man braute auch eigenes Bier) bietet nur noch sehr eingeschränkt Mahlzeiten an. Fehlt wohl am Personal, auch in Island nur noch schwer zu finden.

A great rural location and nice studio.

Loved to see the chickens and ducks just outside the window

Floor to ceiling window opposite bed facing towards restaurant building, so had to keep it shut for privacy but would have liked to be able to watch the chickens etc. Bathrooms could have been better..

I love how friends the owner were.

I don’t like the cats that were around the area and trying to get close to you to pet them. I notice one of cats had fleas and I did woke up with a lot flea bites all over my body, ear, legs, and arm. I didn’t have those bites before I got there but I’ll say if you stay here just stay away from the animal

Perfect for your trip to Höfn and close to Glacier Lagoon.

Very clean. Comfortable bedding. Sink in the bedroom was very helpful. They provide everything you need. Great couple who run it. They gave me a great recommendation for dinner in Höfn. Cool brewery in their restaurant bar. Hearty breakfast included. Loved seeing all the lambs frolicking about. Picture perfect! Thank you to my hosts!

ideal accomodation on a beautiful farm land near Höfn

pros : starting by the hosts ; they were so kind and lovely to chat with. breakfast : pretty good and filling before you hit the road again. they have a small functional kitchen. cozy and warm room. it was a peaceful stay on the farm land. just 20 mins away from the accomodation, there's a small town that has few restaurants as well.

cons : there was nothing we didn't like.

Exceptional

we loved the country rustic atmosphere of the place and the hosts were super nice! cozy cutest room and a rich breakfast full of homemade products which you could shop as well at super honest prices! I fell in love with the rhubarb and cinnamon compote :) unfortunately we didn’t try the restaurant for dinner but will surely be back for the summer.

We wished the restaurant was open, it looked awesome! We loved the cat walking around and how clean everything was. Also the bathroom was shared with a few other rooms. Thanks

It was really wet and slippery outside and it made it tricky to move between room and kitchen.

Convenience Location

Wonderful owner, friendly and attentive. Very good breakfast a lot of things to eat, fresh food. Great views. I was able to see the Northern lights from this location. Small faucet in room. Friendly farm cat. Excellent location and room for the price. Shared bathroom was clean

Great stay!

The owners are super friendly and gave us a very warm welcome after a cold and rainy day. The beds were really nice and we slept perfect. Great breakfast too!

The guesthouse is a bit old fashioned. Turned out we actually quite liked that, but it's good to keep in mind to don't expect a modern accommodation.

Perfect icelandic hospitality

Super location infront of 4 glaciers with views of highest point in iceland too. Amazing kindness and hospitality from delightful couple Magnus and Gudrew who own the farm. Great strong hot showers and very comfy beds. Breakfast served in a fascinating room like a converted barn windows on 3 sides, complete with dinner tables, armchairs, telescope for viewing the glacier, real piano and every type of musical instrument in one corner and a bar along another wall.

Long walk to glacier face (8km) although from the window it looks less than 1km away it's so big!. However very close to Höfn and only 15 minutes from Glacier adventure snowmobiling and Glacier hiking tour starting points. Reindeer that frequent farm were not there July to September

Good location. Great views of a glaciers A good breakfast is included.

I think the price was high, however, this area of South Iceland does not have enough hotels/guest houses. Tiny room. The common kitchen is available, but it is very tiny. It tiny space for people in the guest house. There are no accessories in the kitchen and no cleaning.

A cosy guesthouse, good as a waypoint if you're travelling through the area.

Quaint guesthouse with extremely friendly and helpful staff. Decent breakfast. The fact they let me check in earlier than the official check-in time.

Food in the restaurant was sadly fairly average and the secluded location meant it was the only option. A very late standard earliest check-in time (5pm) mean having to wait around in the rain.
