On the beach
Food was very good
Staff was friendly
Beds were comfortable
Nightly shows were entertaining
Room was way too hot
Could not bear the heat in our room, we requested a fan but they said there were none available
The room was so hot we could not sleep and felt drained which kept us from enjoying the day
We requested a change in room and we were upgraded to a cooler room for $100 per night should of been free upgrade
Pool bar ran out of ice and beer so they closed the bar instead of restocking it
Many other guest were also complaining about their hot rooms

The ocean view is awesome, staff very polite and willing to accommodate in all aspects.
The air conditioning isn’t cold enough as the lowest setting is 21C and constantly shutting down for a few minutes then work again for a few minutes.
They should have two more hot tubs on the pool area.

Amplio, diverso y cuidado en el detalle
El baño de los cuartos no funcionaba bien especialmente el lavamanos y la regadera y los toma corrientes no funcionaban todos correctamente.

Proximity to the beach, good location, short bus ride to downtown, walking distance from El Rey, very clean, and nice pools. Fun activities. Jamie from the entertainment team hosted a fantastic New Year’s Eve party. He was very friendly and kind.
There was an issue with the shower and the toilet in our room. But the staff was responsive and sent someone to fix it right away. I wish the restaurants opened earlier. It was difficult to get a table. I tried to reserve a table in the Japanese restaurant 3 days before our departure but it was booked.

Beachfront and lots of pools although too cold to even dip toes in
There were lots of negatives unfortunately. Could not get into 2 of the specialty restaurants despite trying every night as soon as they opened. Different outcome depending on who you were. Pools were freezing, not even many kids would get it. My daughter never lets the cold stop her and she spent a total of 5 minutes in the pool the 6 days we were there. Food choices during the day were very limited. No waitstaff which is unusual at these types of places. We spent alot of time in line for drinks or food. Entertainment was subpar and we even paid for a magic show which was short and not worth a premium. No medical supplies on site, even though they advertise medical services? We had to take a taxi to pharmacy at midnight to get a basic syringe. They give you resort coupons that you can use and we purchased the $200 champagne to get the discount and they wouldn’t give us the credit because it wasn’t activated, whatever that means. Every problem we had, no solution. Always trying to make more money off you in a scam like manner. The entire time they have people approaching you to sell you on this or that. Not much to do at night, entertainment wise. Constant miscommunication that ended up costing us which felt intentional at times.

Beach, pool, staff
Messy reservation system for restaurants. Even tough only Japanese is supposed to be booked, when you go to others (rather than the buffet one) it’s fully booked because people have booked it early and you can’t go in (even with no queue outside)

Being right on the beach was amazing. We LOVED the hibachi dinner experience. Even when the beach and pool areas were busy it never felt too overcrowded.
Wish the pool bar had more seating around it. Drinks were sickly sweet for our tastes. Hot tubs were only hot one time when we tried going in them.

Buena selección de comida y bebida
Buenos horarios

The hotel was nice.
Good pool
Beach was nice
When we first checked in and tried to book restaurants straight away for our 2 night stay, they were all, already booked out. Had to beg and plead and then suddenly they had options on times. How is that possible? Terrible system.
Food tasted average. There was a lot of food but nothing was wow. Steak restaurant was horrible - service was terrible, food was below average.
Husband doesnt eat fish but all other seafood or meats etc is fine. Told this to the hibachi restaurant and they didnt give him the first two courses! No alternative was offered. Not 5 star service.
Cocktails seemed watered down.

I liked the pools and I liked the view from our room.
The food. we spent a week prior travelling all throughout mexico, and we figured we would try and all inclusive for 2 nights... the food was absolutely horrible. We had to drive off resort to eat. The only edible food was in the Snack Truck by the beach. The Buffet was horrible. The Sausages were either not cooked, or completely overcooked.. the pasta had no taste. We figured if we booked in the Steak house that maybe it would be better... we were so wrong. I ordered a steak with mac and cheese and Truffle Fries... I received 5 fries with a chunk of parm.. cold. The mac and cheese was old and hard.. and completely cold. My partner ordered the Creamed Spinach and it was also completely cold... the steak was ok, but two tables next to us walked out because their steak looked boiled and not edible..
its disappointing because we had amazing food outside of the resort. The hotel is either understaffed or something... no reason food should be THIS bad.

Timing of room service and a bunch of random fees added at the end…

The hotel is amazing, the staff is so well trained catering to your every need. The food is plentiful, full of variety and choices, everything fresh and tasty.
The room was big, the view was amazing and everything was super clean. It is truly an experience we will be repeating in the future!
It should have more space for children to play at. Also, I would recommend families with small children to get a room not facing the pool area as naps might get interrupted by the DJ and echo of music and stuff.

Most of the staff was friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were cool and not stuffy.
One of the staff did not let my wife sing karaoke in Spanish. They said it had to be an English song. Umm weird! The gym closed too early. The elevators were so uncomfortably hot. I couldn’t book ANY special restaurant visits as they were booked every day.

Iberostar Selection in Cancun was nice. The rooms and property were clean. The breakfast was alright, nothing special. The dinner was good. We had to make reservations for the Hibachi, Steak and American dining rooms. The Hibachi and Steak restaurants were alright. The beach and pools were clean.
The building, restaurant and rooms were super hot. The air conditioner was struggling to work. One night we ate in a restaurant and the electric stopped working. Also, the air conditioner did not work. This is unacceptable, especially for the the prices the resort is asking.

Irwin, waiter at buffet was superior. Pool and outdoor service on point. Quesadilla trailer awesome. Paella Excellent. Enjoyed fruit cart.
Food was ok at buffet, but meat service, cut and serve, was slow often unstaffed. Japanese grill restaurant below average: Needed second Chief, NO Sauces Offered, steak tough, rice and shrimp overcooked. More training required; additional Chief needed for number of guests served. Very Limited bourbon selection low quality.

Staff was very nice.
Where should I begin. Pool open until 8pm only. The food meh. The beverage selection was limited and not good. No music or evening music/ entertainment. Had to reserve to eat in almost all the restaurants. Kids and other events had to be purchased. The bartender in the sports Ramiro was excellent and went above and beyond. The room service and cleaning was basic. So sad. Will not be back to that hotel. Upper management did not try to make it better experience, so sad.

The staff is attentive and helpful.
The hotel is run down. Food is average. There is a disparity between their advertised category and the real one. I'd say it is a cat 3. The coffee place had very good coffee.

Great amenities and food, beautiful pool and beachfront.
Our AC in our room was broken and no one was able to fix it for us. I didn’t like how the concierge was so pushy about going to the Iberostar Club presentation. We chose not to go and they kept asking us over and over why not. The gym was also way too hot and stuffy.

great location, beautiful beach, nice restaurants, great views
close to public beach meaning anyone can access hotel beach and pools via the beach. I have witnessed some local guys stealing one of the guest phone on the hotel beach

Everything was great, we loved our stay ! The beds are very comfortable, there are many restaurants offering varied and good food, the staff is lovely, the pool is huge and the garden lovely. We particularly liked the singer on Wednesday evening, (Garcia), he should come more often. We will come back !
Big thanks to the team who took care of us during our stay: Raul (Reception), Martin (American Bistrot), Hector (aquagym), Irving (breakfast), Carlos (towels), Manual (drinks at Carey), Felix (spa)

I love how clean they had the beach area, the pool areas were always very clean. I loved the whole variety of drinks that bartenders were able to make to us. The food truck by the pool was very good. The hotel room was always very clean and the A/C worked very well. The restroom we had in the room had an extractor which helped keep the humidity out of the room always.
We were there for the entire week and the hotel only has 3 elevators, which one of them was broken since the day we got there or even before we were there. They never seemed to be fixing it, and the others took very long to come down. The pool beds were available for you only if you paid $9 dlls to use them, which is something I have never seen before. Also, they would charge for some of the activities that the entertainment staff would do such as for aqua-bike or a magician night show, whenever every guest is asked to pay a fee at the end of their stay that goes directly to entertainment. Another thing we noticed is that on the restaurants there was not a lot of waitresses that would come to us often to take away our dirty plates, we had to keep asking them to take away our used plates; maybe we visit during low season, but it was kind of noticeable to us.

staff is very nice when tipping a small amt
buffet food
rooms… rooms are not even close to OK as you can hear EVERYTHING through the connecting room’s door … we changed rooms after the first night but it was the same… the neighbours werent loud at all but you can hear everything the way they are talking, watching tv or coughing early in the morning…
signature restaurants food ate worse than in the buffet.. i had ribeye in the steakhouse, very poor Q meat and prep.. i had Ossobuco (for extra fee) in the italian… horrible - Im happy to send picture of my “food” to the management.. tthat plate was sitting in the kitchen probably for days! burnt dry very poor food.
BUT! food in the buffet -> excellent! we really liked buffet any time of the day! fresh, good tasting, very diversed!

Top hotel with everything you need and wish. Best part was the fact that we could use the hotel’s facilities on the day of checking out due to late flight which was very appreciated!!!
We weren’t able to book the restaurants in the resort due to fully booked which wasn’t pleasant at all, at least give us a heads up that these need to be booked in advance rather than finding out at the check in counter!

The service was great! Tania (concierge), Israel feom the prestige program, and Israel (bartender at the beach prestiege bar) were Amazing!!
The a/c could be cooler it was warm in the room all 3 nights.

Check-in/check-out went pretty smoothly. The room was clean (except for the windows). The shower and the bathroom had new fixtures. We really enjoyed the food, although the selection was scarce, and the same stuff was served almost every day. There were freshly squeezed juices every morning and they even have a cafe with decent coffee and desserts. Coffee in the main restaurant is the most disgusting one I've ever tried though. The pool area was nice and there was an area for kids with water slides which our toddler liked a lot.
The hotel seems understaffed, and the overall service is sub-par and definitely not up to the price you pay. Our room was never cleaned properly. Sometimes even beds were not made completely - as if they have limited time per room and they just stopped doing whatever they were doing and moved on to the next one. The room had glass water bottles that were supposed to be refilled daily, however they never were. We had to go and refill them ourselves. Staff in the kitchen would often ignore us and keep doing their own thing. In the middle of our stay, we were invited to have a breakfast with a representative of their own vacation club or whatever it was called, during which we were pitched a bunch of benefits we would've got had we joined the club. The presentation went on after the breakfast and lasted for 1.5 hours or even longer and in the end, we were offered to join the club for a ridiculous amount of money part of which was supposed to be paid right away. To cut it short - the whole story is a typical scam from 90s which is not worth attention and simply takes one of your mornings away. Lastly - the beach had a red flag 99% of the time because of huge waves which was very disappointing - not sure if this is always the case or it's just our bad luck.

beautiful grounds and a great beach
plumbing and A/C issues in the room, wait on line to check in, short staffed so service at restaurants was sacrified. Pool and hot tubs were COLD and there is absolutely no nightlife.

This was our first time flying to Mexico and we had were looking forward to indulging in a great vacation. By far this hotel blew our minds away!
Cleanliness is my biggest thing and as you walked in to the lobby the fresh scent smell was outstanding. Huge shout out to the house keeping staff for maintaining all the hotel as clean as they do. Our room got cleaned on a daily basis and always provided clean towels! The room was not only spotless but had beautiful ocean and resort views.
Customer service was outstanding from everyone. The staff really knows how to leave a great impression from the minute you walk out of the cab, to check in / out, and the service in the bars and restaurants, the entertainment crew are also 5 Stars!
The food is delicious from Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner! there variety of food selections and restaurants is impressive. The drinks are also delicious!!
Again this hotel had everything we loved the stay and can’t wait to go back again!
