Weinig daglicht. Je moest altijd een lamp aan doen.

Appartement entier et spacieux.
2 chambres, un salon, une grande cuisine bien équipée et un espace extérieur à l’ombre pour dîner.
Comme il pleuvait, on a dîné à l’intérieur.

We had a brilliant time. The facilities are so well designed. We had beach towels and shoe towels in addition to the usual set of towels. So useful when we did activities and helped us keep the room and our belongings clean. The clean laundry bag was returned with matched socks by staff - the care was exceptional! There was plenty of hot water around the clock, which other hotels in Belize and Mexico have struggled with.
The pool area and gardens were beautiful. We had a lovely garden tour and reception staff helped us design and book an exciting day trip to Pine Ridge Forests. We enjoyed the hotel breakfast and easily ordered dinner from good San Ignacio restaurants. Cannot wait to come back!
Nothing.

What I loved most about staying at the Maya Mountain Lodge was the friendliness of all the staff. Cesear was the first person to greet us kindly and give us all the information. Levi was wonderful when we had to change rooms because of an unusual problem with the electricity and we very much enjoyed the complimentary tour of the medicinal garden on the grounds with Carlos. I loved being in the swimming pool looking up all the tropical plants. It felt like a slice of heaven. We also had some wonderful meals prepared by great people in the dining room. Thank you to all of you.

Prachtige setting en vriendelijk behulpzaam personeel. Ruime, schone accomodatie.

Zeer vriendelijke mensen, prachtige tuin.

The property was wonderful! It's like you're staying in a botanical garden. Trees are labeled, so you know what you're looking at. The room itself was equipped with a full kitchen and air conditioning. No TV, but that just encourages you to relax on a hammock, or at the pool to take advantage of the natural surroundings. You are really in the mountainside, so expect bugs. It's about a 25 minute walk into San Ignacio, but keep in mind you'll be going uphill if you walk back. Staff was very very accommodating and friendly.
Wi-Fi was a little spotty at times, but not a big deal.

We loved the friendly people, beautiful property, refreshing pool and the fact that the maid service was provided. it was close to the town but secluded. We were cooking and the stores were close to the lodge.

Next-level customer service--Levi was fantastic and very understanding when we had a delay in our travel plans. Our cabin was comfortable and clean. We took advantage of the onsite breakfasts and dinners; not only were they convenient, but Theo and Francelia put food on the table that rivaled anything we could get in a restaurant.
I've wracked my brain on this. We honestly cannot come up with anything about our experience at Maya Mountain Lodge that could have been better. Top notch!

The grounds are huge, tons of personal space and really in nature, breakfast was great and location is very close to San Ignacio and on the road to Caracol, Rio On pools...great spot

The staff were all so friendly! The property was well-maintained and it felt like a jungle oasis. I appreciated staff recommendations for things to do and places to eat. I especially loved hanging out in the hammock during a rainstorm!
I don't really know how it could be prevented in the jungle, but there were a few tiny lizards and bugs in the bungalow. It was a little unsettling for a few seconds, but then everything was fine!

Great location, very friendly staff, quiet and clean.

This place is beautiful and the staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful (Gian was amazing). They helped arrange tours and transfers before we arrived, taxis and a massage once we arrived... amazing. The grounds are stunning, lush and relaxing and the optional extra of breakfast is well worth it.
We loved everything, just good to note it's in Santa Elena rather than San Ignacio town so a short cab ride is needed to get into town. Not an issue as it's inexpensive and the staff at Maya Mountain will call one for you.

Quiet location right outside of town. Great to have our own screened in kitchen and deck.
We had a great time.

Loved how peaceful and full of nature the surroundings are ! The staff were amazing and the kitchen had the best breakfast burritos . Great coffee available to make in the rooms and enjoy in the hammock !

Very comfortable stay. We were only there for a few days but would have enjoyed being there longer. We appreciated everything that was availlable, kitchen, pool, help with tours.

Beautiful place, quiet yet close to town.
Bathroom tile grout coming loose & needs cleaning . No option for a queen or king bed.

We had a great stay! The outdoor kitchen was very good with everything one would need. It was screened, so we had no mosquitoes to worry about. It has tropical feeling the cottages amongst the foliage. We bought food to cook but never ate at the restaurant. The people running it were nice and very helpful with the tours. They recommended a very good company to do the ATM tour. We had a car so getting around for us was never an issue. We would recommend a car for this area of Belize as you would miss to much if you didn’t have one. Town is a little bit of a walk, but not too far. Local stores just down the hill for food.

We enjoyed our stay here, it was quiet and peaceful and surrounded by nature. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the chocolate cake for dessert in the restaurant was amazingly good.
There needs to be better protection against mosquitoes getting into the rooms.

Fantastic location, absolutely stunning setting. Lovely staff, extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner available on request, authentic local food. Lots to do in the local area, but also just a beautiful place to relax. Strongly recommended!

wonderful location in jungle but close to town - very kind and helpful especially Levi and other hosts - they went out of their way for us - beautiful grounds and spacious apartment (we stayed in peace house near the office) - pool area was nice - liked the trail through the property - they did laundry for us for $8 USD - they helped arrange transportation to Tikal via connections without going with a tour group
our apartment got a lot of noise from street and other neighbors (off property) - maybe just late night party at Christmas, but firecrackers — peace house itself was spacious but did have the views of the surrounding apartments because it was next to the office

The grounds are beautiful and the accomodations were comfortable and spacious with a great kitchen. If I was a writer it would be the perfect place to write a book.
Everything was great

Beautiful designed and very well kept Maya Mountain Lodge is the inbetween of being in a remote Jungle Lodge and being near the city.
It is just outside of the sister town San Elena, it is doable to get there by walking (though not really recommendable in the dark, and there are free roaming dogs that can get aggressive). The compound is very beautiful, a lush jungle garden, and the bungalows are equipped with a nice kitchen and terrace. We loved the opportunity to have a quick jump into the pool after a long, sweaty day on a trip.
The staff was very friendly and helpful with all our needs, they arranged trips and regular taxi calls for us, which all were great, and were also helpful in giving us tipps which trips are recommendable for the season and which not.
During our stay there was no option to have meals or drinks, as the restaurant hasn‘t been opened again. There was the possibility to oder food by restaurants in town or go there by taxi, but for breakfast before early morning trips it was a bit difficult. They started the process of reopening the restaurant the day we left, which was a bit unfortunate for us, but it will be very beneficial for the guests in the future.

the staff genuinely care for you! the surroundings were amazing and very well kept!! nothing was too much trouble, even running into town to the pharmacy for us while we were out for the day!! the place is fantastic....the staff are even better. thankyou Maya Mountain
nothing not to like but take plenty of bug spray, you will need it

Lovely setting. Beautiful garden. Nice to have a pool. Great decks and hammocks. Large room with well equipped kitchen. Peaceful and relaxing. Lots of birds and wildlife.
Needed a taxi back from town. No food available on site ( but we knew this). All of the facilities were clean and worked but felt a bit tired.

The staff were really wonderful and looked after us during the hurricane, and we’re really accommodating when we needed to change dates. the garden was beautiful and well maintained. It had a well stocked kitchen, and nice pool area.
Mosquitoes - bring repellant!

We loved our cute little jungle hut! The hammocks were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. Plenty of hot water and beautiful grounds. The pool was nice and clean. The staff, especially Jina, was very helpful and accommodating. We were here during the hurricane and the staff made sure we were safe and had everything we needed. The power in town was out, but due to the generator, we were only without for a short time. Also, they brought a grill to our patio so we could grill out- very sweet!
The toilet flooded our room the last night in the middle of the night and though they were sympathetic, I feel a little more could have been done to compensate us for the trouble.
