Very friendly and helpful, even though we didn't speak the language. An amazing experience.

The island is home to the family that runs the lodge. they was all extremely friendly and helpful. we felt like a part of the family by the time we left.
The rooms don’t have heaters. it’s not a problem once you’re in bed, but it was a bit cold to unwind before bed

our stay wity Jenny and her family was amazing. They took us from Puno (extra cost but still cheaper than with others), took care of us and shared their culture with us. You can have lunch and dinner with them for an extra cost (25 Pen) and take also trips( we recommend you the fishing trip and the “city tour” of the islands). Thank you a lot for everything!

We booked only one night of stay in Quechua lodge due to reason we had to shorten out trip, but definitely would extend stay. Why?
First of all, Jenny the owner, sweet lady was in touch with us before trip and picked us up on boat from shore. She is very friendly and can be ur guide basically, answering all questions about floating islands (in spanish only :p). We were the only ones in lodge, staying in new panoramic window little house for two. It was super clean, warm (we travelled in Dec), with many blankets and bathroom, where hot water was available! In morning Jenny made us breakfast with special fresh pan she makes on island. On area there is a restaurant and souvenir shop. So don’t overthink u stay hungry on island. Everything is available over there, even pisco sour :)
Definitely would come back and spend more time on islands next time
Covid times: Jenny was wearing mask while being with us, our house had sanitizer on wall.
I think u should build more houses like the one we stayed at or improve to same level exisiting ones 🙂

There is absolutely nothing to do on the floating lodge. If you want some quiet time then this is a good place. It gets cold at night plus no hot water in the shower.
